Abstract

Gross motor skills on children must be optimized much earlier since it plays important role not only on their interaction process but also in supporting other multiple developments. One of the means in developing child's motor skill is by providing innovative games i.e. modified games including game format, game timing, and game sequence. The objective of this research was to prove the effects of modified games to the development of gross motor skill of preschoolers. Research method was pre-experimental with One Group Pre-post test Design approach. Research samples were the students of Group B Kindergarten in the districts of Gedeg as many as 180 students which were conducted by using purposive sampling. Research instrument was observation during one month. The data was analyzed by Wilcoxon sign rank test. The results suggested that there was effect of modified games to the development of preschool gross motor skill with p-value = 0.000. Changes on motor skill development were obtained from those who were initially on the beginning stage, as many as 101 respondents, became 14 respondents after intervention. Development stage proceeded as expected, from initial 65 respondents the number increased to 130 respondents. At the end of the intervention, there were even 36 respondents whose development stage beyond where they were supposed to be. This proved that the provision of modified games had positive effects on physical, cognitive, and social development. Modified games triggered children's interest and made them be willing to train their activities as well as muscle development, decreased saturation, and improved their skills in a fun way.

Abstract

There have been many learning innovations that have been carried out by lecturers, but there are still many that only emphasize the low-level cognitive domains and not the high-level cognitive domains (analysis, synthesis, evaluation, and creation), the affective and psychomotor domains. The learning model has not been used many facilitate students to learn actively. As a result, learning is more dominated lecturers so that student activities are less than optimal. The purpose of this study is to develop learning tools and textbooks maternity nursing courses with a research-based learning approach. The resulting product are (1) learning tools in maternity nursing and (2) textbooks with research-based applications. The research was conducted on 40 undergraduate students of STIKes Bina Sehat PPNI Mojokerto, who carried out the academic learning process of maternity nursing. The method used refers to the 7 stages of the research-based learning process, with the validation of consultants and education experts. The main framework above is used as a basis for developing learning tools. Then the expert test of theoretical validity was carried out on the implementation of the RBL learning tool, with the result that the value of r = 0.909 (high reliability). The test results are widespread, not much different from the expert test results. While research-based textbooks are the results of research outputs, used as a guide for students to be able to build critical thinking, analysis and structure based on evidence. Abstract

The prevalence of surgical delivery assistance (Sectio caesarea) is increasing. During the intrapartal procedure, the mother is at risk of excessive bleeding and has an impact on decreasing hemoglobin levels. The purpose of the study is to prove the effectiveness of honey in increasing the initial hemoglobin levels of mothers Post Sectio Caesarea. The samples of the study were 50 postpartum mothers, who met the criteria of the research. Respondents were taken by random sampling, divided into 24 people in control group and 26 people in experimental group. The dependent variables were HB level and the administration of honey as an independent variable. HB was measured using electric HB and medical record. Data were analyzed by Mann-Whitney test, Wilcoxon Sign Rank test, and Wilcoxon-Mann-Whitney. The results of the showed mean pre-post control and experiment group: 10.36±0.87 vs 10.82±0.35; p value = 0.473; 11.53±0.45 vs 12.87±0.76; p value = 0.028, meaning that the administration of honey was effective in increasing the HB levels of mothers post Sectio caesarea. Honey contains iron (Fe), which is an important micromineral in the body because it can function to form red blood cells. Iron content can synthesize heme formation which increases Hemoglobin levels. Abstract

Antiretroviral (ARV) therapy was undertaken with HIV/AIDS by took medication for life, to suppress the amount of virus. Most people took antiretroviral (ARV) drugs had some side effects, one of which decreased in hemoglobin (Hb), which was influenced by factors duration of therapy and CD4 levels. As a result of long use of antiretroviral (ARV) drugs by the side effects that cause a decrease in hemoglobin. The research objective was to determine the relationship of long used of ARV (Antiretroviral) on levels of hemoglobin in people with HIV / AIDS. The research design corelation analytical with cross sectional approach. Entired population HIV/AIDS patients undergoing antiretroviral therapy in Polyclinic VCT at Prof. Dr. Soekandar Hospital District Mojokerto regency as many as 65 respondents. Samples of 25 respondents took by purposive sampling. Old data retrieval use of ARV drugs by used observations of medical records and hemoglobin concentration used check tool hemoglobin (Hb Quick Chek) and secondary data. Test data analysis using the Spearman rho shows ρ (0.002) < α (0.05), it means that there is a long-standing relationship to the use of ARV drugs hemoglobin levels. Decreases in hemoglobin may occur due to antiretroviral drugs tend to inhibit the enzyme reverse transcriptase and cause damage to the spinal cord so that hemoglobin in the blood is very low which leads to anemia. One way to suppress the occurrence of side effects can be done by taking supplements that can increase the levels of hemoglobin in the blood.

Abstract

Nausea and vomiting often appear with under various conditions, includ being a common side effect of using anti-neoplastic drugs. Chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) is a major problem that can often alter the quality of life (QoL) and patient adherence to treatment if left untreated. Aromatherapy peppermint is one form of improvised non pharmacological handling of CINV. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of giving peppermint aromatherapy in reducing CINV in chemotherapy patients. This study was a quasy experiment with a Non Equivalent with Control Group design, with total sample groups of 285 respondents with consecutive technique. Parameters in this study used Rhodes Index Nausea Vomiting and Reching (RINVR). The data were analyzed using Wilcoxon sign rank test as a test of change of nausea scale of pre and post vomiting in experimental group using peppermint aromatherapy and control group. The results of the differences from both groups were tested with mann whitney-u test. Wilcoxon sign rank test analysis, showing differences in the incidence of nausea and vomiting in the control group and intervention group. The result of change of decrease in experimental group value ρ = 0,001 is more significant than control group with value ρ = 0,020. The difference is tested with mann whitney-u test with the result value ρ = 0.002. Aromatherapy works in one’s body by triggering the release of neurotransmitter like enkephalin and endorphin which have analgesic effect and increase the feeling of comfortable and relax. Through inhalation, the fragrance of aromatherapy is transmitted through two ways, first is through limbic system into hypothalamus until pituitary. Second is transmitted through olfactory cortex, into thalamus and then head to neocortex. Through these two ways aromatherapy shall be processed until it creates individual perception Keywords : CINV, Chemotherapy, Peppermint aromatherapy

Abstract

Late delivery of breast milk is a common problem in postpartum mothers and may result in early breastfeeding unfulfilled resulting in adverse health effects for both mother and baby. Shiatzu Techniqu is one form of non-pharmacologic therapy to accelerate the expenditure time of breast milk. This study aims to determine the influence of Shiatzu Technique in accelerating the time spent on breastfeeding post partum mother. This research type is quasi experiment with Post Control Only Control With Group Design design, with two groups each consisting of 80 respondents taken with concecutive technique. Data analysis using T-Two Sample Test as comparative test and expenditure time of ASI on control group that did not done shiatzu technique and experiment group performed shitzu technique with α <0.05. The results of the differences from both groups were tested with T-Two Sample Test with the result value ρ = 0.003. The result of the differences from both groups tested with T-Two Sample Test with the result value ρ = 0.003 means there is a significant difference between the control group and the experimental group. In the control group most of the time Breastmilk expenditure was Normal (25-72 hours) whereas in the experimental group its Rapid Breastfeeding (1-24 hours). Faster breastfeeding time in the post partum mothers of the experimental group was due to two interventions given that early Initiation of Breastfeeding was also continued by Shiaztu Technique. Thus, in postoperative mothers with no contraindications, Shiatzu Technque was very effective given to speed up the release of breast milk.
