Abstract

Repeated failures of critical equipment at power generation facilities can significantly disrupt operations and reduce system availability. In 2023, PT X's Block 1 Unit A Combined Cycle Power Plant recorded its lowest Equivalent Availability Factor (EAF) of 84.95% due to repeated failures of several critical components. Previous studies have identified these equipment failures and analyzed their reliability levels. This study aims to develop mitigation scenarios to reduce operational risks using Event Tree Analysis (ETA). ETA uses failure probabilities from previous reliability assessments as initiating events to model potential event sequences and evaluate their consequences. The results show that each tool generates between 4 and 16 scenario pathways, depending on the number of mitigation programs. All proposed mitigation scenarios successfully reduced the overall risk level to “Low” across all seven critical pieces of equipment. This study concludes that ETA provides an effective way to systematically organize mitigation efforts based on failure probability and consequence analysis. The contribution of this study is the development of a scenario-based mitigation framework using ETA to support decision-making and enhance operational reliability at combined-cycle power plants.

Abstract

Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) companies face significant challenges in completing aircraft maintenance projects on time and within budget. The existing gap lies in the optimization of planning methods integration to minimize project duration and cost. This study aims to assess the balance between time and cost in aircraft maintenance projects by showing the benefits of combining CPM, PERT, and Linear Programming. Data were obtained from the A02-CHECK activity at a national MRO company. CPM and PERT were used to find the critical path and estimate project duration, while LP was used to optimize time and cost on that path. The project duration decreased from 6,199 to 4,547 minutes, with the critical path in activities A-C-E-G-H and an 84.13% success probability. Using LP, the duration dropped further to 4,090 minutes at a total cost of $202. It can be concluded that the integration of these three methods is effective in accelerating projects without exceeding the budget. The main contribution of this research is the development of an integrated approach to aircraft maintenance project planning which can capable of reducing the risk of delays and budget overruns. in addition, it also provides practical solutions for MRO companies

Abstract

Intense competition in the beauty clinic industry requires consistent service quality improvement because customer satisfaction determines loyalty and business sustainability. Service marketing literature confirms that perceived service quality can be measured through ServQual; however, studies integrating ServQual, Importance Performance Analysis (IPA), and Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) in beauty clinic settings remain limited. This gap motivates the present study to analyze priority service attributes at Larissa Aesthetic Center Darmo. The objectives are to evaluate service quality, identify improvement priorities, and measure customer satisfaction levels. The study employed a quantitative approach with correlational, comparative, and associative designs involving 85 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using Likert-scale questionnaires that met validity and reliability standards. The findings reveal a service conformity level of 93.96%, although several ServQual dimensions still showed negative gaps. IPA positioned facility comfort and staff professionalism in the main priority quadrant, while a CSI score of 85.09% indicated very high customer satisfaction. The main insight suggests that high overall satisfaction does not eliminate specific service weaknesses. This study contributes practical data-driven guidance for clinic management, while its originality lies in integrating three measurement tools within the beauty clinic context.

Abstract

This study examines the integration of structural performance analysis and occupational accident risk assessment in a multi-storey building project using a quantitative approach based on nonlinear pushover analysis and FMEA. Structural evaluation is commonly conducted separately from safety risk analysis, resulting in non-integrated technical decision-making and risk control. This study aims to identify the seismic performance of the structure and determine accident risk priorities based on the Risk Priority Number (RPN). Nonlinear pushover analysis was performed using ETABS to obtain drift and base shear values; risk evaluation applied FMEA (Severity, Occurrence, Detection); and root causes were analyzed using a Fishbone Diagram. The maximum drift reached 216.317 mm with a base shear of 45,737.96 kN (Infilled Frame, Y-direction) and 206.337 mm with 10,199.32 kN (Open Frame, Y-direction). The highest risk occurred in foundation work with an RPN of 174,857.14. Strengthening lower-storey stiffness and implementing performance-based high-priority risk control are required. This research proposes an integrated evaluation model linking structural response and construction safety risk management quantitatively and systematically.
