Abstract

Abstract: The aim of the research is to identify decision support systems and their relationship to information technology, to re-engineer academic and administrative systems in Palestinian higher education institutions. The research was applied to four Palestinian universities (Al-Aqsa University, Islamic University, Al-Azhar University, and University of Palestine), and the academic research sample with an administrative position. The descriptive analytical approach was used and secondary data was obtained through a survey list consisting of (81) items that were distributed to the research community using stratified random sample according to the university. (250) survey lists were distributed and (216) were recovered with a recovery rate of (86.4%). The study found a set of results, the most important of which are: The existence of a positive statistically significant relationship between decision support systems and information technology used in the application of re-engineering of academic and administrative systems in Palestinian higher education institutions. The results showed that there are statistically significant differences between the average answers of the respondents attributed to "university, gender, job title". The results showed that there were no statistically significant differences between the respondents ’average answers due to (age group, academic degree, and number of years of service). The research reached a set of recommendations, the most important of which are: The importance of investing more in information technology in general and decision support systems in particular, to increase the efficiency of academic and administrative processes and provide better and comprehensive services. And that Palestinian higher education institutions must reconsider their organizational structures and re-engineer their operations in line with developments in the field of information technology. And the need for Palestinian higher education institutions to develop the information technology infrastructure in general, and decision support systems in particular.

Abstract

This research is aimed to conduct an empirital test on supply chain herding behavior of domestic investors in capital market in Indonesia by assuming that supply chain herding behavior is affected by the social effect of established investors and the informative effect of information regarding Earning Per Share (EPS) value. Motivation behind this research is a concern that many investors often make mistakes repeatedly in their investment decision, which later it forces them to suffer a great loss. This phenomenon is explained using Behavioral Finance Theory. The theory says that while making decision to invest, investors are affected more by irrational factor than rational factor. Research method was using 2x2 factorial experiment design that involved two factors and two indicators in each factor. The effect of two factors and also two indicators in each factor, either partially or simultaneously, on supply chain herding behavior in investment decision was tested. Data were collected by giving treatment to 100 investors. The collected data were processed for testing the hypothesis. Data analysis was done by determining mean difference value across the groups and examining the effect of independent variable on dependent variable.  Result of research shows that the social effect of the established investors who are skilled in investment analysis is more dominant and significant on investors’ decision to invest than the informative effect of information regarding EPS value. The implication of this result is that investors need to understand their psychological condition and strengthen their investment analysis skill. It is suggested that the next research should use biased psychology as variable or other indicator of accounting information that influences investment decision.

Abstract

The termination of a contract for non-performance does not preclude the application of the limitation of liability clause that was provided for in the contract. This clause therefore survives the retroactive annihilation of the contract following resolution. However, the scope of such a solution must be carefully considered. After the two rulings of the Cour de cassation (French Supreme Court) that ruled on the survival of limitation of liability clauses, the first of October 5, 2010, handed down specifically on the subject of a limitation of liability clause, and the second of May 3, 2012, which concerned all “contractual stipulations governing the conditions and consequences of its unilateral termination”, the Commercial Chamber of the Cour de cassation revived the plot by restoring, in a ruling of February 7, 2018, the full effectiveness of the limitation of liability clause in the event of termination of the contract for non-performance. There is no doubt that the letter of the new article 1230 of the Civil Code, resulting from the order of February 10, 2016, will have guided the spirit of the advisers. Henceforth - says the law- “the resolution does not affect either the clauses relating to the settlement of disputes, or those intended to take effect even in the event of resolution”. So in both the old and new contract law, limitation of liability clauses have a bright future ahead of them

Abstract

Abstract— This study aimed to explore the intermediary role of supply chain agility in the relationship between quality of information sharing and sustainability of the humanitarian supply chain. Questionnaire surveys were developed and administered to senior’s managers and assistant executives of the Jordanian Army and Red Crescent. The findings of the data analysis showed that the quality of information sharing positively impacts humanitarian supply chain sustainability. Furthermore, agility in supply chains partially mediates the relationship between quality of information sharing and supply chain sustainability. This study contributes to the existing body of literature on humanitarian aid supply chains by developing a comprehensive framework illustrating the role of inherent mechanisms of agility in the relationship between information-sharing quality and integrating sustainable development objectives, derived from recipients, relief seekers, and stakeholder requirements.

Abstract

Making a Geographical Information System for the Location of Public Fuel Filling Stations (SPBU) in Musirawas, Lubuklinggau, and North Musirawas based on Mobile Web, the community, still has difficulty in finding the location for gas stations, especially people outside the region who also do not know the mileage so that they have the potential to run out of fuel and the community also does not know the types of fuel available at the gas station so that you have the potential to get lost when looking for a gas station location. This research uses data collection methods, by observing and recording directly at the research site (observation), conducting a direct question and answer with the resource (interview) and documentation by reading existing books and literature. The results of the geographic information system design for the location of gas station stations (SPBU) in Musirawas, Lubuklinggau, and North Musirawas based on Web Mobile was made by using the PHP programming language and MySQL database and making program listings using the Adobe Dreamweaver application. The system created by this user can select the closest gas station menu directly by pressing the button where the nearest gas station is located so that the closest gas station location where you are will appear. Information on gas stations can also be known with information which is located according to the location of the gas stations chosen, and users can provide feedback in the form of comments or suggestions for improvements to the gas stations.
