Abstract

Universities have the autonomy to manage themselves which regulates the planning, supervision, monitoring and evaluation systems to achieve the goals of higher education. One standard set in higher education is the application of information technology in the higher education governance system. In providing higher education sevices, University of Atma Jaya Makassar has utilized the application of information and communication technology infrastructure through the development of an Academic Information System (SIAMIK) and other supporting systems. The development of the lecture process management system (STKP) at the Faculty of Information Technology, University of Atma Jaya Makassar shows that the development has been able to integrate the supervisory function in the implementation of the lecture process by introducing the value of transparency and accountability. The STKP can provide convenience in evaluating the performance of study programs in the ongoing lecture process. The main objective of this research is to develop a system of supervision and integrated information services. With the information service study program can help universities, especially the information technology faculty in improving performance in the lecture process that is useful for lecturers, academic supervisors, study program chairmen and deans of the Faculty.Keywords: Academic Spervision System, Information Service.

Abstract

Healthy is the right of every person. Therefore, every person has the same rights in obtaining access to the resources in the health field. However, there are limitations in the access and a minimal level of public knowledge about health wellness does not end up making every person the same. It is seen from the high number of deaths in children under five due to diarrheal diseases. To that end, Indonesia Sehat Programme 2025 in which people's behavior is proactive to maintain and improve health and prevent the risk of developing the disease then designed a wellness educational applications using multimedia expansion method and use the library as amethod of research studies. Abstract

This research focuses on the utilization of Location Based Service services to find the location of the nearest workshop in Makassar. Workshop is a place to fix two-wheeled vehicles and four wheeled and more. When damage occurs at the time of use, the vehicle owner is generally confused to find the nearest workshop. In addition, the nearest workshop may not necessarily have a good reputation so that vehicle owners prefer to enter the vehicle in the official workshop. The purpose of this research is to design an information service for customers to find the nearest service based on Location Based Service, so that later both general workshop and authorized workshops can compete to provide good service for customers. Location base service is a Service using Google's global positioning service (GPS) and cell-based location technology. In addition, the LBS consists of several components, namely mobile devices, communication networks, position components, and service and content providers. The research method uses a waterfall method consisting of the stage of analysis, design, design and implementation. The results of this study is an application that can receive requests for repair or service periodically by the owner of the vehicle to the workshop. When the repair shop receives requests for repair or maintenance, the workshop will pick up the vehicle.

Abstract

The information has become one of the most important parts for an institution today, including Universitas Atma Jaya Makassar. One of the information is academic, so it needs fast processing to get that information. The problems that arise are difference of language between the user who need information and database language which storage data of academic. So we need an interpreter to bridge the difference of language. In this research, the writer uses Natural Language Processing as the solution from that problem and use Parser Noise-Disposal. The application is designed by PHP as programming language and MySQL as database.

Abstract

La Galigo museum has a wide range of cultural and historical relics. Museum La Galigo established aimed as fostering the preservation of the cultural heritage of South Sulawesi. This study aims to create a virtual museum of La Galigo website so that people can recognize and know the information of the museum La Galigo especially the culture collections of the South Sulawesi. In addition to designing websites, a virtual tour concept is also applied as part of this study. Virtual tours are used to describe the atmosphere of the museum showroom. Virtual tour is applied using a 360 degree panoramic image and image mapping techniques. Virtual museum website designed attractive and easy to use

Abstract

In the midst of the growing use of the Internet and electronic commerce, security becomes more significant. This paper reported the results of a case study of security enhancement for a typical corporate network. This paper will discuss about the risks and priorities in security. Several methods that should be considered to be implemented in corporate networks will be given. In addition, suggestion to help the improvement will also be provided.

Abstract

This research aimed to develop the image search system using content-based retrieval approach by applying algorithm to extract low-level feature from images. Low-level information that is used to extract image features in the image retrieval system is color information contained in the image. Composition of color pixels in an image can be represented in a color histogram. The degree of similarity between the image colors is determined based on the distance between the histogram using Laplace distance and Euclidean distance. The smaller the distance between the histogram, the higher the percentage of similarity of an image. Results of image retrieval through the database will be displayed according to the query by example method performed by a user, based on the sequence of images that have a higher percentage of similarity. The test results for images with a maximum size of 150 x 150 pixels get fairly accurate results with percentages of similarity is above 60 percent.Keywords: Content Based Image Retrieval, Histogram, color space

Abstract

One of the factors that affect services in supermarkets is the efficiency of the time. The efficiency of the time can be done by utilizing the technology of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID). The purpose of this research is to design a simulated point of sale system using Radio Frequency Identification to time efficiency in services at the supermarket. The results of this research is a Point of Sale system simulation by using RFID technology and has been declared eligible to use based on the results of the interviews and simulations directly involving 9 of 14 employees of the cashier at Gelael Signature Makassar.Keywords: Point of Sale System Simulation, RFID, Spiral , Supermarket.

Abstract

Course scheduling problem belongs to the category of NP - hard (Non - deterministic polynomial - time complex). The complexity of solving course scheduling problems give an indication to the limits of the constraintsto the problem. This research focusses on the development of applicable course scheduling program at University of Atma Jaya Makassar. The problem with the previous scheduling program can not be implemented to prodcecourse schedule because there are some additional factors that affect the scheduling process at the University of Atma Jaya Makassar. The development was done by adjusting the scheduling process currently used to program scheduling course.
