Abstract

Designing Psychiatric Hospital in Semarang City is motivated by the imbalance between the capacity of the number of psychiatric hospital beds compared to the number of cases of mental illness visits in one year in the city, the lack of adequate mental hospital that already exists, and the problems that arise from the lack of effectiveness of the healing process in conventional mental hospital. The purpose of this issue is to obtain a mental hospital design that can address the needs of all people with mental disorders all around ex-residentie of Semarang and support the healing process of patients with mental disorders. The design problem is: how to apply architectural elements that can provide a positive influence on the psychological aspects of building users. The method used is based on the concept of healing environments. The result obtained is a psychiatric hospital that makes architectural elements as a part of the healing process. Keywords: Psychiatric hospital, healing environment.

Abstract

National Program for Community Empowerment (NPCE ) Tourism Unit is a new program for poverty alleviation in the region Surakarta. Issues that arise in the village Sondakan, Laweyan and Village Mojosongo was once a thriving  get a lot of government programs to poverty due to the potential tourist. Interaction between local communities and the tourists and immigrants affect the level of community participation. This study used a descriptive analysis of quantitative analysis tool is used is a Likert Scale to determine the level of community participation and analysis tools SPSS 17 is used to determine the factors that affect participation. The results showed that the force participation is given at all stages of PNPM Tourism Unit, mind and material donations given to the planning and implementation as well as participation in the form of money given in the stage of implementation and utilization. The level of community participation is quite high. Internal factors that affect the shape and the level of community participation is a factor the type of work, level of income, level of education and public knowledge factor. While external factors that affect the shape and the level of community participation is the city government, village government, LKM and facilitator. For that to the Surakarta City Government is expected to continue to provide support to the development of city infrastructure to ensure the maintenance of continuous functions of tourist infrastructure facilities and infrastructure that has been built. The role of government as a facilitator has become imperative in implementing a program, so that the government needs to increase capacity in the field of technical facilitators. Keywords: Community Empowerment, Participation, PNPM Tourism Unit in Surakarta

Abstract

Every citizen who lived in settlements will definitely produce garbage, therefore the volume of waste continues to increase every time. While the final disposal is provided having a limited capacity, so that we waste management at the community level needs to be improved so that the amount of waste that goes to landfill can be reduced. Waste management at the community level is also done in Surodadi, Siswodipuran and Perum Bumi Singkil Permai (BSP) I, Karanggeneng, Boyolali. But to these two regions have different treatment in processing waste. The problem in this research is about how are the relations between the residential character and the community participation in waste management. The methos used is the methos of description that describes the relationship between the two factors through the depiction of the results of observations, questionnaires and interviews. The results of this study are the difference in terms of residential character, wate management system and participation from the community in garbage penelolaan in both regions. Economic conditions have relation with the community participation in the management of household waste. Livelihood, social, and cultural interactions taht evolve shown to has a relation with the community participation in the management of household waste. The level of income and education levels have no connection with participation from the community in waste management. Keyword : Community Participation, Residentials, Waste Management

Abstract

Design of Boyolali Milk Centre are motivated by the low numbers of milk consumption, the relatively low price of milk from dairy farmers to collectors, the lack of public knowledge processing technology products, and waste treatment. The mission of this project is to develop a major potential Boyolali to attract people who are still low in the milk through educational tours, so as to raise the living standards of farmers to absorb the results of local milk, milk-based industry to develop products, and as one of the tourist facilities that concept green (green). Design objectives are: to design a building that can facilitate information, educational tours, and marketing of milk based on the concept of Green Architecture. Design issues are: how the concept of green architecture can be translated to the expression of design forms an attractive building, reflecting the dynamic character of the milk, and contextuality of the environment (eco-friendly). The method used is a method of designing the Green Architecture (Green Architecture). The results obtained in the form of the design of an educational tour of the building named Boyolali Milk Centre which has never existed, consisting of dairy information center, museum milk, green pilot model dairy farm, green farm, mini plant / milk-based agro-industry, marketing center in the form of resto and milk shop, as well as play and sports facilities. Keywords: Education Travel, Green Architecture, Information Center, Milk Centre.
