This classroom action research aims to describe the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model based on Deep Learning assisted by LKPD Kripusa, improving critical thinking skills, and improving student learning outcomes on response text material in class VII of SMP Negeri 6 Madiun. The research was conducted in two cycles which included the planning stage, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were class VII students of SMP Negeri 6 Madiun. Data collection techniques used observation, tests, and documentation. Data were analyzed descriptively quantitatively and qualitatively. The results of the study showed that the application of the Problem Based Learning model based on Deep Learning assisted by LKPD Kripusa was able to improve critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes. Critical thinking skills increased from an average of 58.4% in the pre-cycle to 74.8% in the first cycle and increased again to 87.4% in the second cycle. Student learning outcomes also increased as indicated by the average class value from 78.2 in the pre-cycle to 83.7 in the first cycle and 88.4 in the second cycle. Classical completeness increased from 72.4% in the pre-cycle to 86.2% in cycle I and 96.6% in cycle II. In addition, student activity increased from 78% with the active category in cycle I to 91% with the very active category in cycle II. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the application of the Problem Based Learning model based on Deep Learning assisted by LKPD Kripusa is effective in improving critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes on response text material in class VII of SMP Negeri 6 Madiun.
