Abstract

There is no novelty in the interpretation or the interrelation of Q.S. al-Rūm/30:33-42, since the time of the Salaf to the Commentators today. Their interpretation seems to be repeated. Therefore, this paper seeks to discuss the interpretation of Q.S. al-Rūm/30:33-42, using the interrelation (munāsabah) approach, which in essence, has implications for the explanation of the Qur’anic sociopreneurship conception. This paper can be classified as library research with a qualitative descriptive approach. The interpretations of previous commentators still guide this paper as to the basis for interpreting the Qur’anic sociopreneurship conception. Thus it can be said that this paper is a continuation of the previous interpretations of Q.S. al- Rūm/30:33-42. This paper will describe interrelation Q.S. al-Rūm/30:33-42, which are divided into two parts. First, the interrelation between Q.S. al-Rūm/30:39 with Q.S. al-Rūm/30:38 and Q.S. al-Rūm/30:40. Second, the interrelation between Q.S. al-Rūm/30:39 with Q.S. al-Rūm/30:33-37 and Q.S. al-Rūm/30:41-42.

Abstract

Stephen Hawking’s theory “M” posits that the universe was formed without the assistance of God. This paper elaborates the qur’anic position on Hawking’s idea by analyzing the qur’anic scientific interpretation of universe creation. Therefore, the literature review was utilized to collect as much data as feasible, which was then evaluated using the descriptive-analytical method. The findings of this study indicate that Stephen Hawking’s “M” hypothesis has three faults, which constitute a scientific critique of the interpretation of Qur’anic texts relating to the earth and sky. The three faults are: 1) Earth and sky were not created without God’s intervention, as Hawking claimed, but by the will and strength of Allah. This finding is stated in the interpretation of Surah Al-Anbiya’ verse 30, Al-Fushshilat verse 10, and Al-A’raf verse 54. 2) Hawking’s concept of creation is inappropriate since it is based on the rationalism of liberal thought. The natural creation process described in the Qur’an, scientifically proved by science, differs from Hawking’s claim. 3) Hawking’s idea of a mechanism for creating the heavens and the earth is not suitable with the scientific facts regarding them stated in the Qur’an’s scientific interpretation

Abstract

Semantic Analysis of the word "Thayyibah" in the Qur'anSemantic analysis is a classical approach to comprehending the meaning of Qur'anic text utilized by Islamic scholars (ulama) in the form of tafsir since Islam's rise centuries ago. This semantic analysis can be utilized to analyze the ethical-religious terms in the Qur'an, which is the word thayyibah. This research aims to reveal the semantical meaning of the word thayyibah in the Qur'an. This research employs the content analysis method and uses a semantic analysis approach related to the study of weltanschauunglehre. This research begins by defining the meaning of semantics and then analyzing the semantical meanings of the word thayyibah with its derivatives. Furthermore, explaining the definitions in several Qur'anic verses. The explanation is based on the elaboration of the Qur'an interpreters (mufassirs). They revealed its subtle meanings and semantical correlations. The result shows that the word thayyibah in the Qur'an has Islamic religious meaning. Usage of the term kalimah thayyibah, interpreted as the word of Unity (Tawhid), gains a central position in the reality of human life. This concept spawns an ethical-religious worldview that perceives religion as the basis for perceiving every human life phenomenon. At the level of individual life, thayyibah means living a good life. In the marital domain, thayyibah means choosing a suitable life partner and giving birth to good offspring. From the social aspect, thayyibah is in the form of good social dealings. Moreover, at the national level, thayyibah creates a safe and secure national state. The word thayyibah undergoes semantical changes within its semantic field, from its original meaning that connotes something good in worldly affairs to something that is much broader, including tauhid and here-after meanings. The Qur'an has reformed the word conceptual structure, its semantic field, vocabulary, and its basic vocabulary. That preceded projects a jahili weltanschauung to the Islamic weltanschauung

Abstract

As the initial gateway for the entry of Islam to the archipelago, Aceh stores much historical information on the spread and development of Islamic teachings. One of the interesting things to study is the development of the field of the Qur'anic exegesis which has experienced rapid development throughout the history of the spread of Islamic teachings in Aceh. By doing a literature study and descriptive analysis method. The result is that the development of the Qur'anic exegesis in Aceh is divided into three periodizations. First, the classical period in which the teaching of the Qur'an did not stand alone but was inserted between the teaching of fiqh and Sufism and delivered ijmali (global) by preachers from Arabia and India. Second, the middle period in which educated Acehnese began to study in Mecca and Medina so that they were proficient in religious knowledge so that the Malay the Qur'anic exegesis of Tarjumān al-Mustafīd by Abdurrauf al-Sinkily was born. Third, the modern period where at this time the works of commentary in Aceh began to develop rapidly, including Al-Qur'ānul Majīd An-Nūr written by Muhammad Hasbi ash-Shiddieqy, Al-Qur'ānul Karīm and Free Translation of Rhymes by Tengku Mahyiddin Yusuf, Tafsir Gayo by Abdurrahman Daudy, and Tafsir Pasee by TH Thalhas, Hasan Basri, Zaki Fuad, A.
