Abstract

The problem in class X SMK Negeri 5 Malang is the lack of student synergy when learning takes place, also the results of learning knowledge have not experienced a significant increase. The Numbered Head Together (NHT) type of learning model has not been able to increase student enthusiasm and grades. The use of other learning model variations is useful for overcoming problems that occur. The purpose of this research is to find out the different effects on the application of Student Teams Achievement Division learning models compared to NHT. The method uses Quasi Experiment method or quasi-experimental using the None-Equivalent Control Group research design. The instrument used is in the form of written test questions. The results of normality test data found abnormal data, the researchers used nonparameteric statistical tests. Hypothesis testing using the Man Whitney and Wilcoxon test method as an alternative t test was performed using SPSS software. The results give the conclusion that both models have a role in increasing learning outcomes. Using the STAD model produces a higher average learning outcomes with a value of 86.56 than the Numbered Head Together learning model has an average of 77.88. Because the two models have differences, the difference seen in STAD applies a point and reward that is useful to provide stimulus and motivation to students.

Abstract

The more sophisticated technology makes all electronic devices can be made through joysticks, remote controls, and so on. This is a challenge for stroke sufferers because it limits them to move the member must make it able to rotate the device. Then the menu selection system needs to be made on the display that is able to make a sound to facilitate sufferers in communicating. Stroke sufferers have limitations to move members but can still move the two balls. This research was made to overcome their limitations by using the K-Nearest Neighbor classification method to classify the value of features resulting from ball motion detection using digital image processing with the face landmark method to convert eye areas and using the LBP method to extract features in the eye area. This system produces an accuracy of 100% and in dim lighting produces an accuracy of 60%, 20%, 100%, and 100% for moving the eyeball forward, right, left, and up. 100% accuracy results. The results of computational time are 399.7 ms, 398.4 ms, 398.4 ms, 396.8 ms for moving the eyeball forward, right, left, and up.

Abstract

Bakso President Malang is a restaurant that has been established since 1977. The number of competitors in the same industry makes Bakso President Malang highly appreciate the opinions of customers regarding the products and services they provide to increase customer satisfaction. However, Bakso President Malang does not have customer opinion data, nor does the application of technology in processing and analyzing data that can produce information about customer perspectives on customer satisfaction aspects. One way to get the perspective of customers of Bakso President Malang on aspects of customer satisfaction is through sentiment analysis conducted at the aspect level. The method used for sentiment analysis is classification using the Naive Bayes algorithm. This study uses 2,152 customer review data from 2012 to 2019. Customer review data is obtained through Web Scraping techniques on the TripAdvisor and Google Review sites. Sentiment analysis in each aspect produces an accuracy value of 88% in the Food aspect, 76% in the Service aspect, and 84% in the Atmosphere aspect. The results of the sentiment analysis classification are visualized in the form of a dashboard that is accompanied by a filter based on time, aspects, and sentiments.

Abstract

YouTube is the world's largest online video social media that is used to display various videos created by users and companies in the field of media content. Every video contained in YouTube can be done by giving a text type comment in the comments column of the video that has been watched. The large number of comments causes the content creator (video maker) to spend enough time to understand every emotion in the existing comment. After consideration of the solution used to resolve the problem, the authors chose to use the Modified K-Nearest Neighbor (MKNN) classification method with BM25 and Chi-Square feature selection. The test used is 5-fold cross validation to find the best k value which is then used for testing the Chi-Square feature selection. In Chi-Square test the data used is the best fold data based on the highest f-measure value in the 5-fold cross validation test. The results obtained are the maximum accuracy, precision, recall, f-measure values ​​achieved when k is 30, 72,82%, 72,94%, 72,26%, and 72,59%. While the Chi-Square test on the 4th fold of data the best number of terms used is 40% and 50%, with the value of accuracy, precision, recall, f-measure is 80,56%, 80,37%, 81,61 % and 80,98%.

Abstract

The meeting is part of an important activity of the civitas employee in the Faculty of Computer Science, Brawijaya University to negotiate or resolve a problem that concerns the common interest, or development of the Faculty. The thing that must be ready in meeting activities is to make the meeting agenda and make minutes of the meeting. Making minutes of the results of this meeting is important, to help the accreditation process or re-accreditation of study programs. But in the implementation found several problems. The first problem is that the flow of meeting event making is still done conventionally when notifying the meeting agenda by sending SMS to prospective meeting participants. If there are prospective meeting participants who are unable to attend, the meeting participants do not know the contents of the meeting because the meeting material is not accepted by meeting participants who are unable to attend. The absence of a meeting remainder automatically leads to a meeting making prospective meeting participants sometimes forget about meetings. The second problem, namely when making minutes of the meeting is still carried out by each meeting participant. So that many minutes of meetings are not archived and lost. This makes it difficult for the Quality Assurance Unit (UJM) to find minutes of meetings to meet the needs of accreditation or re-accreditation of study programs. The third problem is that during the implementation of the meeting it still involves volunteers from the meeting participants to document the meeting activities with photos or videos, but often the photos or videos are not archived because of forgetfulness. The development of this software is web based using the waterfall method. This system provides a meeting event remainder feature that uses the Google Calendar API. This system uses the Logitech C525 webcam. Unit testing is performed using the white-box testing method 3 times. Validation testing using the black-box testing method 52 times resulted in 100% valid. Usability testing using the System Usability Scale method produces a score of 76.6 which is categorized as acceptable, so that the system meets user needs.

Abstract

Kepuasan pengguna dalam menggunakan sebuah situs dapat dilihat dari usability atau kemudahan situs dalam digunakan. Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan mahasiswa seperti layanan mengunduh materi yang telah disampaikan di kelas oleh dosen, mengerjakan kuis, serta mengumpulkan tugas, Universitas Brawijaya mengembangkan Website Virtual Learning Management atau VLM UB. Namun, terdapat permasalahan dalam situs VLM Universitas Brawijaya yang dapat memengaruhi kepuasan pengguna terhadap situs. Permasalahan yang terjadi seperti desain situs yang tidak responsive apabila diakses pada perangkat bergerak. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan evaluasi usability guna menemukan permasalahan dan membuat perbaikan sehingga dapat memenuhi kebutuhan dan kepuasan pengguna. Tujuan dilakukannya evaluasi ini adalah untuk mengetahui permasalaan usability, memberikan rekomendasi perbaikan yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasi permasalahan usability, serta mengetahui perbandingan hasil evaluasi sebelum dan setelah dilakukan rekomendasi perbaikan menggunakan metode Heuristic Evaluation untuk menemukan permasalahan-permasalahan usability. Pengujian ini dilakukan oleh 3 evaluator yang merupakan seorang expert yang berpegang pada 13 prinsip heuristik yang telah disediakan. Selain itu, juga dilakukan penggalian masalah dan penilaian kuantitatif dari mahasiswa sebagai pengguna situs menggunakan kuesioner System Usability Scale(SUS). Hasil dari heuristic evaluation ditemukan 13 permasalahan dan juga rekomendasi yang menjadi bahan perbaikan. Perbaikan yang dilakukan didasarkan pada rekomendasi expert dan guidelines. Hasil dari pengujian setelah perbaikan, temuan masalah menurun dari 13 menjadi 5 temuan masalah serta naiknya skor SUS dari 44,17 menjadi 71. Temuan dari heuristic evaluation dan skor SUS menunjukkan adanya perbaikan dari situs setelah dilakukan evaluasi.

Abstract

Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) is one of rail based public transportation that operates in DKI Jakarta. This transportation is expected to be able to reduce traffic congestion because of private car and motorcycle usage. Improvement on service quality is one of the way to attract people to use public transportation. Service quality improvement can be done by extracting positive and negative feedbacks from users using sentiment analysis. Methods used in this research are Modified K-Nearest Neighbor (MKNN) for classification and Information Gain for feature selection. Comment data will be carried out in the stages of pre-processing, vectorize, feature selection, term weighting using TF-IDF, and classification process. Based on evaluation result, we obtained accuracy value of 0,86769 and f-measure value of 0,86265 with k=3 and threshold-25% as parameter.

Abstract

Indah Bordir is a fashion retail store that now has its own official website to expand in the world of e-commerce. But the optimization of the ecommerce website is still needed in order to expand the market reach and make it easier for consumers who are outside East Java to get products from Indah Bordir, they can order without having to visit the store. However, data from a web analysis using SEMrush.com also shows that Indah Bordir website traffic has decreased in 2019 by 77.8%. This identified a problem with the website. A solution is needed to overcome website usability issues. The study was conducted to produce an interface design that is in accordance with the rules of usability using the human centered design (HCD) approach, and also usability testing as a tool to identify existing problems related to usability levels and finally bring new needs. With so company flexibility and the number of website users is expected to increase so as to generate profits for the company. HCD is an approach to problem solving, the HCD approach is commonly used for design as well as a framework for solving problems using the full human perspective to produce solutions. This research resulted in a web site interface design solution that has been improved by using guidelines and initial evaluation results which are then re-evaluated using usability testing with different respondents, so we get a significant increase in each usability metric and user satisfaction. Based on this the Indah Bordir website design solutions are in accordance with the usability rules.

Abstract

Naoyuki Academic Center is a Japanese language learning institution. Every week, Naoyuki conducts a learning agenda in accordance with the curriculum that has been prepared according to current needs. Until now, the preparation of the schedule in Naoyuki is done by using Excel and takes up to 3 days in arranging the schedule of tutors and students. Through the scheduling problem at Naoyuki, the learning scheduling management system will then be developed. This system was developed using the Object Based Approach from the Analysis to the Implementation stage. The system is implemented using the PHP programming language and the MVC concept while using the Boostrap and Laravel framework. The test results of the system using White-Box and Black-Box show that all functionalities are in accordance with the requirements specified. The test results show 100% for all White-Box test cases. And shows 100% valid for Black-Box testing of 24 functional systems. For compatibility testing all system functionality can run in some browsers but there are still problems with the appearance and performance of the system.

Abstract

Every institution such as the education system in Indonesia, even for offices certainly requires a system that can record the entire community of it's members. But in today's modern era, where technology has advanced rapidly it turns out that in some institutions in Indonesia still rely on the old presence system that is manually, such as using paper and initialing. This research makes it possible to reduce fraud by utilizing digital imagery that is face recognition in order to make a presence so that it becomes more practical, efficient, fast and certainly safe and does not happen to the detriment of any institution. In this study, a student presence system was developed based on face recognition using Local Binary Pattern and K-Nearest Neighbor method. By using the Logitech C270 webcam and the Alcatroz Stealth 5 mouse as an input producer, the Intel NUC5i7RYH Mini PC as the main processor, and 7-inch Waveshare monitor as output. Webcams produce images of students sitting in class and then processed by a Mini PC for the detection and facial recognition of each student. Obtained the names of facial recognition results that can enter the attendance list if the user (lecturer or researcher) presses the presence confirmation button on the application using the mouse. The average system accuracy of all experiments in face detection using Haar Cascade Classifier is 88.88%, in face recognition using Local Binary Pattern and K-Nearest Neighbor for k = 3 value is 78.125%, for k = 5 value is 74.375%, and for the value of k = 7 which is 68.125% so that the highest accuracy can be achieved using the value k = 3. The average computational time of all experiments in face detection is 26.2 ms while for face recognition is 371.675 ms.
