Abstract

Detection of objects in an image 2 dimensional is a process which is quite complex to do. Object detection required a computer vision approach to the desired part of the object can be recognizable computer accurately. The method in this research using waterfall method. This research will describe the application of color segmentation method with the color detection of a digital image to produce image segment object in the form of blob so that the computer can be detected. The object detection process will process the resulting color segment by the process of segmentation so that can know the number of detected objects, the area and the center of the object. This application can take pictures with laptop or notebook webcam. The result of color segmentation based on color detection is strongly influenced by color samples and color tolerance values to which the segmentation process is based. Lighting, location, texture, and contour of objects or background image will greatly affect the results of segmentation and object detection.

Abstract

This is a line follower robot is a robot designed to assist humans in activities such as throw away trash in the shopping center. On robot sensors added a line that consists of photodiode and LED.  The robot will walk follows the path which has been given a different color (black and white) to be detected by the sensor lines at the location of the junk-filled tubs and tubs of the empty trash. The research aims to know the performance of the sensor lines and the movement of the robot with the research method using PID. The results of this study when the distance between the sensor and the surface of 5 cm – 7 cm then the performance of the sensor surface in distinguishing the line of black and white still work fine, while at a distance of 8 cm – 10 cm sensor line performance diminished. For setting the PID, P = 10 will result averaged a greater error value i.e. 9.9 so the robot will move fast but unstable, while P = 5 align the median value error – i.e. 8 so the robot will move stable (as black)

Abstract

In several locations, the security system is becoming a priority. One of the location is the laboratory. There are many valuable research tools and equipment in the laboratory, so to improve the security system. Generally, the access to entry the laboratory is equipped with a digital safety system. Computer Control System Laboratory at Information Technology Department of Jember State Polytechnic uses RFID-Card as access right for entrance to the laboratory. RFID-Card also functions as ID-Card (printed with photo and biodata) and packaged to fit in user clothes pocket. However, using RFID gives less of flexibility. The user must remove the ID-Card and attach the card to the RFID reader box. Therefore, in this study will design a door lock security system based on the image processing to replace the use of RFID. Later, the user simply positions themselves in the Pi Camera work area. Processed data from the camera, the matched with image data which stored in the database. The database contains a photo of laboratory members which listed on the employee ID-Card. Template matching method is used as image matching method which stored in Raspberry Pi database. If the image which captured by camera is matched with the image data in the database, the controller will give entry access to the user. Based on the experimental results, template matching method has a success rate of 96%.
