Abstract

In several locations, the security system is becoming a priority. One of the location is the laboratory. There are many valuable research tools and equipment in the laboratory, so to improve the security system. Generally, the access to entry the laboratory is equipped with a digital safety system. Computer Control System Laboratory at Information Technology Department of Jember State Polytechnic uses RFID-Card as access right for entrance to the laboratory. RFID-Card also functions as ID-Card (printed with photo and biodata) and packaged to fit in user clothes pocket. However, using RFID gives less of flexibility. The user must remove the ID-Card and attach the card to the RFID reader box. Therefore, in this study will design a door lock security system based on the image processing to replace the use of RFID. Later, the user simply positions themselves in the Pi Camera work area. Processed data from the camera, the matched with image data which stored in the database. The database contains a photo of laboratory members which listed on the employee ID-Card. Template matching method is used as image matching method which stored in Raspberry Pi database. If the image which captured by camera is matched with the image data in the database, the controller will give entry access to the user. Based on the experimental results, template matching method has a success rate of 96%.

Abstract

The difficulty with parallel parking, especially when going backwards is when adjusting the steering wheel so that the car can park in the right direction. Based on these problems, this study aims to design an automatic parking system. To improve parking success, a trajectory tracking system with fuzzy logic control will be implemented on a 1/7.5 scale test car. The coordinates obtained from the bicycle kinematic model are compared with the design trajectory. The difference between the facing direction read by the gyroscope sensor and the trajectory design is processed using a fuzzy logic controller to direct the servo motor as the steering wheel. The test results obtained that the error value for the position and direction facing in the automatic parking test using fuzzy logic control is 1.25cm and 1.59°.Keywords: Trajectory tracking, gyroscope, fuzzy logic control, parallel parking

Abstract

One of the potential marine resources that can develop the economy is fisheries. Fishery potential in Indonesia is estimated at 7.3 million tons per year. However, the community has only utilized the empowerment of fish potential so far, only 80%. Therefore we need a processing business that can extend the shelf life while increasing the added value of fishery products. One of the processing processes that can preserve longevity is the canning process. Canning can be interpreted as processing using a sterilization temperature that aims to save the food material from the spoilage process. In a previous study, mini exhausting equipment was developed to produce fish in cans with a capacity of 200 115mL cans. A temperature monitoring system is needed during the exhausting process to ensure quality. Therefore, in this study, a desktop application-based monitoring system was created to display and store temperature data during the exhausting process.

Abstract

Kabupaten Jember memiliki beberapa komunitas hidroponik, salah satunya dikelola oleh Rumahku Hidroponik Jember. Permintaan sayur hidroponik tergolong tinggi, namun Rumahku Hidroponik Jember sendiri hanya mampu mensuplai kurang lebih 30an persen dari total keseluruhan yang dapat disuplai komunitas. Adanya berbagai permasalahan ini, menuntut dibutuhkannya berbagai upaya agar kegiatan hidroponik yang telah dilakukan sebelumnya dapat berjalan lebih baik lagi dengan aplikasi teknologi yang berbasis Contactless technology. Metode dan tahapan dalam penerapan teknologi meliputi (1) Pemberdayaan SDM dan pengembangan keterampilan Teknologi Smart Greenhouse Berbasis IoT, (2)Pembuatan dan penerapan Teknologi Smart Greenhouse Berbasis IoT, (3) Pelatihan, pendampingan dan transfer teknologi dalam penggunaan sistem informasi terintegrasi berbasis aplikasi Android dan aplikasi e-commerce, (4) Pendampingan dan monitoring penerapan teknologi oleh mitra sebagai tindak lanjut keberlangsungan kegiatan. Hasil dari program ini diketahui dapat meningkatkan produktivitas tanaman sebesar 50%, menurunkan biaya produksi sebesar 40%, serta effisiensi kerja sebesar 80%.

Abstract

A study has been conducted to utilize lemuru fish into fish meal products. This study aims to determine the appropriate processing method for the manufacture of lemuru fish meal products and to determine the physicochemical characteristics of lemuru fish meal. Lemuru fish are processed into fish meal with three different processing treatments, namely boiling, pressure steaming, and using temperature of 50˚C and 60˚C in each processing. The fish meal obtained was analyzed with parameters of water content, ash content, fat content, protein content and degree of whiteness according to the Indonesian National Standard SNI 01-2715-1996. The result of this study indicate that the best results from lemuru fish meal in the analysis of water content are boiling treatment with mabu 60˚C (5,24%), ash content of 50˚C temperature treatment (3,99%), protein content of 60˚C boiling treatment (49,41%), the fat content of the sub-boiling treatment was 60˚C (7%), and the degree of whiteness of the presto treatment been carried out is the boiling treatment using a temperature of 60˚C.

Abstract

Improper processing of soymilk, such as soybean raw materials, use of well water, and use of cooking vessels, produces soymilk that does not meet SNI standards. These conditions can contaminate soymilk with harmful metals. The purpose of this study was to measure the nutritional quality and metal content of soymilk produced using aluminum and stainless steel cooking vessels. The research was descriptive and was conducted in July 2022. Analytical tests were carried out by comparing the nutritional content in the form of total protein, fat, lactose, and solid non-fat (SNF), and analyzing the heavy metal content. The results showed that the contents of Pb, Cu, and Hg in soy milk processed with stainless steel were lower than those of aluminum, from 11,494 ppm to 2,706 ppm, 114,612 ppm to 10,211 ppm, and 0,372 ppm to 0,012 ppm, respectively.  The contents of Zn and As in soymilk with stainless steel were higher than those treated with aluminum, from 884,585 ppm to 73,616 ppm and from 0,107 ppm to 0,079 ppm, respectively. Cooking water also contributed 0,055; 0,044; 0,028, and 0,156 ppm to the heavy metal content of Pb, Cu, Zn, Hg, and As, respectively. In conclusion, the use of stainless steel in soymilk processing resulted in better nutritional quality and lower heavy metal content compared to aluminum.

Abstract

The application of technology in the livestock sector has been carried out to increase the productivity of the livestock business. Closed chicken coops are one of the applications of technology in the livestock sector by utilizing a microcontroller that can control the temperature and ammonia levels in the coop under optimal conditions for fattening chickens. When the temperature rises (hot), the system set on the microcontroller will make the fan turn on automatically. This study aims to improve the offline and semi-manual fan control system in closed chicken coops to become automatic. By utilizing Internet of Things (IoT)-based technology, monitoring the condition of the chicken coop can be more easily accessed remotely. The method uses the if-then rule to regulate fan performance based on variable temperature and ammonia levels. The fan work set-point value can be set through the Android application online. Based on the test results, the IoT system treatment can work well. A consumer satisfaction survey was conducted on breeders with satisfactory results to ensure their feasibility as a commercial product.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memantau pertumbuhan tanaman selada dalam farmbot dengan menggunakan YOLOv3 untuk deteksi tanaman dan regresi polinomial orde ketiga untuk prediksi berat. YOLOv3 mendeteksi tanaman, sementara regresi polinomial memperkirakan berat berdasarkan luas piksel YOLOv3. penelitian ini menggunakan aplikasi mobile untuk memantau berat tanaman, visualisasi gambar, dan mengakses data pertumbuhan harian. Ini memiliki potensi untuk meningkatkan efisiensi pemantauan tanaman dan menyediakan data historis untuk pemahaman komprehensif perkembangan tanaman. Penelitian ini mencapai akurasi 2,9% untuk regresi polinomial dan 98,6% untuk YOLOv3, menunjukkan efektivitas dalam prediksi berat dan deteksi untuk Pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang berat tanaman dan pemantauan yang akurat memungkinkan pengambilan keputusan yang berinformasi untuk panen yang lebih baik dan keberlanjutan pertanian.
