Abstract

Prinsip pokok dalam konsep negara kesejahteraan relatif sederhana. Pertama, bahwa semua anggota masyarakat, karena Faria manusia, berhak atas standar minimum kehidupan. Kedua, Negara kesejahteraan berkomitmen pada kebijakan stabilitas dan kemajuan ekonomi. Ketiga, Negara kesejahteraan berkewajiban untuk mengadakan lapangan pekerjaan sebagai prioritas dalam kebijakan ekonomi mereka. Dalam dimensi pengelolaan sektor pertanian, kehidupan para petani ibarat berada di ujung tanduk. Jika mereka berhenti sebagai petani dan mencari pekerjaan lain yang tentu tidak mudah diperoleh, kehidupan keluarganya pasti terancam. Jika meneruskan pekerjaan sebagai petani, hasilnya tidak menguntungkan. Di sini pertanian jelas mempunyai peran yang sangat penting dalam menjawab semua tantangan melalui bermacam-macam inisiatif dari berbagai pihak.

Abstract

In a presidential system of government and opposition relations are not always mutually adversarial, unlike the relationship of government and opposition in countries that adopt a parliamentary system, in a presidential system of government and opposition relations can be negosiable. the mechanism of checks and balances, the opposition parties are able to negotiate, compromise, for the things that are important to the interests of the people. In such a reality, it is not easy to opposition political parties to encourage the process of institutionalization of the opposition in parliament, because the role of the opposition in parliament are not real. Increasing public appreciation theoretically form the capital for the further institutionalization of the opposition, as well as capital for PDIP to win the election. It seems to winning elections is not the case. The decline is one of them triggered by the actions of political elites who run transactional PDIP, which is very disappointing the public.

Abstract

This article examines phenomena of Islamic radicalism in Solo based on the social facts in the city. The assessment is important in tracing the origins of Islamic radicalism in Solo recently. By bibliographical study of Islamic movement and field study in the region, this study describes and analyzes the formats of Islamic radicalism in Solo and its impacts in political situation in Indonesia. This comprehension on the emergence of this radicalism, according to the writer, could bring to the solving of the problems and the prevention of surfacing Islamic radicalism in the future.

Abstract

This article reexamines John Rawls’s thought in formatting social order based on political liberalism. The discussion is significant in tracing the origins of thought on justice in the modern Western socio-ethical system. By bibliographical study of Rawls’s works this study describes and analyzes the formats of Rawls’s thought which places individuals as his fundamental reference of political thought. This article contextualizes Rawls’s thought with what being happened in contemporary Indonesian cases.

Abstract

This article explores social fenomena using mass media among students of UIN Sunan Gunung Djati, Bandung. The Aim of using mass media is to reduce the gap of information between theory and social phenomena. The study finds that the users of mass media among the studentsare divided into four clusters:the reader (using printing media), the watcher (using electronic media), the observer (using less all media), and the anti-observer (not using all media),the finding of which describing that many students focused more on observerclusters.

Abstract

Al-Qur`an as main source of thought in Islam, viewed, has the fundamental norm-ethic and principles of society and individual life needed in the modern democratic state. The State as peak institutional model of human comunity interaction is accumulation of knowledge conscience, ethic value, social and politic behaviour that held in society life as the subjective and objective dimension of state. That can be realizied if civil rights garanted and protected totally as same as everyone can build the human material-spiritual capasities in the diversity paths. Argued, Islam which based to syariah and nubuwwah dimension -- that recited and actuated in contemporary model of syura as high value of islamic democratic and humanity – propose a secular state system based to Islamic fundamental norm.

Abstract

This article describes how the career movements of managers and professionals within organizations may be described by a Markov chain model. Markov chain may be used to examine the movement of personnel within the organization. After briefly reviewing and illustrating Markov chain, specific applications to human resource planning are suggested. Finally, this article identifies potential limitation of Markov chain model on their appropriateness and usefulness in human resource planning
