Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of YouTube influencers’ source credibility and the information quality of the platform on destination image and young travellers’ intention to visit a destination. Stimulus-organism-response (SOR) theory was adopted to develop the tested research model. This study applied a quantitative approach where primary data was collected through online surveys to 198 YouTube subscribers who had watched the examined YouTube channels’ content. The PLS-SEM technique was utilized to assess the structural model in the study. The results of this study show that source credibility had a significant positive effect on information quality, destination image, and visit intention. The information quality positively affected destination image but did not directly impact the visit intention. Furthermore, the destination image significantly mediates the effect of source credibility and information quality on visit intention. This study enriches the literature on the relationships among source credibility, information quality, and how these credibility and information quality could influence the destination image and young travellers’ intention to visit a destination in an emerging country like Indonesia. Keywords— Destination Image; Information Quality; Source Credibility; Visit Intention: YouTube Influencer; Young Travelers.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate whether employee empowerment (EE) as a mediator variable of the mechanistic pathway of transformational leadership (TL) influences employee performance (EP). A quantitative method was employed. The samples were 109 employees of regional companies in Magetan City, East Java and were collected from questionnaires. SEM-PLS was employed for data analysed. The results showed that transformational leadership directly affects employee performance. Work motivation has a role as a mediator variable from transformational leadership mechanisms to employee performance. Meanwhile, employee empowerment does not have a role as a mediator variable in the path of transformational leadership mechanisms on employee performance. The mediating role of employee empowerment in the mechanistic pathway is still contradictory. Therefore, the investigation of employee empowerment as a mediator variable in the mechanism is still recommended for future research. Abstract

Entrepreneurship education is a field that develops and occupies an important position in the policy agenda in many countries. The research objective is to identify the research trend of entrepreneurship education as well as the scientific production from time to time, such as: sources, authors, and documents. The bibliometric analysis was used to analize the sample from 2176 articles which have been published between 1977 to 2021. To get the metadata from the Scopus bibliography database, on Friday, 23rd of July 2021, at 2:56 pm, it used the “entrepreneurship AND education” query in the article title. Microsoft Excel was used to do the frequency analysis, VOSviewer was used to visualize the data, and Harzing's Publish or Perish was used as citation metrics. The result showed the improvement in the literature about entrepreneurship education from 1980 until 2021, and the improvement happened in 2010. There is many research about entrepreneurship education which involves multi-author collaboration, those are published in multi-language, with total of 160 authors from 109 different countries and 160 institutions. The United States is the biggest contributor to this research, followed by China, The United Kingdom, Spain, and Indonesia. The most publication about entrepreneurship education published by Education and Training. This finding can help further research related to the overview of entrepreneurship education worldwide from time to time. This paper also proposes several future avenues of entrepreneurship education research. In future research, it is recommended to expand the use of the database and includes more fields in the search.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries with a significant market share. Based on data, it shows that Iphone market share in Indonesia is not among the top 5 biggest sales, especially with the current pandemic conditions. This problem occurs because other brands in the top rank also have variants of products that have similar to or the same prices as Iphone products. This research aims to determine the influence of reference groups on Iphone product purchasing decisions, the influence of lifestyle on Iphone product purchasing decisions, and the moderating effect of lifestyle on the relationship between reference groups and Iphone product purchasing decisions. The population of this research is Iphone users in big cities in Indonesia, namely Jakarta, Bandung, Bali, Medan, Pontianak, Makassar, Palembang, Lampung, and Ambon. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling with a total sample of 150 respondents. The data collection method is a survey with an online questionnaire. The multivariate analysis was used in this research, namely structural equation modelling. The results of the study indicate that the reference group has a significant influence on Iphone product purchasing decisions, lifestyle has a significant influence on Iphone product purchase decisions, and lifestyle can moderate the positive relationship between reference groups and purchasing decisions. In future research, other sampling techniques and a more varied number of samples are expected to be used to obtain more comprehensive results. Keywords— Reference Group; Lifestyle; Purchase decision; Structural Equation Modelling.

Abstract

Post-pandemic health strategies will be critical to hotel success. Guests' expectations regarding sanitation, cleanliness, safety, and health continue to rise. As a mitigation plan, hotel preparedness is essential to ensure guest satisfaction. Still, few studies examine the relationship between preparedness and guest satisfaction during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study aims to determine the effect of preparedness on guest satisfaction and assess the preparedness’s importance and performance on guest satisfaction in Bandung. The mid-scale hotel category was chosen as the unit of study since it contains the majority of hotels in Bandung. This quantitative cross-sectional study was undertaken. The data was gathered using a questionnaire survey of respondents who had stayed in the mid-scale hotel in Bandung during the pandemic. The data was analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) PLS and Importance-Performance Map Analysis (IPMA). According to the research findings, hotel preparedness has a synergic effect on guest satisfaction. Preparedness is a process, not a product, and each practice cannot be attained separately but must be integrated to ensure guest satisfaction. This research contributes that implementing crisis management through preparedness has an essential role in guest satisfaction; practically, hotels are expected to focus on cleanliness quality and strengthen human resources by enhancing employee competencies since they have the highest level of importance in reducing the risk of COVID-19. This research uses data from 2016 to 2020 to calculate the historical performance of each company and is projected from 2021 to 2025. We used pessimistic, moderate, and optimistic scenario. The method used is DCF method with FCFF approach and the calculation of the Relative Valuation method using PER and PBV approaches. The results based on the DCF-FCFF method showed that JSMR was overvalued for the pessimistic scenario and undervalued for the moderate and optimistic scenarios, while the calculation using the RV-PER method on JSMR showed that it was undervalued in the pessimistic and moderate scenarios and overvalued in the optimistic scenario. Also, based on the RV-PBV method, it showed undervalued in all scenarios. The DCF-FCFF results of CMNP issuers were undervalued in all scenarios, the RV-PER method was overvalued in all scenarios, and the RV-PBV were undervalued in all scenarios. Finally, META issuers were undervalued in the pessimistic scenario, and overvalued in the moderate and optimistic scenarios. RV-PER CMNP had undervalued results in the pessimistic scenario and overvalued in the moderate and optimistic scenarios, and the RV-PBV had undervalued results in the pessimistic scenario and overvalued in the moderate and optimistic scenarios.
