Human, organizational and technological is an important component in the implementation information technology in the Library of Higher Education when viewed in side its benefits. In terms of human Information Technology includes the use of the system and user satisfaction while combining roles and skills. The use of the system also relates to the person using it, the expectations, the attitude of receiving the system, and the training. In terms of organization implementing information technology in the Library of Higher Education can be checked from the organizational structure and environment. The organizational structure can be seen from the management, communication and support received from the organization. In terms of technology, in the implementation of information technology in the Library of Higher Education that can be seen from the side of quality systems, quality information, and service quality. For example the quality of the system is ease of use, ease of learning, response time, and comfort access. Criteria that can be used for the quality of information is information accuracy, availability, usefulness, and easy to understand. The quality of service concerned with the overall support delivered by technology service providers, including empathy and certainty. Manusia, organisasi dan teknologi adalah komponen penting dalam pengimplentasian teknologi informasi di perputakaan Perguruan Tinggi bila dilihat dalam sisi manfaatnya. Dari segi manusia (human) Teknologi Informasi termasuk penggunaan sistem dan kepuasan pengguna saat menggabungkan peran dan keterampilan. Penggunaan sistem juga berhubungan dengan orang yang menggunakannya, harapan, sikap menerima sistem, dan pelatihan. Dari segi organisasi (organization) pengimplementasi teknologi informasi di Perpustakaan Perguruan Tinggi dapat diperiksa dari struktur organisasi dan lingkungan. Struktur organisasi bisa dilihat dari manajemen, komunikasi dan dukungan yang diterima dari organisasinya. Adapun dari segi teknologi (technology), dalam pengimplementasian teknologi informasi di Perpustakaan Perguruan Tinggi yaitu dapat dilihat dari sisi kualitas sistem, kualitas informasi, dan kualitas layanan. Misalnya kualitas sistem adalah kemudahan penggunaan, kemudahan dipelajari, waktu respon, dan kenyaman akses. Kriteria yang dapat digunakan untuk kualitas informasi adalah informasi keakuratan, ketersediaan, kegunaan, dan mudah dipahami. Adapun kualitas layanan yang bersangkutan dengan dukungan keseluruhan yang disampaikan oleh penyedia layanan teknologi, termasuk empati dan kepastian.

This article discusses about Optimization of information technology-based services in order to achieve excellent service at library of medan state university. To be able to perform excellent service in the library, then the first step that must be done is to examine the client / learn the client to be more familiar with the client must be an important activity that can not be abandoned by the library. Through continuous and regularly revised client needs, a clearer picture of the client will be made, allowing librarians and libraries to prepare and provide library services tailored to the client's needs. This means that the library services offered can be utilized optimally by the client.Keywords: services, search, information Technology

The aim of this research is to describe the development of technology information and communication towards the students reading interest at eleven grade in Teladan senior high school library, way jepara. The method used was descriptive analysis in which the design used eas quantitative design. Instrument used during the research was questionnaire whom 30 participants involved during the collecting the data. The participants were students from eleventh grade students of teladan senior high school, Way Jepara. It was found that there were strong effect between the information and technology development toward the students reading interest in library which means that the further the development of the technology information and communication the lower students reading interest in library.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk medeskripsikan perkembangan teknologi infomasi dan komunikasi terhadap minat baca peserta didik kelas XI di perpustakaan SMA Teladan Way Jepara. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 30 responden dan menggunakan sampling jenuh sehingga sampelnya adalah seluruh populasi yang merupakan peserta didik Kelas XI SMA Teladan Way Jepara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang kuat antara perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi terhadap minat baca peserta didik di Perpustakaan. Artinya disini terlihat bahwa Semakin majunya perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi maka minat baca peserta didik di perpustakaan semakin rendahKata kunci: minat baca, peserta didik, teknologi informasi dan komunikasi

Library at this time has grown more and more rapidly. The presence of information technology, eliminate the library would not have to change with the development of information technology itself. Librarians are the dominant factor in determining the success of a library required to have special competencies in order to synergize with the presence of information technology in the library. In this era of information technology, librarians can be the enlightening agent and the auxiliary act of building a better civilization. Thus, it is expected the library can continue to exist in the era of information technology.

Unit Layanan Perpustakaan Kecamatan Sungai Batang merupakan sebuah perpustakaan yang berlokasi di Jalan Poros Benteng Utara Kecamatan Sungai Batang. Perpustakaan ini memberikan pelayanan kepada para anggotanya dalam bentuk proses pendaftaran, peminjaman dan pengembalian buku. Selain itu dalam kegiatan perpustakaan juga membuat laporan-laporan yang dibutuhkan. Masalah yang ada di Unit Layanan Perpustakaan Kecamatan Sungai Batang adalah masih memberikan pelayanan yang manual atau sistem yang digunakan belum ditunjang sistem komputerisasi. Oleh karena itu tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk merancang suatu sistem informasi perpustakaan yang terkomputerisasi sehingga dapat mengatasi permasalahan yang ada pada perpustakaan, seperti proses pengolahan data anggota, buku, transaksi peminjaman dan pengembalian beserta pembuatan laporan. Perancangan sistem informasi perpustakaan ini juga menyediakan fitur pencarian buku yang bisa diakses melalui internet sehingga akan lebih memudahkan anggota dalam pencarian buku. Sistem juga didukung teknologi barcode untuk memudahkan pihak perpustakaan dalam proses peminjaman maupun pengembalian. Di dalam perancangan sistem informasi perpustakaan ini menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dan basisdata MySQL. Kata Kunci: Sistem Informasi Perpustakaan, Teknologi Barcode, Database MySQL, PHP.

Berdasarkan hasil wawancara UPT Perpustakaan kekurangan perangkat komputer dan masih menggunakan server milik UPT Telematika serta kecepatan akses wifi akan lambat jika banyak yang menggunakan sehingga perlu dilakukan penelitian ini yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kematangan dan menghasilkan rekomendasi guna meningkatkan pengelolaan infrastruktur teknologi informasi. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan COBIT Framework 4.1 tahap penelitian diawali dengan analisa data wawancara kemudian diidentifikasi IT goals, IT process, serta Control Objectives. Perhitungan maturity level untuk mengetahui gap antara kondisi sekarang dengan kondisi yang diharapkan dan rekomendasi digunakan untuk mengatasi gap tersebut. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan diperoleh 4 IT Goals, 10 IT Processes dan 17 detailed control objectives. Karena pemilihan subdomain disesuaikan dengan masalah dan kebutuhan maka subdomain yang digunakan adalah PO3, PO7, AI3 dan AI5. Ditemukan gap sebesar 1.5 dan maturity level sebesar 2.5 sehingga berada pada level 3 artinya perpustakaan telah memiliki mekanisme dan prosedur yang jelas mengenai tata cara dan manajemen teknologi informasi.

The purpose of science and technology activities for the Society (IbM) is to solve problems in the school library by providing understanding and management of libraries to library officer or teachers placed in the library to be able to manage the school library based on information technology in accordance with established standards. In this activity, it will solve the problem completely from conceptual understanding and conducting school library management practices based on information technology with the implementation of library automation system using Senayan Library Management System (SLiMS) and socialization of information literacy in the school library.The method offered to solve the problem of school library management based on information technology is the training is used lecturing method, question and answer, group discussion, and practice. Then this is followed by information socialization activities information technology-based information for all school members. Training activities accomplished properly according to the expected objectives of the program. This activity received a positive response from various parties and trainees can apply the use of SLiMS software in school library management. From the socialization activities for information literacy performed by involving all elements schools can increase their citizens’ understanding of various sources of information that can be utilized. So hopefully the school library can provide better service and the existence of school libraries will contribute significantly to the society.

This research aimed to find out the development of the Faculty of Education (FIP) Library in the State University of Jakarta ( UNJ) in terms of the role of the Faculty Library in supporting the learning activities at the Faculty of Education, efforts done to develop the Faculty Library, the application of information technology and the studentsâ€™ participation. To meet its purposes this research was conducted at the Faculty of Education (FIP) of the UNJ within 4 months with the samples covering 120 respondents selected from FIP students by random sampling technique. Research results showed that the FIP Library has not been managed properly. Although the Library facilities are quite complete, they are not well benefitted, the information technology is not much used to develop the Library and the studentsâ€™ participation is seemingly low. The research provides a number of suggestions to develop the FIPLibrary.

Dengan semakin berkembangnya kebutuhan pengguna, maka penerapan teknologi informasi yang sesuai dengan kebutuhannya menjadi penting untuk menjaga daya tarik dan eksistensi perpustakaan.
