<![CDATA[This article aims to formulate a model of pastoral care that is both communicative and transformative in responding to these phenomena, using a qualitative approach based on literature studies. The study combines two theoretical frameworks: Carl Rogers' Person-Centered theory and Howard Clinebell's theory of pastoral functions. Rogers contributes three core relational conditions: congruence, unconditional acceptance, and empathetic understanding as the foundation for the communicative aspect of pastoral care, which is the quality of a safe and trustworthy pastoral presence. Meanwhile, Clinebell contributes five pastoral functions: sustaining, healing, guiding, reconciling, and nurturing as the basis for the transformative dimension, which is the direction and process of restoration towards spiritual growth and personal maturity. The study results indicate that these two frameworks are mutually interdependent. The relational quality of Roger is a prerequisite for Clinebell's pastoral functions to work effectively and be trusted by the counselees, while Clinebell's functions provide direction so that that warm pastoral relationship truly brings real transformation. The output of this research is a conceptual model of pastoral care in the form of a matrix of pastoral functions, relational conditions, and mentoring techniques, differentiated according to types of father absence (substitute father, evil father, memory father, and ghost father). This model can serve as an initial reference for church youth ministry and needs to be tested empirically in further studies.]]>
