This study aims to describe the problem-solving abilities of Grade VII C students at SMPK St. Paulus Karuni regarding the topic of 2D shapes through the implementation of the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) learning model, based on Polya’s four problem-solving stages: understanding the problem, devising a plan, carrying out the plan, and looking back. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach with Grade VII C students at SMPK St. Paulus Karuni as the subjects. Data were collected through problem-solving ability tests, interviews, and documentation, and subsequently analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the students' problem-solving abilities can be described through Polya’s four stages. Students were able to identify given and required information and determine appropriate strategies to solve the problems. During the stage of carrying out the plan, some students still made errors in the calculation process. The ability to review the solution results also varied, as not all students verified the answers they obtained. The implementation of NHT provided students with opportunities to discuss, exchange strategies, express opinions, and take responsibility for group outcomes during the problem-solving process.
