Jurnal ini diterbitkan oleh Pusat Penelitian Teologi Kontekstual, Fakultas Teologi Universitas Sanata Dharma. Jurnal terbit 2 kali dalam setahun (April dan Oktober).

Abstract

Managerial issues are rencently emerging as a new topic of pastoral discusions. The main question is: if there is possibility to combine some or many managerial principles and pastoral services in Catholic Church. The background of the question is a new understanding about being and becoming a Chruch in the modern world. The management sciences on leaderships and its strategic planning critically asked to the Catholic leaders: “how do the pastoral activities be arranged? How do the financial resources for pastoral purposes be managed? How do the pastoral human resources be planned? Etc. Questioning them the managerial sciences are opening a new perspective in the Church regarding to the role of management and its posibility to serve pastoral activities in the Church. But the Church, in the same time, is completely aware of her identity as firstly a spiritual body. She is a living community of Christians by faith. She is, however, a visible community as a sosial body which is able to be understood as an organizational entity. With her hyrarchical and leadershipsystems, her Cannon Law and its implementations, and her pastoral activities, the Church, no doubtly, is doing a series of managerial actions. This article puts in light the close relationship between the managerial principles and pastoral practices of Church.

Abstract

The story of Judith seems less convenient for Scripture readers today. Judith, an ordinary Israeli widow, uses her beauty to establish herself in the camp of the Assyrian army. She deceives and lies to them. She then puts the commander of the Assyrian army into her deadly trap and kills him in his total unconsciousness. Should we call those heroic deeds? Does Judith deserve to be called a heroine? Moreover, despite the fact that Judith’s courage is praised, there are some verses in the book of Judith which are oppressive to women, including to Judith herself. These verses emphasize the negative attitudes held by the Israelite society toward women.

Abstract

Bagaimana komunitas kristiani yang lahir dari peristiwa kebangkitan Kristus, dari masa ke masa tetap setia pada pengalaman dasarnya itu? Bagaimana dijelaskan dinamika internalnya sebagai pendengar Sabda Allah dan sekaligus sebuah komunitas historis yang mengalami perubahan? Komunitas kristiani dari masa ke masa mewartakan kabar gembira Yesus Kristus yang menyelamatkan dan berkembang dengan aneka macam tradisi yang sebagian lebih menekankan ciri kelembagaannya, kharisma para pemimpinnya atau pun kepatuhan kepada Roh Kudus atau Sabda Allah saja. Tulisan ini ingin mengulas pengalaman dasar dan dinamika komunitas para murid Yesus ini terutama sebagai pendengar Sabda, serta sarana-sarana organisatoris bagi pelestariannya seperti ajaran dan perayaan iman serta kuasa mengajar.

Abstract

Ecumenism as a movement always pursue movement that always include as many as possible people in this world. To make that real, the thought of Meister Eckhart and Ibn Al-‘Arabi can be a great inspiration. In this paper i argue that Eckhart and ‘Arabi’s thought about Cosmic Spirituality can contribute to Participative Ecumenism especially in Asia with all the context in it. Their concept with stresses in relation of all Creation in this world can make something in the struggle of Asian People. The relation of all Creation can make support the Ecumenism with a great care of Poverty and real engagement in Interreligious Dialogue.

Abstract

A man is created as image of God (Imago Dei) so he has beauty as attribute of God. For his sin and weakness, beauty is polluted, he is fell into vulnerable and superficial. He is far from his dignity especially from image of God. The way to make his beauty come back is a repentance. A man keeps repenting in process in order to be united with God, the source of beauty. Repentance is not easy because a man sometime is trapped into artificial beauty and satisfied in appearance. The way to come back on an eternal beauty is difficult. A man just does not give a beauty of God but he needs to find a way to be united with God so he goes forward to  An eternal beauty.

Abstract
