Abstract

The COVID-19 virus pandemic has spread throughout the world. This makes a lot of impact in all sectors. One of the impacts is in the education sector. Government policies are carried out to break the chain of the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Therefore, the government requires studying at home. The number of tasks that must be completed by students both individually and in groups causes a lot of burnouts. To reduce burnout, resources are needed as a buffer so that the burnout level can be reduced. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of learning demand with personal moderators and organization resources on burnout. This research was conducted by distributing questionnaires to 74 Industrial Engineering students at Petra Christian University. After the data was collected, the researchers analysed descriptively and to determine the effect between variables using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) method. The results of the study stated that learning demand had a significant positive effect on burnout. Personal Resources as a moderator is able to weaken the influence of learning demand on burnout. Organizational resources as moderators are not able to significantly weaken or strengthen the influence of learning demand on burnout.

Abstract

Several reasons contribute to specific students' academic burnout due to the ongoing transformations in online learning. This literature review aims to determine how and to what extent students experienced burnout during the COVID-19 epidemic. Utilizing Google Scholar, 16 journals with the keyword "student's academic burnout" are uncovered through a study of the relevant literature. The analysis results of 15 journal papers indicate that students' learning processes induce academic burnout, so they exhibit emotional and physical tiredness, a tendency to depersonalize, and a lack of learning motivation. This has numerous effects on students, including rapid emotional change and heightened sensitivity. In addition, burnout has several adverse effects, including poor academic accomplishment, academic procrastination by students, decreased sleep quality, and suboptimal academic work, which calls for additional research to address academic burnout issues in students. This review concludes that most students during this epidemic reported burnout at medium to severe levels.

Abstract

Introduction: Dense block system and online learning during the covid-19 pandemic has led to complaints of boredom, tiredness and fatigue causing academic fatigue syndrome (academic burnout). Unresolved academic burnout will lead to a decline in academic achievement and decrease of interest in education. This also affects the performance of educational institutions. Therefore, it is necessary to take action to address academic burnout in students.  This research aims to determine the effect of academic self-efficacy training on academic burnout experienced by nursing students. Methods: The method used was quantitativequasy-experimental with Pre-test Post-test Design with control group. The research was conducted at two nursing education institutions in Indonseia during July-August 2020. A total of 90 research respondents were selected with simple random sampling technique.  The instrument used in this study was the Maslach Burnout Inventory-Student Survey (MBI-SS).  Research data was then analyzed using paired t test and Independet test. Results: Paired t test in the treatment group obtained p value = 0.000. This means that there is a difference in academic burnout before and after intervention in this group, while the test results in the control group obtained p value = 0.170 meaning that there is no difference before and after intervention. Independent t test result showed the value of p = 0.000, indicating differences in academic fatigue in these two groups. Conclusion: Academic efficacy training is effective in reducing academic burnout in nursing students who participated in lectures with the block system.

Abstract

This study examines students’ levels of learning burnout during the COVID-19 pandemic. Learning burnout levels were also investigated about students’ gender, hometown, family member structure, and field of major. The study employs a random sampling survey method, with 1,098 students from a public higher vocational college in Shandong Province, China. The collected data was analyzed using SPSS 26. The results found that 71.5% of students are at a moderate burnout level, 27.0% are at a low level, and only 1.5% are at a high level, and there was no high level of learning burnout on a single item during the COVID-19 pandemic. The data showed that the levels of learning burnout of male students, students who live in town, non-only child students, and students majoring in science and engineering were higher than the other group of students. There was a statistically significant difference in the level of student learning burnout by gender, but not in the variables of hometown, family structure, or field of major. Although studies show that students’ learning burnout level is not affected by COVID-19, students generally have learning burnout. Therefore, three strategies were also put forward to reduce students' learning burnout from school.

Abstract

Learning burnout is an impact from work done in a manner Keep going continuously, causing fatigue physical and emotional. If boredom study no handled, got cause students no productive and inhibits potency student . So from that study this proposed method clustering for group level saturation study students. The clustering process in research this use Fuzzy C-Means and K-Means. According to the previous study, Fuzzy C-Means and K-Means can produce results in the best clusters. Destination of study this is to compare performance from method Fuzzy C-Means and K-Means. The dataset used in this study is the boredom of students. Testing was conducted with the use amount clusters 3,4,5. Test results system with method Fuzzy C-Means get score Meanwhile, the global silhouette coefficient is 0.278 for K-Means results testing get score The global silhouette coefficient is 0.287. Temporary for results Davies Bouldin Index, methods Fuzzy C-Means get score 0.224and the K-Means method get value 0.384 of value, the Fuzzy C-Means generates more clusters _ good from K-Means. However both of them have weak structure _ because some data has data distance between one more clusters far from distance between different data clusters, so that creates that data worth.
