Abstract

This study aims to develop an academic integrity scale to help lecturers evaluate the academic integrity of university students with peer-assessment learning experiences using the ADDIE research and development method. Twenty-four items were designed using the concepts of academic integrity; honesty, trust, fairness, respect, responsibility, and courage validated by six raters and tested on 520 students from various universities in Indonesia. Testing content validity using the Aiken-V formula, construct validity testing using discriminant indexes, factor analysis (Exploratory and Confirmatory Factor Analysis), and concurrent validity testing by correlating PAAIS-24 with the developed Academic Integrity Scale. While the reliability test used Cronbach's alpha formula. The study results proved that each item of content validity meets with an Aiken value >0.80; on construct validity testing, the discriminant index value is >0.50, and the EFA and CFA loading factor values are >0.50. In addition, the model is appropriate because the theoretical model of PAAIS-24 is in accordance with empirical data. Whereas in reliability testing, Cronbach's alpha value is 0.95. Lastly, PAAIS-24 is one of the credible instruments. Abstract

Knowledge of Social Engineering is crucial to prevent potential attacks related to organizational Information Security. The objective of this paper aims to identify the most common social engineering techniques, success attack factors, and obstacles, as well as the good practices and frameworks that could be adopted concerning their mitigation. As an analysis methodology, a Systematic Literature Review was carried out. The findings revealed that the discussion about SE attacks has increased and that the most imminent threat is phishing. Exploiting human vulnerabilities is a growing threat when the attack is not carried out directly through technical means. There continue to be more technical attacks than non-technical attacks. Encouraging organizational security prevention, like training, education, technical controls, process development, defense in detail, and the development of security policies, should be considered mitigating factors for the negative impact of SE attacks. Most SE frameworks/models are focused on attack techniques and methods, mostly on technical components, decorating human factor. Abstract

Bridging a significant gap in knowledge broker research, this study addresses the challenges and difficulties in demystifying the roles and components of Knowledge Brokers (KBs) within the management consulting context. Despite their recognized importance, the specific functions, and components of KBs in this specific sector context, known for its intensive use of knowledge, have been unexplored. This study aims to narrow the research gap by identifying key components of KB that enable the knowledge brokerage process in management consulting. Utilizing a mixed methods approach with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and data collection from various geographies from global perspectives, the research offers an in-depth understanding of KBs in management consulting. The research findings confirm Interpersonal Skills and Cognitive Ability, along with sub-components like Interactive Skill, Motivational Skill, Hybrid & Anomalous, Neutrality, Professional Competence and Experiential Knowledge, as critical to KBs. The findings offer original contributions to theoretical implications by narrowing the research gaps within this specific context. On the practical front, this study provides strategic insights for organizations to significantly enhance sustainable innovation by integrating external knowledge into organizational decision-making processes, which could be extendable to other industries. Furthermore, it suggests the potential to evolve traditional knowledge brokerage into technology-driven platforms and enhance the innovation ecosystem. Abstract

Recent studies have focused on examining the impact of technostress (TS) on academics and students. However, there remains a paucity of studies examining the influence of TS on burnout among academics. This study aims to explore the influence of TS on academics' feelings of burnout and to examine the mitigating role of TS inhibitors on burnout among academics when using online learning technology. A web-based survey was designed and used to collect data from 115 academics in Malaysian universities. The data were analyzed using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) technique. The research findings reveal that academic burnout is significantly influenced by technology insecurity, technology invasion, and technology uncertainty. However, the impact of technology overload is only partially significant, while technology complexity does not exert a significant influence on academic burnout. Moderation tests reveal that literacy and involvement facilitation significantly moderate the relationship between technology uncertainty and insecurity, reducing burnout feelings. This study extends existing literature by providing empirical evidence to explain the relationship between TS and the academic burnout construct. Furthermore, it demonstrates the mitigating role of TS inhibitors on the burnout construct. Abstract

This paper presents a novel soft computing-based machine learning technique designed to enhance the trajectory tracking capabilities of mobile robots through the application of neural networks. The goal of this approach is to enhance the accuracy and overall performance of trajectory tracking without the need for manual gain recalibration, which is a tedious and time-consuming task for the designer when setting up the robot. This improvement is achieved by creating a kinematic controller based on neural networks, which are constructed using the kinematic model of the robot. In the initial phase, the controller requires gains defined by the designer. Subsequently, during the application phase, the backpropagation algorithm is used to dynamically adjust the gains of the neural network, aiming to minimize the closed-loop error. One of the key innovations introduced by this controller is the potential for automatic online gain tuning, thereby eliminating the need for a pre-learning phase, typically required by traditional neural controllers. To validate the effectiveness of this approach, the results are systematically analyzed and compared against those obtained using a conventional kinematic controller. Abstract

Objectives: Business model innovation is significant for corporation performance. Unclear or poorly designed business models can only achieve moderate or insignificant results in terms of performance. Under the view of innovation theory, multiple factors affect the efficiency-based business model innovation. Big data capabilities, knowledge creation, and Institutional environment are proposed. Methods: With the collection from 513 pig farming enterprises in China, this research analyzes the relationships among big data capabilities, knowledge creation, institutional environment, and efficiency-based business model innovation by SMART-PLS. Findings: As a result, big data capabilities have a positive impact on efficiency-based business model innovation. Big data capabilities have a positive impact on knowledge creation. Knowledge creation has a positive impact on efficient business model innovation, which is supported. Knowledge creation mediates between big data capabilities and efficient business model innovation, which is supported. Abstract

Since the launch of green banking, the Government Authority still needs to accommodate enacted norms and fintech in measuring sustainable bank performance. Empirically, this study aims to reveal the impact of variables and business drivers on sustainable bank performance. This research uses a quantitative approach through path analysis. By analysing 70 out of 78 bank managers or directors who are members of the National Banking Association as respondents, this study states that business drivers, fintech, and enacted norms encourage sustainable bank performance improvement. In addition, fintech and enacted norms are suitable as moderating and exogenous variables for sustainable bank performance, but the variables are not endogenous variables for business drivers. In addition, fintech and enacted norms can bridge the achievement of sustainable bank performance. The originality of this research is that enacted norms and fintech are the moderating variables in realising bank sustainability. Abstract

In the current exhibition industry, it is crucial for organizers and exhibitors to comprehend and enhance visitor experiences. The objective of this study is to improve the exhibition setting by utilizing Near Field Communication (NFC) technology to capture, monitor, and analyze visitor behavior, engagement, and satisfaction. The main approach entails combining NFC technology with the Visitor Experience Map to fully understand the complexities of the visitor experience. NFC-enabled smartphones facilitate seamless interaction with the system, as users simply need to bring their smartphones close to NFC tags. This enables data collection and triggers the activation of a visitor scoring form for ratings and feedback. The study's findings indicate a mean system usability score of 81.4, which demonstrates successful implementation and great usability. This confirms the effective and easy-to-use nature of the strategy, guaranteeing that visitors can effortlessly provide their ratings and feedback. The originality and enhancement reside in the successful integration of NFC technology with the Visitor Experience Map, providing a strong and user-focused approach for organizers and exhibitors to enhance the exhibition experience. Abstract

Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC) is a technology to harvest the solar energy stored in the ocean by utilizing the temperature difference between warm surface and cold deep seawater. Considering that the OTEC system works in a low-temperature range, the present paper assessed the technical resources comprehensively by acquiring in-situ thermocline data and conducting a sensitivity analysis of the system parameters. The in-situ temperature profile data were measured in the waters of North Bali, Indonesia. The temperature gradient data based on field measurements were then compared with the HYCOM consortium model. The data were then used as input in the OTEC power and efficiency estimation through a single-stage ranking cycle. The analysis was conducted by varying the type of working fluid, the performance of the heat exchanger, and the location to investigate how the system parameters influenced the power produced. Using an unusual combination of parameters made it difficult to analyze the resulting data multiple times. However, with reference-based analysis and the formulation of calculations, the sensitivity of each parameter could be assessed at both locations. As a result, the ammonia working fluid provided the highest net power output of the system but had the lowest efficiency of all working fluids. The heat exchanger performance in terms of net power and efficiency cannot be separated from the seawater mass flow requirement. This referred to the results where the heat exchanger with a temperature difference of 3°C before and after the seawater passed through the heat exchanger and produced the highest net power and efficiency. Abstract

The agricultural sector's output holds paramount significance for the global population, serving as an indispensable resource for survival and consumption. Consequently, alterations in agricultural landscapes bear substantial implications for the world's food supply. The objectives of this research are to investigate the depletion of agricultural land, with a specific focus on Samut Songkhram Province—an agriculturally prominent region in Thailand renowned for supplying seafood and fruits to Bangkok. By employing advanced remote sensing and change detection methods and incorporating indices like NDVI, NDWI, and NDBI, the study meticulously analyzed land-use changes. The outcomes were rigorously scrutinized through supervised classification, validated by on-site inspections, and corroborated with data from pertinent agencies. Findings revealed that Samut Songkhram had sustained its prominence in agricultural land, constituting around 70% of the province's total area over the past two decades. However, this expanse has undergone persistent transformation during the last 20 years. Notably, the most substantial surge was observed in the conversion of agricultural land to urban and developed areas, particularly in the urban zones of Amphawa District, followed by Mueang Samut Songkhram and Bang Khonthi districts.
