Abstract

The problem in this research is the many obstacles that occur in the effort to maintain independence in Indonesia in 1945-1950. The purpose of this study is to analyze and describe the role of Sutan Sjahrir in Efforts to Maintain Indonesian Independence in the field of Politics. The research method uses historical research methods. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that Sjahrir is a combination of sharpness of knowledge and depth of mind. He is able to live in the tension between global and local. When Japan colonized Indonesia, Sjahrir had predicted that the Japanese would not last long in Indonesia. After two months of the Indonesian people gaining independence, Sjahrir felt that independence was only for the interests of the state, nation and also for political interests. The politics that Sjahrir wanted to implement was aimed more at prioritizing human freedom and the interests of society rather than national independence. Even though the Indonesian state has achieved independence, there are still things that are far more important, namely peace, prosperity, and progress for the people. Sutan Sjahrir is not just fighting for Indonesia's independence to be free from colonialism from other nations, but how to gain independence for small communities individually.

Abstract

Problems in this research The role of Siti Walidah in the field of education and social to promote education and improve the dignity of women. The method used in this research is the historical method by conducting literature study. Data collection techniques in this study using heuristic steps and literature study. In testing the truth of a data or validity of data collection used internal and external critic, while for data analysis method is by interpretation and historiography. The results of this study are:The role of Siti Walidah in the field of education in an effort to realize and advance education) including those who succeed in their business in the field of education is not only a theory, but actively proven to educate indigenous women of the 20th century and promote the religious education of women in the educational process. Done by Siti Walidah is held dormitory daughter-daughter from various regions in Indonesia, Siti Walidah actively assist the smooth implementation of the girls schools and then educate the women through the course and conduct pengajian of Islam and participate in the eradication of illiteracy. The role of Siti Walidah in the social field is to play an active role in the development and empowerment of the potential of women and increase the dignity of women. Siti Walidah builds and develops the potentials of women so that they are active in the development of activities as well as in the orphanage builder named Putri Aisyiyah and help the poor, orphans to make an activity within the community.

Abstract

 The purpose of this study was to find out the history of the life of the Transpolri Jaya Guna II community in 1987-1999, to find out the life of the Transpolri Jaya Guna II community in the economic field in 1987-1999, to find out the life of the Transpolri Jaya Guna II community in the socio-cultural field in 1987. -1999. This research approach is qualitative research. Qualitative research is research that describes an event or phenomenon that exists in the social sphere. The presence of researchers as a means of collecting data and analyzing it. The data in this study were collected by interview and observation methods. Data analysis in this study used descriptive data analysis, namely data reduction, data presentation, and reporting of results. The Conclusion of this study indicate that the background of the Jayaguna II Transpolri is the success of the Jayaguna I Transpolri in distributing the welfare of members of the Police. The motive of Transpolri Jayaguna II is to improve the welfare of citizens, where residents of Transpolri Jayaguna II are retirees from the National Police. Because the pension funds provided could not meet their needs, the residents were transmigrated to the Lampung area by being given agricultural land. The social life of Transpolri Jayaguna II residents in 1987-1999 was well established. Along with its development, the population of Transpolri Jayaguna II increased until it reached 1690 families. The cultural conditions in Transpolri Jayaguna II are that the existing culture of the community consists of various tribes, the main livelihoods of which are farming, raising livestock and retirees. Residents of Transpolri Jayaguna II also have various religions, such as Islam, Catholicism, and Hinduism.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the level of awareness, understanding and examine the factors that influence the level of awareness and understanding of students towards the heroism of Radin Inten II. The method used is a qualitative research method, namely a research method based on the philosophy of postpositivism, used to examine the condition of natural objects, by meeting face to face and interacting with people at the research site. The instruments used to collect data were a test of understanding the history of heroism by Radin Inten II and a historical awareness attitude questionnaire. Based on the results of the research, the level of historical awareness of class Xl students of SMA Negeri 1 Kotagajah is in the very good category with the average percentage shown for all indicators of 87 percent. While the level of student understanding of the heroism of Radin Inten II is said to be good, this is based on as many as 58 percent of 40 respondents successfully exceeding the KKM that has been determined by the school, namely 75. Factors that affect the level of understanding and awareness of the history of heroism of Radin Inten II are optimizing the learning process in class. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the understanding and awareness of class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Kotagajah towards the heroism of Radin Inten II is very good.

Abstract

The problem in this research is that education during the Japanese occupation experienced various challenges for the people of Indonesia. The aims of this study are: 1) To analyze and describe education in Indonesia during the Dutch colonial period 1900-1942; 2) To analyze and describe education in Indonesia during the Japanese occupation period 1942-1945; 3) To analyze and describe the driving and inhibiting factors of education in Indonesia during the Japanese occupation period 1942-1945. The research method uses historical methods, namely heuristics, literature study, source criticism, interpretation and historiography. Based on the results of the study, the education that was applied during the Dutch colonial period was given differently and was limited based on race/ethnic social position. Entering the era of Japanese occupation in Indonesia, the Dutch Colonial education system was then changed to semi-military education by applying physical training to students, military and strict indoctrination. Nevertheless, the Indonesian people get many opportunities in the field of education. Education organized by the Japanese military government in Indonesia has developed, through the simplification of the system, all levels of indigenous people are given the right to be able to access it, until Indonesian is used as the language of instruction. However, behind the development there are obstacles in it starting from the lack of educators, the lack of textbooks, the decreasing number of students attending school and the number of schools also decreasing very drastically. Education carried out during the colonial era did not pay attention to education in the context of humanity, but only to maintain one-sided power, political and economic interests.
