Abstract

The development of information technology encourages educational institutions to adopt digital systems to improve service efficiency, including in library management. SMK Wiyata Satya Jakarta still uses a manual system for the process of borrowing and returning books, member data collection, searching collections, and preparing reports, which causes inefficiency and is prone to errors. The purpose of this study is to analyze and design a web-based library information system that can overcome these problems and improve service effectiveness. This study uses the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) waterfall model, through the stages of planning, analysis, design, implementation, and testing. The resulting system has features such as member data management, book catalogs, automatic borrowing and returning processes, fine calculations, and structured report generation. The implementation results show that the system is able to speed up the service process and minimize recording errors. The conclusion of this study is that the web-based library information system can improve operational efficiency, data accuracy, and service quality at the SMK Wiyata Satya Jakarta library.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun sistem informasi perpustakaan berbasis web di MA Teladan Medan. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan pengembangan sistem dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dan observasi. Perancangan sistem menggunakan Unified Modeling Language (UML) yang meliputi use case diagram, class diagram, sequence diagram, dan activity diagram. Sistem dibangun menggunakan framework CodeIgniter dengan bahasa pemrograman PHP dan database MySQL. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem informasi perpustakaan berbasis web dapat mengatasi permasalahan pencatatan manual yang tidak efektif, mempercepat proses pencarian data buku, dan mengorganisasi kategori buku dengan lebih baik. Sistem ini memfasilitasi pengelolaan data buku, data anggota, transaksi peminjaman dan pengembalian, serta pembuatan laporan secara terkomputerisasi. Implementasi sistem memberikan efisiensi operasional, kemudahan akses informasi, dan peningkatan kualitas layanan perpustakaan sekolah.

Abstract

The school library functions as a learning resource center that supports the educational process and enhances students' literacy. However, in many schools, including SMP Negeri 7 Kota Sorong, library management is still conducted manually, resulting in slow services and difficulties in data recording. This study aims to design a web-based library information system to address these issues. The research method used is the Research and Development (R&D) method, which includes stages of needs analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The results of the design show that the developed system is capable of managing book data, members, borrowing transactions, and activity reports efficiently. This system is expected to assist library staff in managing data and improving services for students.

Abstract

Perpustakaan merupakan sumber informasi sekaligus sebagai sarana belajar yang menyenangkan. Proses pengelolaan perpustakaan di SMK Negeri 1 Bukittinggi masih dilakukan secara manual yaitu dengan menggunakan buku catatan tertulis, proses manual ini membutukan waktu yang lama sehingga menyulitkan pustakawan dalam mengelola data perpustakaan. Untuk itu dibutuhkannya sistem informasi perpustakaan yang dapat mempercepat serta mempermudah kinerja pustakawan dalam pengelolaan perpustakaan.Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) dengan model waterfall yang meliputi lima tahapan yaitu perencanaan sistem, analisis sistem, perancanagan sistem, implementasi sistem, dan pemeliharaan sistem. Dalam penelitian ini pengujian yang digunakan adalah pengujian Alpha dan pengujian Beta. Sistem informasi perpustakaan berbasis web di SMK Negeri 1 Bukittinggi dirancang dengan menggunakan framework laravel dengan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dan database MYSQL.Berdasarkan hasil pengujian alpha (whitebox testing dan blackbox testing) dan pengujian beta. Pengujian alpha, dapat diketahui bahwa sistem berfungsi dengan baik dan memenuhi syarat fungsional. Sementara itu, dalam pengujian beta hasil pengujian yang diperoleh dari tenaga ahli rata-rata 90,47% dan hasil yang diperoleh dari pengguna rata-rata 92,79%. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian tersebut sistem informasi perpustakaan yang dikembangkan dapat mempermudah kinerja pustakawan dalam pengelolaan perpustakaan.

Abstract

Manual library data management is still commonly found in educational institutions and often causes problems such as data recording errors, data duplication, and inefficiency in book borrowing and returning transactions. A Web-Based Library Information System was developed to manage library data in a computerized and centralized manner. This study aims to test the functionality of the system using the Blackbox Testing method. The testing techniques applied are Equivalence Partitioning (EP) and Boundary Value Analysis (BVA). The scope of testing includes login modules, book data management, member data management, and borrowing and returning transactions. The testing process refers to the ISO/IEC/IEEE 29119 standard. The test results indicate that most system functions operate according to the specified requirements, making the system feasible to be implemented as a web-based library management solution.

Abstract

The implementation of information technology in school libraries aims to enhance the efficiency of member data management and book circulation. However, vulnerabilities in system logic often lead to fatal inventory data inaccuracies. This study aims to validate the functionality of a web-based library application by applying the Black Box Testing method. The testing stages are structured according to the ISO/IEC 29119 international standard, covering planning, design, and test execution. Test case design techniques utilize Equivalence Partitioning and Boundary Value Analysis to test input validation limits and business logic. Testing was conducted on 27 test cases covering authentication modules, master data management (students and books), and loan transactions. The results showed that out of a total of 27 test cases, 21 cases were declared successful (Pass) and 6 cases failed (Fail). Bug findings included critical categories where the system allowed borrowing on zero stock causing negative values, return date logic errors, and the absence of validation on student data input forms. In conclusion, while the basic features of the application are operational, significant improvements in back-end validation and stock algorithm logic are required before the system is released to the production environment to ensure data integrity.

Abstract

SMA Attaqwa 02 Babelan is a high school with its address in Babelan District, Bekasi Regency. In ongoing library activities, it is still carried out in a conventional way, which is still taking notes in books and members come directly to the library to find out information about books. Where this activity is considered to still have problems, including limited library operating hours so that students have to go to the library physically to borrow books. The book stock is limited and the current system is not informative, so that when you come to the library to borrow the book you need, the book has not been returned by the previous borrower. The purpose of this study is to analyze the system that is currently running, in order to overcome the problems faced at Attaqwa 02 Babelan High School, by designing a Library Information System Design at Attaqwa 02 Babelan High School Based on Websites. The research framework that will be carried out in solving the problems discussed is identifying, conducting information searches based on theoretical foundations, collecting data using observation and interview methods, analyzing to find solutions to the problems faced by SMA Attaqwa 02 Babelan.

Abstract

Abstrak - Perkembangan teknologi informasi yang semakin pesat mendorong berbagai lembaga, termasuk institusi pendidikan, untuk berinovasi dalam meningkatkan efisiensi dan kualitas layanan. Salah satu aspek penting dalam lingkungan sekolah yang memerlukan inovasi adalah pengelolaan perpustakaan. Di SMK Angkasa Kota Tasikmalaya, pengelolaan perpustakaan masih dilakukan secara manual, yang sering menimbulkan berbagai kendala seperti kesalahan dalam pencatatan data, lambatnya proses peminjaman dan pengembalian buku, serta terbatasnya akses terhadap informasi koleksi perpustakaan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mengimplementasikan sistem informasi perpustakaan digital berbasis website sebagai solusi atas permasalahan tersebut. Sistem ini dibangun menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dan database MySQL, serta dikembangkan dengan pendekatan model Waterfall. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan bahwa sistem yang dirancang mampu mengotomatisasi layanan perpustakaan, mulai dari proses peminjaman dan pengembalian buku hingga pencarian data koleksi, sehingga meningkatkan kecepatan dan akurasi layanan. Selain itu, sistem ini memberikan kemudahan akses bagi siswa dan guru, yang dapat mengakses informasi perpustakaan secara online kapan saja dan di mana saja. Dengan diterapkannya sistem ini, diharapkan pengelolaan perpustakaan menjadi lebih modern, efisien, dan mampu mendukung proses pembelajaran digital secara optimal.Kata kunci : Sistem Informasi; Perpustakaan Digital; Website; Waterfall; SMK Angkasa Tasikmalaya; Abstract - The rapid development of information technology has encouraged various institutions, including educational organizations, to innovate in order to improve efficiency and service quality. One of the essential aspects in a school environment that requires innovation is library management. At SMK Angkasa Kota Tasikmalaya, library management is still carried out manually, which often leads to various problems such as errors in data recording, slow borrowing and returning processes, and limited access to information on library collections. Therefore, this research was conducted with the aim of developing and implementing a web-based digital library information system as a solution to these issues. The system was built using the PHP programming language and MySQL database, and developed using the Waterfall model approach. The implementation results show that the designed system is capable of automating library services, ranging from the borrowing and returning process to collection data searching, thereby improving service speed and accuracy. In addition, the system provides easier access for students and teachers, who can access library information online anytime and anywhere. Abstract

Perpustakaan sekolah memiliki peran penting dalam mendukung kegiatan akademik dengan menyediakan sumber belajar bagi siswa dan guru. Namun, sistem perpustakaan konvensional masih menghadapi kendala seperti pencatatan manual yang rentan terhadap kesalahan, keterbatasan akses informasi, serta proses peminjaman dan pengembalian yang tidak efisien. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan sistem informasi perpustakaan berbasis website guna meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas pengelolaan perpustakaan di SMA Negeri 13 Maros. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengembangan perangkat lunak model Waterfall yang terdiri dari tahap analisis, perancangan, implementasi, pengujian, dan pemeliharaan. Sistem ini dikembangkan menggunakan teknologi berbasis web dengan PHP dan MySQL. Fitur utama meliputi manajemen data buku, peminjaman dan pengembalian berbasis digital, pencarian buku online, serta laporan otomatis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem ini mampu mengoptimalkan pengelolaan perpustakaan. Berdasarkan uji coba, kesalahan pencatatan peminjaman dan pengembalian berkurang hingga 85%, sementara proses pencarian buku menjadi 70% lebih cepat dibandingkan sistem manual. Selain itu, sistem ini mendapatkan respons positif dari pengguna, dengan tingkat kepuasan mencapai 92%. Dengan demikian, penerapan sistem informasi perpustakaan berbasis website dapat menjadi solusi efektif dalam meningkatkan layanan perpustakaan di sekolah dan mendukung digitalisasi manajemen perpustakaan.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology has driven significant changes in the management of school libraries, particularly in SMK that require efficient access to learning resources. This study addresses the limitations of manual library management at SMK Kartika 1–2 Padang, which resulted in data redundancy, slow information retrieval, and suboptimal reporting processes. The purpose of this research is to design and implement a web-based library information system that can systematically improve the quality and performance of library services. The study employed a system development research approach using the Waterfall model, encompassing requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and testing phases. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and literature review. The results demonstrate that the developed system successfully integrates the management of book collections, member records, borrowing and returning transactions, and automated reporting within a single platform. The implementation of the system significantly enhances service efficiency by reducing processing time, minimizing data duplication, improving accuracy in transaction recording, and enabling faster access to library information for users. The main contribution of this research lies in providing a practical and applicable model of a web-based library information system that effectively improves operational efficiency and service quality in vocational school libraries.
