Abstract

This classroom action research aims to improve the creativity and learning outcomes of mathematics class XII SMK N 1 Gedangsari academic year 2017/2018 using Flipped Classroom learning model. From the research result, the average creativity of the students before the action is 61.45% and then in the first cycle increased to 63.39% and in the second cycle increased to 72.42%. In the achievement of KKM value in pre cycle to cycle 1 increased by 12.90% from 48.39 % to 61.29% and in cycle 1 to cycle 2 increased by 19.35% from 61.29% to 80.65%.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve the motivation and achievement of learning mathematics students of class X SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta with 3N model. The subjects of the study were students of class X TITL at the school. The object of research is the whole process on the application of mathematics learning with 3N learning model in the mathematics lessons in that class. Data collection using questionnaires and test questionnaires to determine the changes that occurred before and after the application of the learning model. Data analysis techniques use descriptive techniques average and percentage. The average percentage of student's motivation in the first cycle of 69.06% increased to 78.90% in cycle 2. While the average achievement of students in cycle 1 of 81.39 with a complete percentage of 66.67% increased to 84, 02 with a percentage of 83.33% completeness in cycle 2. Thus it can be concluded that 3N learning model can improve the motivation and achievement of learning mathematics students of class X SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta academic year 2017/2018.

Abstract

The purpose of the research are to find out the percentage of concept error, prosedur error, computation error, and the most dominant error in resolving the problem description of cube discussion subject VII A grade students MTs Negeri Ngablak The object of this research is student’s mistake in resolving the problem description of the set discussion subject. The type of this research is qualitative descriptive research. Data collection technique uses test technique and interview technique. Test Instrument in this research have 5 description problem test. The result of research indicate descriptively that students of MTs Negeri Ngablak undertake the average of concept error 67,77%, the average of procedure error 51,96%, and the average of computation error 28,41% with low category. The most dominant mistake type in resolving the problem which is done by VII A students MTs Negeri Ngablak is concept error.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang memiliki kemampuan matematika dari tinggi sampai rendah. Selain itu, akan ditelaah capaian kemampuan siswa pada setiap karakteristik yang muncul. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskripsi kualitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII MTsN di kota Jombang dengan ukuran sampel yaitu siswa yang berkemampuan rendah yang diambil dari nilai matematika siswa pada bab SPLDV. Variabel dalam penelitian ini adalah kemampuan komunikasi siswa. Data diperoleh dengan proses pengerjaan soal dan wawancara per individu. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa adanya perbedaan antara komunikasi matematis lisan dan tulisan. Komunikasi matematis dalam bentuk lisan digolongkan berdasarkan keakuratan, kelengkapan, dan kelancaran penjelasan jawaban. Sedangkan kemammpuan komunikasi dalam bentuk tulisan digolongkan berdasarkan keakuratan, kelengkapan, dan kesistematisan jawaban. Terungkap bahwa dari masing-masing subjek menunjukkan capaian yang berbeda tiap karakteristik baik lisan maupun tulisan. Subyek penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan dalam kemampuan komunikasi matematika saat berkomunikasi.

Abstract

The present study aimed to (1) develop media-based learning of smartphone for learning mathematics in junior school, (2) to know the feasibility of media-based smartphone made. This research is a research and development (Research & Development), which is a research used to develop or validate the products used in learning. The development method used in this study follows a simple development procedure suggested by Borg & Gall consisting of five steps, namely (1) product analysis to be developed, (2) initial product development, (3) expert validation and product revision, 4) limited trial and product revision, (5) main trial and final product. The result of this study is media learning with the title " Smartphone Based Independent Learning Media for Junior High School Cube Material" which is packaged in a APK file in a Compact Disk (CD). The validation proved the feasible use of smartphone-based media learning. The feasibility is supported by the average media score of 86.5 (very good), the material score 93.5 (very good), the student response scores from 20 students in MTs N Ngablak with an average of 58.2 (very good). The validation of this feasibility is also supported by the average score of student learning result test equal to 85 with number of student reaching KKM 95% and existence of high correlation (r= 0,828) between score of student response test with score test result learning of students which means that there is an unidirectional relationship between students' questionnaire scores with test scores of student learning outcomes.
