What relevancy the Gabriel Marcel’s concept with human and emphaty with the victim of disaster? The Result of research are: According to Marcel’s view of existence of human being cannot be objectivied. The existence is my real experience as a subject in the world. In other word, existence represents the complexity of all factors that signs my live. Because of Marcel’concept gave appreciation for relation, he sure that man is the dynamic creature, always be achieve the level of to be. This level require to be confessed because to become to be myself, somebody will depend on its relationship. Intersubjective relationship according to Marcel marked with attendance. The mystery of human being is on this relationship. Attendance represents the meeting I – Thou, not only be comprehended simply as a meeting someone in the space. Attendance realized with the love, and faithfulness. These unsure are the important elements in understand and feel disaster victim, not as an object felt pity. Expectation will penetrate the certainty, which can make the calm human being and not afraid to death, also for the disaster. Expectation will appear the belief. Despair becaused of losing the expectation, belief, and love. These elements will realize the awareness to the eternity love, inclusive of God. Love represents the philosophic key on Marcel’concept which find the balance solution. Love gives the meaning of intersubjective relationship. With Love, the object will never died. Love gives the eternity meaning, to remove the hate each other, like expectation when removing the fear, despair. The contrary, expectation gives someone the confidence, certainty to uncertainty. Abstract

Indonesian culture has a strong root in a culture of island communities. The culture, especially philosophy of the island communities is not so much revealed in studies of philosophy and culture. Therefore, this article will explore and explain philosophical values that shape the self-concept of the island communities. Epistemology is used as a formal object, while the material object is the island communities’ views and way of life. This article concludes that for the island communities, their islands are not just meant as a territorial locus, but also a cultural and personal locus because the islands have a concept of self and a sense of space and existence. Every community always identifies and conceptualizes themselves in a cosmological and socio-cultural concept. Every community has local knowledges, values, and institutions that are formed by an original natural ratio. The natural ratio grows from cosmic consciousness level to magical (religious) consciousness, and finally social consciousness. Willingness and policies are needed to build resilience and progress of the nation existence through a development of the island communities manifestly. The development of island communities must become one of important features of national development in Indonesia.

Theological ethics rooted in the book of the Religion of Adam Jamus Kalimasada, associated with nobleness of soul and character. Deontological ethics, as obligations contained in the teachings of Samin, such as: aja srei drengki, tukar padu, dahpen kemeren, and mbadhog colong. This principles are categorically imperative which must be implemented in daily life that also affect the harmony of the universe.

Abstract

In Islamic tradition most people are known as ‘wali’ when they have miracle (karamah), such as healing people from blindness, transforming anything to another thing, etc.. Those karamah got muslims respect to the walis. Many cases show that they have privileges and permissions to behave or act which is different from common people. These privileges attract some persons to claim themselves as ‘wali’. The phenomena tends to position communities of one society in a destructive conflict because it is susceptible to manipulate the predicate of wali. According to Reynold A. Nicholson, the wali is everyone who is chosen by Allah. There is no boundaries of age, sex, race, or any other condition for the wali. Wali or aulia (plural) are chosen for their piety and ability to manage their desire, and because of their intimate relation to God, they had karamah. While Sufis are chosen from muslim community, aulia are chosen from the Sufis.
