Abstract

The development of human's life cannot be separated from one's learning experience. Education is a process of learning human values as one experience from the beginning of one's life. A value is uniquely human because it has to do directly with human cognitive ability that enable them to discern and decide priority along with its different qualities of its objects. One of the important values that determines the quality of human dignity is moral value. Therefore, introduction to the moral values needs to be done from the early age. For children, the process of the introduction needs to be adapted to their cognitive development as well as its learning environment and its means. In this way, moral values will be efectively internalized.

Abstract

Dialog antar agama sekarang nampaknya bukan hanya merupakan pembahasan di arena akademik melainkan juga menjadi diskusi populer di beberapa tempat. Dialog menjadi diskusi hangat di kafe, perkumpulan orang di berbagai tempat, dan khotbah-khotbah di tempat ibadah (termasuk mesjid) Salah teks Alkitab yang dapat digunakan sebagai landasan dialog antara Kristen dan Muslim adalah Yesaya 56: 1-8. Dalam teks tersebut termuat tema keselamatan. Keselamatan tidak dibatasi oleh agama, sehingga semua orang dapat mendapat keselamatan. Semua ciptaan Tuhan dapat menjadi lokus kehadiran Tuhan. Tuhan telah bermanifestasi dalam berbagai bentuk kepada beraneka ragam manusia. Tuhan juga telah menyelamatkan manusia melalui tradisi mereka masing-masing. Penyelamatan Tuhan yang bersifat universal berada di mana-mana dan secara aktif berkarya melalui berbagai cara. Di dalam setiap budaya atau tradisi terdapat Sinar Cahaya Tuhan. Setiap manusia adalah unik, sehingga ungkapan dalam menanggapi “Sabda Ilahi” juga unik dan sekaligus beragam. Tuhan dapat disembah dan dijumpai dalam berbagai cara.

Abstract

Is theology in crisis of identity amid this modem world? In order to be able to answer such a question, we need to focus on and emphasize the role and contribution of Christian theology for the life of human being. Christian theology should be able to help people to understand basic human values in the light of correlation between God and human being. Such theology should be close to the people as well as contextual. For these purposes, theology needs to consider seriously its medium which are human languages and cultures. This modern and secularized age, unfortunately, also puts human languages and cultures in a crisis of meaning: a change from metaphysical and mystical expressions to a pragmatic and materialistic one. It does mean, positively, that Christian theology should be presented and communicated in a creative way and methodologically sound. This is a real challenge for a Christian theology in the modern world.

Abstract

Both transference and countertransference essentially are natural projection of feelings and expections from an individual to another one which occurs spontaneously and unconsciously. The feelings that are unconsciously projected in transference and countertransference are very real, come from the center of ones being and are based upon past experience with other people or events. Transference and counter transference not only occurs in counseling, but in all of our relationship. However, if transference and countertransference occurs in the counseling relationship, both of them will affect the effectiveness of counseling process. Regarding transference or countertransference, reactions of counselor in counseling process to his/her counselee may not be related to the actual intervention. When counseling, it is important to be aware of some dangers inherent in transference or countertransference. The key is for the professional counselor to acknowledge the existence and significance of transference for the conselee and countertransference for the counselor.

Abstract

Psychology has been gaining a good reputation in science and society. Ithas contributed positively to the human life and progress. But as a growingscience, psychology has both external and internal problems. One of them isreflected in the dispute on the quantitative and qualitative paradigm used byits scientists. What psychology should do and which attitudes its scientistsshould have? It is important that its scientist starts by acknowledging his orher identity. Then, the next important thing is to rethink about the natureof psychology itself. How does psychology come into existence? How hasit been growing? What is its uniqueness? Psychologists themselves have toconsider seriously the scientific nature of their knowledge as well as theirscientific attitudes. Philosophy of science will help to clarify and explain thedisputed problem.
