Abstract

Consumers' Willingness to Pay for C4 pulen rice produced by UD. Ratih in Bali is analyzed in this study, aiming to identify consumer characteristics and market segmentation, calculate WTP values, and evaluate influencing factors. Employing a quantitative approach with the Contingent Valuation Method (CVM) and SEM-PLS, data were collected from 100 UD. Ratih consumers through questionnaires and interviews. The findings reveal that consumers are predominantly young (20-24 years), highly educated (59%), with middle income (IDR 3,000,000-IDR 5,000,000), and no family dependents (53%). The highest WTP was recorded for 10 kg packaging (IDR 2,417/kg), with consumer income as the most significant factor (p=0.000), followed by product price (p=0.000) and product quality (p=0.004). The quality of C4 rice—such as its softness and aroma—is a major attraction, although market competition and price fluctuations remain challenges. This study recommends marketing strategies that highlight local quality and utilize digital-based promotions to expand market reach.

Abstract

Farmer groups act as learning classes, collaboration platform and production units. Welfare is the goal of farming families, where prosperity is the ability to meet the food and non-food needs of farming households and manage expenses. The aim of this research is to determine the level of the role of farmer groups and the welfare of their members, as well as to analyze the relationship between the role of farmer groups and the welfare of farmer group members in Banyu Abang Village, Teluk Batang District, North Kayong Regency. The population in this study was 360 members, with a sample size of 100 farmers. The data collection techniques used were direct observation and interviews with farmers. The data analysis used was Spearman's Rank Correlation analysis using IBM SPSS Statistics 23 software. The results of the study showed that the majority of farmers spent most of their income on food consumption, which reached 55.3% of total income and more than 70% of farmer family expenses were spent on food consumption, especially rice and daily necessities. Based on the results of the Spearman rank statistical test, Poktan's role as a learning class, collaboration vehicle, and production unit has a positive but weak relationship with the level of welfare of members. The correlation value between learning classes (0.307), collaboration platform (0.292), and production units (0.302) shows that although there is a positive relationship, the relationship to member welfare is not very strong. This means that although farmer groups can have a positive impact, their role has not been strong enough to significantly improve welfare.

An increasing number of women have joined cooperative organizations to boost their entrepreneurial activities. However, the question of whether cooperative membership enables significant support for entrepreneurial success of the women remain unanswered. The study examined the cooperative role of women engaged in the palm oil business in their entrepreneurship drive and determined the factors responsible for entrepreneurship orientation among women and their levels. Primary data were collected using a structured questionnaire. The respondents were purposively sampled. Descriptive statistics and a multiple regression model were used to analyze the data. The results showed that cooperative membership has a significant influence on entrepreneurship drive among palm oil sellers. Additionally, financial support has a significant influence on the entrepreneurship traits of the women palm oil traders. The findings also indicate that the orientation of women toward risk-taking and business aggressiveness is high. Abstract

Indonesia possesses significant potential for agritourism development, supported by its abundant natural resources, cultural richness, and largeagricultural workforce. Despite this, various challenges—such as limitedinfrastructure, insufficient farmer skills, weak promotion, and poor stakeholdercollaboration—continue to impede progress. This study analyzes existingliterature on agritourism in Indonesia using a qualitative content analysisgrounded in bibliometric data. The analysis draws on Scopus-indexedpublications from 2014 to 2025, retrieved using keywords: (“Agritourism” or“Agro-tourism” or “Agrotourism” or “Farm tourism” or “Agricultural tourism”)and “Indonesia”. The data were processed with VOSviewer and Biblioshiny toexamine keyword relationships, publication trends, and emerging researchthemes. Results show Indonesia is the second most studied country inagritourism, with 94 articles—after the United States (181) and Italy (106). Anotable increase in publications was observed post-COVID-19 (2020–2025).Following abstract screening, 78 relevant articles were included in thebibliometric analysis. Co-occurrence analysis identified five main keywordclusters, reflecting the dominant themes in the field. The study synthesizes theseclusters to outline the conceptual structure of agritourism research in Indonesia.Findings suggest that future studies should focus on enhancing communityparticipation in development of agritourism.

Abstract

The resilience of entrepreneurial capacity was crucial for young agripreneurs in facing the challenges of uncertainty, such as climate change and economic fluctuations. Institutional capacity and the adoption of appropriate technology enabled adaptation and innovation, enhancing competitiveness and sustainability, although this relationship has not yet been explored in-depth. This study aimed to analyze the influence of environmental uncertainty on the resilience of young agripreneurs, with institutional capacity and the adoption of appropriate technology serving as mediating variables. This research utilized primary data collected through questionnaires distributed to 110 respondents, consisting of upstream-to-downstream coffee agripreneurs in Jember Regency, using purposive sampling. Data analysis was performed using SEM-PLS. The results showed that environmental uncertainty significantly influenced institutional capacity, the adoption of appropriate technology, and business resilience, with positive coefficients for all three and p-values below 0.05. Institutional capacity also positively affected the adoption of appropriate technology and business resilience. Moreover, institutional capacity moderated the impact of environmental uncertainty on the adoption of appropriate technology, while uncertainty, through institutional capacity and the adoption of appropriate technology, positively affected the resilience of young agripreneurs.

Abstract

Research on the economic structure and shifts of the food crop commodities in South Lampung Regency is important to identify local potential that can be optimized to support regional food sovereignty. This study specifically aims to determine the leading commodities within the food crop subsector that should be prioritized for regional development. The research uses secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) and the Department of Food Crops, Horticulture, and Plantations of South Lampung Regency, focusing on soybean, sweet potato, maize, mung bean, rice, peanut, and cassava as the main food crops distributed across 17 districts, forming 119 commodity–district observation units. The methods used to identify the structure of food crop commodities in the economy of South Lampung Regency include the location quotient, dynamic location quotient, localization index, and specialization index, while the shift-share analysis was applied to examine the economic shifts of food crop commodities. Additionally, Klassen typology was used to classify commodity–district combinations into four quadrants. The results of the economic structure analysis show that 25 observation units fall into the base and prospective categories, with rice in Candipuro District and cassava in Jati Agung District also showing distinct concentration and characteristics. Based on the results of the economic shift analysis, rice in Candipuro District ranks highest in terms of growth and competitiveness, thus being designated as the region’s leading commodity that can serve as a foundation for sustainable agricultural development planning and the strengthening of national food sovereignty.

Abstract

Large red chili is a high value horticultural commodity that plays a vital role in meeting Indonesia's food demands, both for domestic consumption and industrial purposes. The high production rate of red chili corresponds with increasing consumer needs, influenced by diverse preferences that shape purchasing behavior, perceptions, and decisions. This study aims to identify the attributes most considered by consumers and analyze the combinations of large red chili attributes based on consumer preferences in Bandung City. A quantitative descriptive method was employed using questionnaires, with perceptual mapping applied to evaluate consumer perceptions and conjoint analysis used to determine consumer preferences. The findings reveal that consumer perceptions of price and freshness attributes tend to be neutral, with average scores of 3 on a Likert scale. Meanwhile, shelf life, taste, and color are perceived positively, with average scores of 4. Regarding preferences, consumers prioritize a combination of affordable prices (<Rp20,000.00/kg), high shelf life (5–6 days), very fresh conditions, mildly spicy taste, and bright red color. Among all attributes, freshness is identified as the most critical factor based on its relative importance in shaping consumer preferences.
