Abstract

PENGEMBANGAN PENDIDIKAN BUDAYA DAN KARAKTER BANGSA MELALUI PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA INDONESIASince the implementation of Curriculum 2013, the discussion on the National Character and Culture Education Program, which was started from 2011, has been seen to be decline lately. However, a deeper look at the program’s fundamentals shows that it is indeed relevant with the newly curriculum since topics on national character and culture education are inherent parts of the subject of Indonesian Language, one of compulsory subjects taught at Indonesian schools. This article shows how phases in texts-based Indonesian Language teaching and learning, which comprises  of teacher modeling, group composition tasks, and individual composition tasks, are effective steps in teaching national culture and national character to learners.Keywords: National culture and character, Texts-based Bahasa Indonesia Learning and TeachingAbstrakSejak pelaksanaan Kurikulum 2013, Karakter Nasional dan Program Pendidikan Kebudayaan, yang dimulai dari 2011, telah terlihat penurunan pembahasannya akhir-akhir ini. Namun, jika dilihat lebih dalam pada fundamental program menunjukkan bahwa memang relevan dengan kurikulum baru karena topik pada pendidikan karakter nasional dan pendidikan budaya merupakan bagian yang melekat dari pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia, salah satu mata pelajaran wajib yang diajarkan di sekolah-sekolah Indonesia. Artikel ini menunjukkan bagaimana tahapan-tahapan dalam pembelajaran dan pengajaran berbasis teks-teks Bahasa Indonesia, yang terdiri dari pemodelan guru, tugas komposisi kelompok, dan tugas komposisi individu, adalah langkah-langkah yang efektif dalam mengajar kebudayaan nasional dan karakter nasional untuk peserta didik.Keywords: karakter dan budaya nasional, Bahasa Indonesia berbasis teks, belajar dan mengajar

Abstract

The purpose of science and technology activities for the Society (IbM) is to solve problems in the school library by providing understanding and management of libraries to library officer or teachers placed in the library to be able to manage the school library based on information technology in accordance with established standards. In this activity, it will solve the problem completely from conceptual understanding and conducting school library management practices based on information technology with the implementation of library automation system using Senayan Library Management System (SLiMS) and socialization of information literacy in the school library.The method offered to solve the problem of school library management based on information technology is the training is used lecturing method, question and answer, group discussion, and practice. Then this is followed by information socialization activities information technology-based information for all school members. Training activities accomplished properly according to the expected objectives of the program. This activity received a positive response from various parties and trainees can apply the use of SLiMS software in school library management. From the socialization activities for information literacy performed by involving all elements schools can increase their citizens’ understanding of various sources of information that can be utilized. So hopefully the school library can provide better service and the existence of school libraries will contribute significantly to the society.

Abstract

The purpose of community service activities is to improve the ability of educational staff in making official letters and managing school archives. The target of this activity is the education staff of SMA/SMK/SLB di Dinas Pendidikan Cabang Wilayah VII Provinsi Sumatera Barat. In this activity, problems will be completely solved related to the making of official letters and the management of school archives to realize school accountability. The approach used in implementing community service programs is Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) which emphasizes partner participation in all activities, from planning, implementation, and evaluation. The output target in the form of a process is an increase in the ability of the target audience in understanding the concept and process of making official letters and managing school archives. The results of the training and mentoring activities carried out are expected to create school archives that are systematically organized so that the school and the education office can access the archives easily and quickly.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai religius Islam dalam novel Layangan Putus karya Mommy ASF yaitu, mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai religius Islam yang muncul paling dominan dan nilai religius Islam yang paling kecil muncul. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Data penelitian ini berupa kata-kata, frasa, kalimat, dan wacana yang menampilkan peristiwa-peristiwa serta narasi yang mengindikasikan nilai-nilai religius Islam yang terdapat dalam novel Layangan Putus karya Mommy ASF. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah novel Layangan Putus karya Mommy ASF. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah peneliti sendiri. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini yaitu preneliti membaca dan memahami, mengidentifikasi, mengklasifikasi, menganalisis, menginterpretasi, dan menyimpulkan data yang berhubungan dengan nilai religius Islam dalam novel Layangan Putus karya Mommy ASF. Teknik penganalisisan data yaitu teknik analisis isi. Teknik pengabsahan data dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik triangulasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan nilai-nilai religius Islam dalam novel Layangan Putus karya Mommy ASF, adalah iman kepada Allah, iman kepada Malaikat, iman kepada kitab, iman kepada nabi dan rasul, iman kepada Hari Akhir, dan iman kepada qadha dan qadhar. Nilai religius Islam yang dominan ditemukan dalam novel Layangan Putus karya Mommy ASF adalah iman kepada Allah sebanyak 119 data dan nilai religius Islam yang paling kecil ditemukan dalam novel Layangan Putus karya Mommy ASF adalah iman kepada malaikat dengan temuan 2 data. Kemudian, hasil penelitian ini dapat diimplikasikan pada pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia, baik di dalam kelas maupun di luar kelas. Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the forms of speech acts of locution and illocution associated with the program This Talk Show on Net TV, as well as describing the function of speech. The data in the study are speeches delivered by the emcee as well as invited guests. The technique of collecting data in this study was using a competent, free listening method and the note taking technique. Based on the results of the analysis can conclude the following points. First, this study found 16 locus speech acts. Second, the illocutionary speech acts found in this study were arrested 27. Each of the illocutionary speech acts is assertive, directive, commissive, expressive, and declarative. Get as many as 12 speeches in the form of assertive illocution, 10 speeches in the form of directive illocution, 1 speech in the form of commissive illocution, 3 speeches in the form of expressive illocution, and 1 speech in the form of declarative illocution.Kata kunci: pragmatik, tindak tutur, lokusi, ilokusi

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study is to describe the effectiveness of sentences in the student news text in terms of five things. First, the effectiveness of sentences in terms of clarity of structure, there are 82 (16.56%) errors. The ineffectiveness of the sentence is in the active/ passive structure (14 errors), the subject is not an explanation (33 errors), the predicate is not lost (15 errors), the description is not in the form of the subject (10 errors), and the subject is not lost (10 errors). Second, the effectiveness of the sentence in terms of the logical meaning there are 58 (11.72%) errors. The ineffectiveness of the sentence lies in the logical relationship S and P (49 errors) and the logical relationship of details or parallel meaning (9 errors). Third, the effectiveness of sentences in terms of word savings there were 40 (8.08%) errors. The ineffectiveness of the sentence is on one subject from the same subject (27 errors) and one word from several synonymous words (13 errors). Fourth, the effectiveness of sentences in terms of word stiffness there are 34 (6.87%) errors. Fifth, the effectiveness of sentences in terms of spelling accuracy is 281 (56.77%). Ineffectiveness of the sentence lies in the use of capital letters (102 errors), prepositions (33 errors), punctuation (85 errors), and writing words (61 errors). Based on these results it can be concluded that the sentences in the explanatory text of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 16 Padang are not effective. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk tindak tutur direktif dan strategi bertutur dalam novel Layangan Putus karya Mommy ASF dan implikasinya dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di sekolah. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data dari penelitian ini adalah kata atau kalimat tindak tutur direktif pada percakapan tokoh dalam novel. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah novel yang berjudul Layangan Putus karya Mommy ASF. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut. Pertama, bentuk tindak tutur direktif yang ditemukan dalam novel Layangan Putus karya Mommy ASF sebanyak 156 data. Kedua, strategi bertutur yang ditemukan yaitu berterus terang tanpa basa-basi 71 tuturan, bertutur terus terang basa basi kesantunan positif 56 tuturan, bertutur terus terang basa basi kesantunan negatif 16 tuturan, bertutur samar-sama 2 tuturan, dan bertutur dalam hati 11 tuturan. Strategi bertutur yang paling dominan adalah bertutur terus terang tanpa basa-basi. Sedangkan strategi bertutur yang sedikit digunakan adalah bertutur secara samar-samar. Ketiga, penelitian ini dapat diimplikasikan dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia pada materi teks novel kelas VIII.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan penggunaan kalimat dari segi kejelasan struktur dalam teks eksposisi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negri 1 Pariaman, (2) mendeskripsikan penggunaan kalimat dari segi kelogisan makna dalam teks eksposisi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negri 1 Pariaman, (3) mendeskripsikam penggunaan kalimat dari segi kehematan kata dalam teks eksposisi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negri 1 Pariaman, (4) mendeskripsikan penggunaan kalimat dari segi kebakuan dalam teks eksposisi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negri 1 Pariaman. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah kalimat dalam teks eksposisi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Pariaman. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan kalimat dalam teks eksposisi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Pariaman tidak tepat. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dari 217 kalimat yang diteliti, terdapat 87 penggunaan kalimat tepat dan 130 penggunaan kalimat tidak tepat dengan 393 kesalahan.

Abstract

Teacher's teaching skill is the most important indicator in creating successful learning. These teaching skills need to be supported by learning tools so that the learning carried out can be carried out in accordance with the expected goals. These learning tools include the Learning Implementation Plan and Teaching Materials. The teacher before carrying out learning needs to prepare both of these things. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of planning skills and skills on developing teaching materials on teachers' teaching skills. This research uses quantitative research methods using causal associative research, namely research that seeks the influence of one variable (independent) with other variables (dependent). The sample selection technique uses purposive sampling. The number of samples obtained were 32 students. The data analysis method uses SPSS with the Multiple Regression analysis method. The results of the study indicate that planning skills and the ability to create instructional materials have a significant impact on teaching abilities. In addition, planning skills have a significant impact on teaching abilities, whereas developing instructional materials does not. Based on these conclusions, a teacher needs to have skills in planning learning according to the learning model chosen before carrying out learning in class. In addition, to support the learning process, teachers need to prepare teaching materials in the form of teaching materials.

Abstract

Politeness is an important aspect of speaking, especially in mass media. Radio, as an electronic media, conveys information to the public, one of which is advertising. In a radio advertisement, the aim is to be persuasive, so politeness is needed in delivering the broadcast. This article aims to describe the principles of language politeness contained in Radio Damai FM Pariaman advertising broadcasts. This research is qualitative research using descriptive methods. The data in this research are speech sentences in Radio Damai FM Pariaman advertising broadcasts. The data in this study was collected using proficient free-involved listening (SBLC) and note-taking techniques. Data analysis is carried out by transcribing data, identifying data, classifying data, interpreting data, and concluding the results of data analysis. The principles of language politeness contained in Radio Damai FM Pariaman advertising broadcasts are analyzed by classifying each utterance based on the form and function of language politeness and describing the condition of the speech. The results of the research revealed that there were 34 data on the principles of politeness used in Radio Damai FM Pariaman advertising broadcasts. This research has implications for Indonesian language learning in schools, especially advertising texts.
