Metabolic conditions among older adults contribute to the risk of cardiovascular disease and chronic complications. This assessment aimed to describe health characteristics and selected metabolic risk factors among older adults in Sungai Bawang Cultural Village, Muara Badak, Kutai Kartanegara, East Kalimantan, Indonesia. Activities in 2021 included coordination with village and health personnel, training of five community health cadres, and screening and structured interviews during older-adult community health sessions. Data from 46 older adults were summarized descriptively; the activity report also included association analyses for selected risk factors. Thirty-three participants (71.7%) were women, and 19 (41.3%) had never attended school. Forty participants (87.0%) were classified as insufficiently physically active, 22 (47.8%) had an overweight BMI classification, 37 (80.4%) were reported to consume more than 5 g of salt per day, and 37 (80.4%) consumed more than 67 g of fat per day. Hypertension and cholesterol-related conditions were frequently reported. The findings support regular screening, dietary education, physical activity adapted to individual capacity, and family support for chronic disease management.
