Abstract

PT. XYZ is a telecommunications operator company in Indonesia that provides prepaid GSM (global system for cellular communication) services. PT. XYZ support to serve the whole city until remote areas of Indonesia are no exception Malang Regency by continuing to increase the number and increase the number of customers when providing the services provided. Companies that provide different services based on the characteristics or each customer in the form that provides services and build loyal and long-lasting relationships. The data used in this study is the transaction data of PT. XYZ customers in Malang Regency operational area with a period of time January 1 2019 - March 31 2019 that made 35,868 transactions. Customer segmentation is a strategy to divide customers into different, different, and homogeneous subgroups according to their characteristics. The main purpose of customer segmentation is to determine the customer base and gain customer insights that will enable the design and development of different marketing strategies. Customer characteristics can be seen through customer transaction data modeling using RFM (recency, frequency, and monetary) models, namely the time span of the last transaction (recency), number of transactions (frequency), and money spent (monetary). Fuzzy C-Means Clustering can be an option in solving customer segmentation problems. The Elbow method is used to support the clustering process by determining the number of clusters in the application of Fuzzy C-Means Clustering. Modification of Partition Coefficients (MPC) and Euclidean Distance (EU) is a validation method used to obtain the accuracy of cluster results using data to the nearest central point. In this study clustering with 2 clusters is the best result. The results of customer segmentation are visualized into a dashboard page consisting of a combination of integrated tables, diagrams and graphs and information needed by the company. The results of dashboard visualization are sponsored by users to obtain the level of user acceptance of using the System Usage Scale (SUS) analysis. Dashboard test results show an average value of 80 which is included in the acceptable category.

Abstract

Lingua Institute is one of institutions in Malang which is provide a service in education services to the people in Malang. Lingua Institute was created on purpose of helping people develop language skills, linguistic knowledge and literature in English and Arabic and assist them in translating various documents into English and Arabic. However, in its operations, Lingua Institute still experiences problems when running some of business proses. Based on the results of the initial interviews conducted with the director of Lingua Institute, it was found there was obstacles in several business processes, some of them is unclear tasks and responsibilities for employee as well business process flow in the process of registering new students, because the registration service is not only carried out by the money manager or admin, but also carried out by other employees in the Lingua Institute, such as tutors. Based on the problems, we need an information system that can manage data in order to help better business processes. In this study the development waterfall method will be used in the development of information systems. The development of informantion systems will be assisted by the PHP programming language and Laravel as a framework. Testing in this research uses the System Usability Scale and Validation Testing. The System Usability Scale test results get a value of 80 which means the system can be accepted by the user.

Abstract

Cashless payments are now starting to become a trend that is widely used in various places to make transactions. Cashless payments provide various advantages of cash payments, practical and convenient, time efficiency, no need to count change, easy recording of transactions, and many other advantages of non-cash cash payers. This study aims to develop methods of android-based non-cash payment systems using QR Code in the FILKOM UB canteen. QR Code is data information that has been made into two-dimensional images that can display data in the form of text developed by Denso Wave. QR Code can display information with its users. The Waterfall method is used in system development, which is implemented on the Android platform. The system was developed through several stages that discussed problems, literature study, needs analysis, and system design with the Unified Modeling Language, the implementation of the results of preparations made to Android using the Android SDK, React-native framework, real Firebase database. System testing is done using validation testing with the black box testing method and compatibility testing. The results of this test, obtained a validity level of 100% for 9 functional requirements and applications can be run on different versions of Android.

Abstract

This research discusses the development of a web-based machine preventive maintenance management system and takes a case study in PT Valeo AC Indonesia, which is a manufacturer of wiper blades for cars. In the industrial world, the importance of the level of machine performance requires companies to implement a machine maintenance policy. The policy adopted by PT Valeo AC Indonesia is preventive maintenance. Unfortunately, there are some problems found starting from the implementation of policies that are still carried out using a paper system, the schedule is not fixed, there is no warning system, and the problem of spare parts supply. These problems can be solved by building a web-based preventive machine maintenance management system. The system has various functions such as task management, schedule management, asset management, and user management. Its implementation utilizes the Laravel framework. After completion, the system is tested and the result is 100% valid and can run on all web browsers without any problems.

Abstract

Brawijaya University Included in the 10 Best Universities in Indonesia, these achievements can not be separated from the implementation of a good service program. One of them is the implementation of information technology services managed by UB's UPT-TIK. The application of IT risk management that has not been optimal in the organization is one of the objectives of this study, namely assessing the application of IT risk management in UPT-TIK Universitas Brawijaya. This assessment and measurement uses the COBIT 5 framework with APO12 and EDM03 domains. This study also analyzes gaps and identifies risks that exist in organizations. The results of this study the UPT-TIK must complete policy documents and standards and implement risk management activities properly. The achievement of organizational risk management capability is at level 0 in the EDM03 and APO12 domains because the results are inseparable due to limited research access. This organizational capability level gap is 1 level each at level 1 in the EDM03 and APO12 domains.

Abstract

Rocks Cluster is a linux distribution that is devoted to building a High Performance Cluster Computing by connecting several personal computers which are then called nodes. Cluster performance is measured by looking at the system's ability to process floating point numbers by using the LINPACK benchmark library and the OpenBLAS arithmetic library. In this study also used SLURM (Simple Linux Utility for Resource Management) to run an interactive job on the cluster by adjusting the resource requirements of the cluster to run the task. From the benchmark test results obtained a value of 15.0323 GigaFlops within 692.35 seconds or about 11.5 minutes on testing with 25000 matrix. For the results of interactive jobs testing using SLURM, the system shows efficient performance for the use of system resources for workload, cpu, memory and network ussage.

Abstract

Education 4.0 developed as a response to industry 4.0 is a learning process where students can carry out teaching and learning activities with the internet as the main pillar of its application. To respond to this, Information Systems Department from Brawijaya University needs new learning media for its students. The purpose of this study is to design the user experience of a mobile-based online learning application using Human-Centered Design approach. The stages begin with analyzing the context of use, analyzing user requirements, designing design solutions, evaluating the design, and design the improvement of the design solution. The evaluation was conducted with five respondents using TUXEL which consists of three dimensions, namely usability checking, pedagogical inspection, and user experience evaluation. Before completing the questionnaires, it is necessary to do a task definition and checklist matching according to the category on TUXEL. In the evaluation, it is found 23 usability inspection problems, 15 problems in pedagogical inspection, and the user experience evaluation indicate the codes: (1) Confusing; (2) Complicated; (3) Comfortable; (4) Supportive; (5) Efficient; (6) Practical; (7) Innovative; (8) Creative. It can be concluded that the application has a positive value in terms of user experience.

Abstract

The design of Academic and Financial Information System at Tunas Bangsa Kindegarten serves to facilitate guardians in obtaining academic and non-academic information. It also makes it easy for kindergartens to be able to process academic data, record cash flow, and provide information. This design uses the SDLC - Waterfall method with 3 phases, requirements analysis, design, and evaluation. At the requirements analysis phase, the results are business processes, feature identification, actor identification, user requirements, system requirements, and use cases. At the design phase, the results are Activity Diagram, Class Analysis, Sequence Diagram, Class Diagram, Logical Data Model, Physical Data Model, and interface design. In the evaluation phase using the Traceability Matrix, it can be concluded that all user requirements are well-defined and that there are no undefined user requirements. In the evaluation using SUS get 81 results which means the system can be accepted by the user by usability. The suggestion for TK Tunas Bangsa is to continue this research to the development stage. Then when the system is finished, it is better to do maintenance every few times so that the system have no problems.

Abstract

Lecturers' performance evaluation is a process where an institution carry out lecturers' performance evaluation using a certain criteria. Information Systems Department has utilized technology to support lecturer's performance evaluation. At the end of every semester lecturers would receive a report of lecturers' performance evaluation that can be downloaded from FILKOMAPPS. With various aspects to consider in a performance evaluation, user needs visualizations using dashboard to make data and information easier to understand. Based on said issue, a user experience dashboard design is made for Sistem Informasi Evaluasi Kinerja Dosen (SILUED) using the Human Centered Design Approach. With this design it is expected that management could monitor and evaluate lecturers' performance easily and also to make it easier for lecturers to access their performance result. In the usage context analysis stage, user identification, user characteristics, user's goal, system environment identification and persona are found. In the user requirement stage a summary of user interview is made into user requirements and content requirements. After usage context analysis and user requirement, the next step is designing the solution. From the result of the design solution there is 100% effectivity with 0.12 second for a user to finish one goal. The efficiency rate is 100% with SUS score of 78,75 where it can be categorized as acceptable with rating in ‘good' category.

Abstract

Vehicle rental businesses have sprung up and making the competition fiercer, business owners are required to innovate, for example by using technology in completing their operational activities. CV. Dwi Cipta Rent Car is a business that operates in the field of vehicle rental services, specifically cars. On the CV. Dwi Cipta Rent Car customer who want to make a rental sometimes must first come to the rental shop to make an order, then come back to pick up the booked car according to the specified time when making the order, and sometimes the vehicle that the customer wants to order is already up. In addition, customer transactions are still done manually by recording customer ordering vehicle data in the rental journal. Based on the existing problems, in this study an application was made regarding rental car reservation. This application was developed utilizing API (Application Programming Interface) technology, namely REST API. The application developed by the waterfall software development method, on the web and mobile platforms. The testing is done with validation testing and compatibility testing. Validation testing results using the black-box testing method got valid results for all the functional needs that have been tested. While for the compatibility testing, the result is the system can run on various browsers for the web, and various different API levels for mobile application.
