Abstract

Fullerton Markets Indonesia (FMINDO) sebuah perusahaan yang menunjang sebuah informasi dan analisis finansial yang membantu pengguna di Indonesia dalam membaca navigasi pasar dunia. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, pada bulan Oktober 2018 terjadi pemblokiran domain asli dari Fullerton Markets di Indonesia dan para pengunjung maupun pelanggan tidak bisa mengakses domain tersebut sehingga terjadi penurunan konversi di Indonesia. Dari sumber data Google Analytics, hasil menunjukkan bahwa terjadi penurunan pengguna sebanyak 40,47% dari keseluruhan pengguna dalam jangka 3 bulan sebelum domain diblokir. Dari permasalahan tersebut website FMINDO perlu untuk dilakukan perbaikan terhadap antarmuka pengguna nya. Metode yang digunakan adalah Human Centered Design (HCD) untuk mengevaluasi serta memperbaiki tampilan antarmuka pengguna website FMINDO berdasarkan pengguna maupun stakeholder. Tahapan pada HCD yaitu melakukan analisis konteks serta kebutuhan pengguna, menggunakan metode wawancara dan pengambilan data aktivitas pengguna. Hasil dari analisis ini adalah evaluasi awal desain dengan 6 responden yang diambil berdasarkan diskusi steering committee. Hasil perancangan dan desain solusi adalah kerangka dan purwarupa. Evaluasi desain solusi menggunakan pengujian usability yang dilihat dari 3 aspek yaitu aspek efisiensi, efektivitas, dan aspek satisfaction. Pengujian skenario tugas digunakan untuk melakukan evaluasi pada aspek efisiensi dan efektivitas. Sedangkan aspek kepuasan pengguna dilakukan dengan menggunakan System Usability Scale questionnaire. Hasil evaluasi desain solusi dengan aspek efisiensi mendapatkan waktu rata-rata sebesar 4,49 detik, sedangkan dengan aspek efektivitas persentase didapat sebesar 100% serta aspek kepuasan pengguna diperoleh dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 72. Hasil evaluasi membuktikan bahwa penerapan metode HCD dengan website finansial seperti FMINDO berhasil memenuhi nilai usability dari 3 aspek yaitu aspek efisiensi, efektivitas, dan kepuasan pengguna.

Abstract

Persepsi mahasiswa dari pengalaman yang mereka rasakan selama mengikuti proses pembelajaran daring selama lockdown pandemi Covid-19 tentunya penting, dalam upaya perbaikan proses pembelajaran jarak jauh. Pembelajaran jarak jauh dapat dikategorikan sebagai persoalan system informasi karena melibatkan teknologi, lingkungan, organisasi, serta individu. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan penggalian secara mendalam terkait pengalaman mahasiswa, untuk mengetahui permasalahan dan apa yang dirasakan mahasiswa, baik terhadap proses maupun teknologi dalam pembelajaran jarak jauh. Partisipan wawancara semi struktur melibatkan 10 mahasiswa Jurusan Teknologi Informasi Politeknik Negeri Malang. Jumlah responden dalam penelitian ini ditentukan dengan saturasi data. Proses wawancara semi struktur direkam secara langsung dengan menggunakan aplikasi video conference Google Meet yang telah mendapatkan izin dari seluruh responden. Setiap sesi wawancara membutuhkan waktu 45 – 60 menit untuk setiap responden. Dari hasil pengumpulan data melalui pendekatan wawancara semi struktur yang telah dianalisis dengan metode analisis tematik coding menggunakan bantuan aplikasi Atlast.ti didapatkan tujuh tema utama yaitu: (Infrastruktur (insfrastruktur TI dan budaya pembelajaran), individual feature, interaction, teaching process, akses proses pembelajaran, assessment, content) dan 24 sub tema yang dapat mendeskripsikan pengalaman mahasiswa terhadap sistem pembelajaran daring selama pandemi Covid-19. Saran diberikan berdasarkan hasil temuan tersebut.

Abstract

Teknologi informasi membuka akses terhadap perkembangan ekonomi digital, salah satunya bisnis transportasi online. Terdapat dua layanan transportasi online terbesar di Indonesia, yaitu Gojek dan Grab. Dalam persaingan produk digital, pengalaman pengguna (user experience) adalah salah satu aspek yang penting. Penelitian ini membandingkan perubahan pengalaman pengguna terhadap dua aplikasi: Gojek dan Grab. UX Curve merupakan metode penelitian yang digunakan untuk menangkap pengalaman pengguna dalam jangka panjang berdasarkan ingatan responden. Terdapat 10 responden dengan rentang umur 17-39 tahun yang dilibatkan dalam penelitian. Masingmasing responden diminta menggambarkan lima kurva untuk masing-masing dimensi UX Curve: general UX, aesthetic, ease-of-use, utility, dan reliable untuk masing-masing aplikasi. Hasil analisis perbandingan menunjukkan bahwa pengguna Gojek dan Grab sama-sama merasakan peningkatan pengalaman pengguna sejak pertama kali menggunakan aplikasi. Pada awal penggunaan Grab dipersepsikan lebih positif daripada Gojek. Namun kemudian pengalaman penggunaan Gojek mengalami peningkatan sedangkan Grab mengalami penurunan. Walaupun pada akhirnya, pengalaman pengguna kedua aplikasi cenderung meningkat. Seluruh responden melaporkan pengalaman positif juga negatif yang mengakibatkan peningkatan atau penurunan grafik pada kurva. Alasan perubahan yang paling banyak disampaikan oleh responden terkait aspek usability dan utility.

Abstract

Seiring dengan meningkatnya penggunaan internet di masyarakat, pemasaran melalui internet menjadi peluang bisnis yang menjanjikan bagi pelaku bisnis produk lokal. Hal ini juga berlaku bagi Batik Tenun Vi, yang mengalami kesulitan dalam menggapai pasar yang lebih luas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang antarmuka pengguna website Batik Tenun Vi dengan pendekatan Human-Centered Design, agar website yang nantinya akan dikembangkan tidak hanya dapat memenuhi kebutuhan organisasi, tetapi juga dapat memenuhi kebutuhan pengguna. Luaran akhir dari penelitian ini adalah high-fidelity prototype yang merupakan rancangan yang paling mendekati tampilan antarmuka pengguna yang sebenarnya. Untuk memastikan bahwa rancangan solusi desain yang dihasilkan dapat memenuhi kebutuhan pengguna dan memberikan user experience yang baik, dilakukanlah evaluasi dengan Usability Testing dan Single Ease Question (SEQ), serta User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ). Hasil evaluasi ini menunjukkan bahwa rancangan relatif mudah untuk digunakan, dengan hanya sedikit perbaikan saja. Sedangkan untuk user experience-nya, rancangan termasuk dalam kategori “Excellence” pada skala Daya Tarik, Efisiensi, Ketepatan, Stimulasi, dan Kebaruan dari UEQ, dan hanya satu skala saja yang termasuk kategori “Good”, yaitu pada skala Kejelasan.

Abstract

In many situations, ophthalmologists prescribe glasses and contact lenses as a treatment method for Myopia. The other way to cure myopia is by performing Lasik surgery or using advanced tools which takes a large amount of financial effort. Dr. William Horatio Bates proposed a promising method to cure myopia with an eye exercise approach, providing opportunities to enhance the availability of low-cost eye treatment that is not easily achievable with surgery and other expensive approaches. However, many myopia patients are still unaware of this method and have no idea how to use it in their daily lives. The rapid growth of virtual reality (VR) technology has shown that this technology offers an affordable and effective solution to provide better health services. This paper expands the result of an initial experiment aimed to validate the utilization of mobile VR technology to enhance the possibility of the Bates method implementation as a low-cost daily eye exercise tool. A direct diary study with 14 participants was carried out to explicitly investigate the feasibility of the proposed app. The result reveals that the proposed app could assist people with myopia when doing eye exercises and the result is quite promising in reducing the refractive levels with 0.13 diopter on average within 5 weeks period.

Abstract

Head Movement Control System (HEMOCS) is a method which utilizes head movements to control objects that exist in a system. In medical treatment cases, Health Communication Board (HCB) acts as a solution that is commonly used by doctors to patients in helping them deliver their desired information. But the solution is apparently not applicable in patients who are experiencing hand physical limitations. Therefore, we propose the development of a similar system with HCB implemented on an iOS mobile device platform which are controlled using the user's head movement. The system will combine the use of mobile devices that implement augmented reality (AR) technology with a Head-Mounted Display (HMD). Head movement types that are recognized by the system including left, right, up, and down head movements. These movements used as a control for user to interact with the system. The results of usability testing has been conducted on five respondents indicated that this application has an average percentage of user satisfaction index of 74.8%, which shows that the use of application provide a satisfactory result for the user.

Abstract

Traveling is an activity that can be done for spending holiday. However, the tour guide is still limit so that Guide Me! was made. Guide Me! is a system web-based that can help traveler who visited East Java for searching tour guide. This research focus on how developing user interface Guide Me! with involving user. A Method that can be involve user through the development is Human-Centered Design (HCD). HCD is a method for developing interactive system that focusing on making system that can be used and useful. This research will discuss about developing user interface Guide Me! from context of use, user requirement, making design solution and evaluating design solution. The result from this research showed that user interface design after applied HCD had better usability than before applied HCD. For effectivity aspect, the result was 96% for traveler and 96% for tour guide. For efficiency aspect, average time result was decreased than average time result in first design. Then, for user satisfaction, the result was better because it has fifteen statements good and only one statement bad for traveler and thirteen statements good and three statements bad for tour guide.

Abstract

The common treatment for the myopia is by using the glasses, the other ways to cure this problem is doing lasiik surgery, but it takes large amount of financial so only people who have good financial can do this solution. The bates method which have found by Dr. William Horatio Bates 100 years ago was easy and can be used by everyone to cure myopia. The bates method has implemented to an application which using virtual reality technology, this implementation have a purpose to train eyebrow muscle eye easily and independently. The using of gyroscope sensor in smartphone and google vr sdk support eyebrow muscle eye training on bates method. The simulation in this training using the green pointer which move based on training technique. The user using this application in period 30 days and 5-10 minutes training duration each day. The measurement of myopia scale done on the first day and 5 times in period 30 days with interval 6 day using in-app features. The result of effectiveness testing for 12 respondent show the avarage decrease of myopia scale is 0.22D. This result come near with the result of Hildeth's research in 1947 that show result 0.25D. This successfull testing show that virtual reality implementation is effective with bates method.

Abstract

Botanical gardens is an institution that keeps documentation about living plants collection Purwodadi Botanical Gardens located on Surabaya Malang Km. 65 Highway, Purwodadi Village, Purwodadi District, Pasuruan Regency. Purwodadi Botanical Garden has an area of ​​85 hectares. Purwodadi Botanical Garden has plants collection of 2.002 species, 178 family, 962 genus and 11.669 specimens. With abundance of plants, an application is required that can lead the way from user's location to intended plant's location. In developing the application, it takes a method/algorithm to perform calculations to get the closest distance. The algorithm used in this study is dijkstra algorithm. The dijkstra algorithm is chosen because it has faster running time than the Bellman-Ford algorithm. To design the required applications, functional requirements identification stage is performed based on visitors' needs. As for non-functional requirements, it is about usability and compatibility. Implementation was created based on the design that has been made before. Web server was built using PHP language, while the android app uses Java language with tools Android Studio. The test was performed in black-box to test the functionality of the application and every results showed valid. While white-box testing was performed to test the dijkstra algorithm. In addition, usability testing was performed and showed satisfactory results with a percentage of 70.916% by 30 respondents.

Abstract

IFL Malang is an organization which moves on the field social education and accomodate the community in Malang to synergize together to positive change for Malang who has a website with bogger domain.The main purpose of the website is to facilitate readers to get to know more about IFL Malang. IFL Malang was intended to develop an new interface due to several reasons. The first reason is there are still shortcomings in user interface of the website, such as huge amount of information accumulation, less tidy layout, visualization of the image still minimalist and lack of a clear navigation on the website. The second reason is the limited blogger facility for the addition of Donation menu that will be developed in the future. Affordance-based design can offer designs with a theoretical foundation that sees the design components thoroughly and considers functions and users well together and shows not only shows the desired affordances but also unwanted affordances. The results of design improvements with the Affordance-based design method resulted in a new design that not only looked at the positive side but also the negative side of an affordance and strongly reflects the user. Affordances has a good influence on usability testing that is the aspect of effectiveness by generating a percentage of effectiveness 98.14% of the maximum value 100 %, There is no significant processing time so that it can be judged both on the aspect of efficiency and excellent value on all items of user satisfaction.
