Abstract

Introduction : In Vitro Fertilization is one solution to the problem of infertility. In Vitro Fertilization is the process of fertilization of egg cells and sperm cells outside the woman's body (in a liquid medium in a glass cup). In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) has several types, one of which is Embryo Transfer. IVF-ET treatment itself lasts a long time, which is approximately 50 months. So that women who undergo IVF-ET often experience increased stress, the cause is either from themselves, lack of support from partners, family, and the surrounding social environment. The purpose of this Literature Review is to analyze several research results regarding the description of women's stress with the in vitro fertilization– Embryo program. Method : The type of research used is Literature Review using PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses) and JBI checklist. The search results through 4 databases (Google Scholar, NCBI, PubMed, and Elsevier) found 1,055 journals, then selected so that the remaining 13 journals matched the inclusion criteria. Journal search adjusted for the last five years. Results : The results of a review of 13 journals found that 1 journal showed stress for IVF-ET women in the form of worry, 8 journals described stress for women with IVF-ET in the form of anxiety, 1 journal described stress for IVF-ET women in the form of intrapersonal sensitivity, 2 journals showed stress for IVF women. -ET in the form of isolating themselves from the social environment, 1 journal shows that IVF-ET women's stress can be in the form of sleep pattern disturbances, 1 journal discusses IVF-ET women's stress in the form of alexithymia, and 1 journal discusses IVF-ET women's stress in the form of decreased sexual arousal. Discussion : Based on a review of 13 journals that have been analyzed, the most dominant picture of stress in women with IVF-ET programs is the occurrence of anxiety. And of course, further research is needed to analyze other stress features experienced by women with IVF-ET programs. Keywords: Stress, Women, In Vitro Fertilization

Abstract

One of the impacts of the success of health development in Indonesia is increasing the life expectancy of the Indonesian population. Based on Indonesia's population projection data, in 2025 it is estimated to be 33.69 million. In 2030 it is estimated to be 40.95 million and in 2035 it is estimated to be 48.19. Naturally the process of getting old causes a person to experience changes in health problems so health coaching is needed in the elderly group. Many health problems arise due to degenerative diseases due to the ageing process. Therefore, the government together with the community facilitate the elderly group to continue to be able to live independently and productively socially and economically and can maintain and improve their quality of life, one of which is the ‘Nya'ah Ka Kolot’ program. The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of the ‘Nya'ah ka Kolot’ Program on the quality of life of the elderly at the Nursing Center of Batujajar Health Center. The research method used a quasi-experiment with one group pre-posttest without a control design. Respondents were 16 people with the determination of the number of respondents using the replication formula for a completely randomized design. The results of the statistical test showed that the p value of the quality of life on the physical aspect was 0.02, psychological aspects was 0.002, the social aspect was 0.009, and the environmental aspect was 0.002. The conclusion is that there is a significant effect of the Nya'ah ka Kolot program intervention on the quality of life of the elderly. Keywords: quality of life; elderly; Nya’ah Ka Kolot program; nursing center

Abstract

The 2019 Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) is dubbed as one of the deadliest and worst global pandemics. Many pandemic policies and programs were implemented in different countries across the globe, including creating vaccines that would enhance human immunity against the symptoms caused by the virus. Since then, debates on vaccines have emerged, citing vaccine hesitancy often associated with certain factors like socioeconomic status, beliefs, and vaccine awareness. This birthed an intensive call for vaccine literacy as an effective means of encouraging people to get vaccinated against viruses. This paper uses the Walker and Avant (2019) approach of concept analysis with the help of its eight systematic stages. Results showed that vaccine literacy was adopted after the concept of health literacy. It is defined as a process of providing vaccine information, building communication, and increasing people's engagement about vaccines. The identified defining attributes of vaccine literacy include "health literacy," "disease prevention," "education," and "immunization." Vaccine literacy is considered relevant in the nursing practice as knowledge of vaccine literacy quickly advances nurses' practice roles through vaccination education, creating developmental policies about vaccines, and prescribing immunization to patients. Keywords: vaccine hesitancy; COVID-19; nursing; concept analysis

Abstract

Countries in the world including Indonesia are being hit by the health problems of the corona virus (Covid-19) pandemic. The government continues to carry out various handling and prevention efforts, especially in controlling the spread of COVID-19 in the community, including students who carry out learning activities on campus. One of the efforts made is to implement policies regarding the learning process through online learning. Online learning methods cause different perceptions among students and this has an impact on several things including student learning motivation. The study was conducted to analyze the relationship between students' perceptions of online learning methods on student motivation in nursing at the Sutomo campus, Surabaya. The research method was observational analytic with a cross-sectional approach. Online data collection using Google Form, data analysis using Spearman's rho statistical test. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between students' perceptions of online learning and students' learning motivation (p = 0.00). It is recommended to increase student learning motivation through improving facilities, infrastructure, facilities and learning methods as well as positive perceptions of online learning. Keywords: online learning; nursing students; perceptions; motivation

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to analyse the concept of caring behaviour of diabetic nurses in terms of its use and definition in the provision and or management of health care services to diabetic patients with COVID 19.  This paper is limited to the context of its use within the hospital care setting. A literature review was conducted wherein out of 30 resources that were assessed, only nine literatures were included. The paper revealed that caring behaviour is a human action, intervention, and emotion as its defining attributes.  Caring behaviour as a human action is the act of a nurse while performing its duties and responsibilities, while as an intervention, it is the action performed to meet the patient’ needs while undergoing treatment. Moreover, as an emotion it conveys empathy, happiness, and concern towards patient’s safety.  It is further inferred that caring behavior is always present in a diabetic nurse whatever case he/she is handling; the acceptance or acknowledgement of the caring behavior of the nurse by a patient may hasten recovery and caring behavior is the core of nursing and cannot be separated from the nursing profession. Keywords: caring behaviour; human action; intervention; emotion; dietic nurses

Abstract

People living with HIV and AIDS (PLWHA) are at risk of having low antibodies that can cause comorbidities such as Tuberculosis (TB) and other diseases. For this reason, this study aims to describe health literacy and self-stigma of PLWHA. This type of research was quantitative with a descriptive design. The sample size was 50 people living with HIV infected with TB, selected using total population sampling. Data collection by using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the characteristics of respondents based on age were mostly in the category of more than 31 years (62%), male gender (54%) and self-employed/farmer/fishermen (60%). The majority of PLWH are male, aged above 30 years, have a self-employed job and a high school education above. Health literacy about HIV and TB is mostly in the poor category and self-stigma in the high category. For this reason, it is necessary to improve communication, information and education for PLWHA to improve health literacy and reduce self-stigma.Keywords: health literacy; self stigma; HIV and AIDS

Abstract

Models of learning and creative thinking ability are important factors that must be considered in improving student learning outcomes. The research development aims to develop research-based practice learning models to improve learning achievements in the development of assimilation and application of student knowledge. The study was conducted on undergraduate Nursing students who were carrying out the clinical practice. The method in this study was the Research Development (RD) method and the second stage was the RBL model trial. The development of RBL models in this study began with the preparation of models, expert tests, empirical tests on practical students, and continued empirical tests on students. Then the model was improved and the final product was determined (final model). Students are involved in the implementation of learning and learning reflection. This research involved 500 students. Data was collected using a student rating or self-evaluation scale consisting of 27 items. The analysis technique used  Partial Least Square (PLS). Research output is research-based practice learning models. Research-based learning can improve students’ skills in solving problems, thinking critically, scientific work skills, the mastery of physics concepts, students’ generic abilities, the science process skills in physics, and students’ science literacy. Keywords: research based learning; practice learning; knowledge
