Yupa: Historical Studies Journal publishes articles for four aspects below. Historiography means the writing of history based on the critical examination of sources, the selection of particular details from the authentic materials in those sources, and the synthesis of those details into a narrative that stands the test of critical examination. Historiography studies cover chronologically various themes, such as local history, social history, cultural history, economic history, political history, military history, intellectual history, environmental history, and other historical studies. Philosophy of history, the study either of the historical process and its development or of the methods used by historians to understand their material. History of education is a study of the past that focuses on educational issues. These include education systems, institutions, theories, themes, and other related phenomena in the past. History education includes studies of how history teaches in school or society, curriculum, educational values in events, figures, and historical heritage, media and sources of historical learning, history teachers, and studies of textbooks.

Abstract

This research focuses on the history of the migration of Dayak Dusun Malang, the migration process, the background of migration and the impact of the migration to the lives of Dayak Dusun Malang. This study uses historical methods with primary data sources obtained from the customary chairman and community leaders, while secondary data is Proleh from the village data and the media of the time relevant to the research. Data collection techniques using interviews, with public figures, observations, reviewing directly the old Juju and documentation, the results showed the reason for the migration carried out by the Dayak Dusun Malang because of the colonialism done by the Dutch and Ngayau. The migration process occurred within 1872-1940 times the existence of a stopover in two places, namely Teluk Punant and Teluk Keriring. The impact of such migrations can be seen in social and economic conditions.

Abstract

The existence of the Dutch ruling in Indonesia brought the development of Protestant Christianity. Continued with the entry of zending who came with the spirit of Pietism (pious people who practice God's word) which in principle prioritizes repentance, teaching faith experiences in daily life and in worship. They were sent to carry out the mission of preaching the gospel to all mankind who do not yet believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences in the results of learning history using the Student Facilitator And Explaining and Mind Mapping Class X learning model at SMA Plus Bina Satria Rupit. The research method used in this study was a quasi-experimental with random sampling method. The average result of the pre-test in the experimental class I was 55.18 and in the experimental class II was 54.3. while the post-test average value in the experimental class I after being given post-test treatment using the Student Facilitator And Expalinning model was 81.32, and in the experimental class II given Mind Mapping learning was 76.53. Based on the results of data analysis using the average difference test (Paired sample T test) obtained the final test value in sig. (2-Tiled) = 0.00 < 0.05, then Ho is rejected, Ha is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that there are differences in the results of learning history using the Student Facilitator And Explaining and Mind Mapping Class X learning model at SMA Plus Bina Satria Rupit.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a history booklet about the entry and development of Islam in Indonesia for class X SMA Negeri Tugumulyo according to the 2013 curriculum. This research is development research using a 4-D model which consists of four stages, namely: definition, design, development, and dissemination. Based on the results of the analysis of the assessment by three experts, namely linguists, media experts, and material experts, it shows that the material history booklet of the entry and development of Islam into Indonesia fulfills the valid category with an average score of 3,21. While the results of the analysis of the student assessment sheet consisting of 31 people, it was found that the history booklet of material entry and development of Islam into Indonesia fulfilled the practical category with an average score of 3,60. The result of the t-hitung is 7,472, the significance level is a=0,05 with the degrees of freedom (dk/df) 31, the t-tabel is 1,697 with a significance of 0,000, which means it is smaller than 0,05, there is a significant relationship, meaning that the history booklet material for the entry and development of Islam into Indonesia is valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

The event of Islamization in Kutai Kertanegara Monarchy needs to be reviewed on the basis of verified primary sources. This study aims to analyze the validity of Surat Salasilah Raja dalam Negeri Kutai Kertanegara Malay-Arabic script, as a source of traditional historiography. The script describes the process of Islamization in the Monarchy of Kutai Kertanegara whence it begins as mythological texts then written as historical narratives. With historical research methods, the main source of this research is the book of Letters of Salasilah Raja in Kutai Kertanegara in Arabic Malay script by Khatib Muhammad Thahir which was completed in 1849. The results of the study show that, with strict verification, Salasilah Kutai is a valid historical source. The process of Islamization in the Kutai Kertanegara Monarchy took place through the role of a preacher named Tuan Tunggang Parangan who carried out an egalitarian dialectic to Raja Makota, in 1575.
