This study aims to uncover students' subjective experiences in multicultural-based social studies learning, oriented toward deep learning, in responding to cultural diversity in the school environment. This study used a qualitative approach with a phenomenological approach to understand the meaning of students' experiences. This research was conducted at SMAN 8 Gowa in grade XI Social Studies, involving two teachers and four students as informants selected purposively. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted inductively through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results indicate that multicultural social studies learning resulted in meaningful learning experiences for students, including: (1) understanding diversity as a social reality, (2) growing tolerance and empathy, (3) developing critical thinking skills regarding social phenomena, (4) establishing inclusive social and cultural integration within the school, and (5) realizing reflective and contextual deep learning. This study was limited to the number of informants and the research context at SMAN 8 Gowa, making the findings contextual. Future research is recommended to involve a wider range of informants and expand the study of multicultural learning at various levels of education.
