Abstract

Samba is an application that can connect two different operating system platforms. This application created in order to computer Linux, Unix, or BSD so that can be used as a Samba file server-based protocol, so Windows-based computers can access it. Samba server is implemented in the Laboratory of Computation, FMIPA University of Lampung as a means to facilitate access data or files for instructors, assistants, and practitioners. Using Samba server for file sharing can give problems in accessing, storing, and managing data or files because many users are accessing the system on a computer network so that the database server is messy. Considering these problems, the PDC is required as a file server. One purpose of this paper is to apply the Samba server as a PDC centrally in Laboratory of Computation , FMIPA University of Lampung. Based on test, the Samba server as a PDC has been successfully applied so management, storage, and transmission of data becomes easier, the problem was resolved.

Abstract

In this research we develop an application to simplify context-free grammar into a Chomsky normal form. This software was made to complete the process of simplification of the context-free grammar (CFG) so that user can identify the stages of a process of simplification, easy to understand the simplification at any stages as well as speed up the process. This software is created using the PHP programming language and use context-free grammar (CFG) as the input. The process order is carried out starting from removing epsilon, unit, and useless production so that the result is in Chomsky Normal Form. Black Box testing results with the method of partitioning software equivalen suggests that simplification of software context-free grammar into a Chomsky normal form using PHP was successful and suitable with the user needs.

Abstract

Active student of computer science system is a system developed based on academic information system (siakad) which is managed by The University of Lampung. The system is built to calculate the number of active students based on data that has been inputted by students into the KRS at the beginning of the semester. KRS data is used to build the system to calculate the number of active students majoring in Computer science. The system was developed using PHP and MySQL, and tested using the Black box and White box testing.

Abstract

Libraries are part of the learning resources that should be owned by every school or college. Because learners easily find the information or knowledge through library. With the development of technology make people think to be able to work more effectively and efficiently. One of them is to make the conventional system to a computerized system. The website by utilizing the facilities connected to the internet. libraries can be more effective and efficient in searching and ordering books.In this research, I have designed a web-based information systems using programming languages PHP MySQL. With this system, is expected to address the various needs of the user to search for books and book as well as facilitate the administration of the school in the circulation of borrowing books and preparing reports.From the research that has been conducted on these results the authors implement in Designing Library Information System Web-Based on SMA Negeri 1 Penengahan. Keywords: Information System, Internet, Library, PHP MySQL, Web.

Abstract

Distance students can be seen from the data stored student's address. Address high school students in the Pringsewu District have different distances. This research was conducted to determine the classification of the distance stored in high school students in the Pringsewu District. Distance students are classified to obtain five categories: "sangat dekat", "dekat", "sedang", "cukup jauh",  and "jauh" by using eight attributes are "nomor", "SMA", "kabupaten", "kecamatan", "kelurahan", "jarak", "asal SMP", and "class". The classification performed by using Naive Bayes using Weka tool. Distribution of training data and testing data is defferent as much as 20 times of testing, resulting in the highest accuracy Naive Bayes is 89.329% on distribution of 60% training data : 40% testing data. The data of students address and information classification results displayed in the form of digital map that is mapping of student's address in high school in the Pringsewu District.

Abstract

This research discusses about a simulating application for automatic coffee machine which can do processes of making 7 types of choices of drinks; coffee, milk, chocolate, coffee milk, coffee brown, mocha, and chocolate milk automatically. In this application, the concept of Finite State Automata (FSA) was applied to recognize and to capture the pattern on the process for making coffee drinks. In this application, Finite State Automata (FSA) was applied to read input symbols given from the starting state to the final state in order to get the language recognized by the machine. Further, the process will be done accordance with the read language.Keywords: Coffee Machine, Finite State Automata (FSA), Language and Automata Theory.

Abstract

Indonesia is an archipelago country that has a strategic geographical location with many ethnic groups. One way to preserve art and culture in Indonesia is to teach and introduce them to the next generation. Starting from elementary school children have been taught to know Indonesian arts and cultures from text books. Unfortunately, the learning is less interesting because the subjects are delivered in monotonous and conventional way. On this research, an interactive learning system is developed. The developed Web based-GIS system covers introduction of arts and cultures of 33 provinces in Indonesia. Data used in this research is obtained from art and culture book and the official website of Indonesian cultures. The system was implemented using softwares of ArcView, MapServer, MySQL database and PHP programming language. The research results showed that this learning system can provide information from each province in Indonesia based on the category selected by the user. This system can display  information in form of pictures of traditional houses and weapons and video of the related cultures. Moreover, this system also helps students to understand more the material by using  it’s quiz tool.

Abstract

Science is the study of nature and its surroundings, including the flora and fauna. Flora are plants that live in a particular habitat or area, while the fauna are animals that live in a particular habitat or area. At the elementary school level, students learn about the introduction of flora and fauna such as the characteristics, environmental habitat, breeding, and food type. During this time, elementary school students are introduced to flora and fauna only through book. In this research, the web-based bilingual teaching system of flora and fauna using Indonesian and English was developed for elementary school students. The system is built using waterfall methods with MySQL database and the PHP programming language. The system was created with the aim to help students get to know the flora and fauna in the surrounding environment and can increase the student’s knowledge of English.Keywords: fauna, flora, system.

Abstract

This research is developed a Household Information System based on website. Household information system created for Division of Customer’s Data and Information System in PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia II (Persero) Tanjung Priok. This division handles issues related to the application, network, and multimedia. This information system is created to resolve issues related to submission procedures of damage-handling and submission procedure of new item, so that users can be more efficient in the utilization of time, effort and cost in performing the procedures. This information system is created using PHP programming language. The sequence of process performed is starting from entering data to be submitted, the approval of stakeholders and printing data that have been approved. The result of Black Box testing on the system using Equivalence Partitioning method shows that the system is functioning well and accordance with user requirements. Keywords : Development of Information System, Information System for Household Division, Submission of Damage-Handling
