Abstract

The studyaimed at discovering thedescription of themanagementof facilities and infrastructure of learning based onnational Standard at SMKN 1 in Jeneponto. The resultsof the study revealed that the management of facilities and infrastructure at SMKN 1consisted of (1) the managementof facilities and infrastructureof learning,(2) The standardization of facilities and infrastructure had not been appropriate in supporting a better learning prosess based, and(3) the in hibiting factors of the procurement of facilities and infrastructure were lack of fund to fulfill the needs of facilities and infrastructure and limited land which could be used as a place to store the facililities to be used; whereas the supporting factors were the students and teachers which could be used asthe reason to have the facilities and infrastructure as well as the funding.

Abstract

This research aims to know the role of the head of school as an academic supervisor in improving the performance of the teacher in Tempe, Wajo Kabutaen 200 SDN. This research is quantitative descriptive research. The population in this study all existing master class in SDN 200 Tempe Wajo Regency as many as 12 people. Sampling Sampling technique of research with saturated, is a technique to determine the sample when all members of a population is used as a sample. Research instrument in the form of the now, interview, danobservasi. The research found the principal role as academic supervisor was further intensified and improved performance on increasing teacher SDN 200 Tempe Tempeh subdistrict of Wajo Regency. Reverse when the less intensive implementation roles the head of the school as academic supervisor, then increasingly did not develop performance teacher at SDN 200 Tempe, Tempe, Wajo Regency Subdistrict. Furthermore when r count should be referred to the table value r, retrieved r count categorized qualitatively on the extent the very strong correlation between 0.800 – 1.000. Finally, it is recommended to all heads of school as an academic supervisor at SDN 200 Tempe Tempeh subdistrict of Wajo Regency further enhance its role in the future, so that the citizens of the school and school Committee (community and parents of students) more concerned and actively participate in an effort to improve the quality of education.

Abstract

Indonesian economic development vision in 2025 is to create a Indonesian society which are independent, progressive, fair and prosperous. To achieve that mission, the government compile a master plan acceleration and expansion of Indonesia's economic development ( MP3EI) which include the increasing of adding value and expanding the value chain of production and distribution processes of asset management and access (potential) natural resources, geographic regions and human resources, through creation of an integrated economic activity and synergy within and between regional centers of economic growth. The concept of a region's economic growth become keyword of MP3EI has implications for human resources to support the process of innovation and providing skilled manpower. Based on approach to labor planning needs, it can be formulated in the number, type and qualification of human resources necessary for the economic development of Indonesia.

Abstract

The study aims at examining the forms of discipline on teachers’ work, factors which influence it, and the functions of leadership of the principal to discipline teachers work.The study is a qualitative research with a case study. The study was conducted at SMKN Labuang in Polewali Mandar distirct. The Informants of the study were the principal, vice principal and teacher. Data were collected through interview, observation, and documentation. Data were analyzed by employing qualitative analysis using interactive model or Miles and Huberman’s model.The results of the study revealed that (i) the forms of discipline on teacher’s work at SMKN Labuang in Polewali Mandardistrict were preventive disciplie in forms of suggestion and afirmatife message, and correctivediscipline in forms of verbal reprimand, written reprimand, and incentive cuts; howefer, the form of discipline implemented by the principal of SMKN Labuang in Polewali Mandar district was preventive discipline, (ii) factors which caused teachers of SMKN Labuang in Polewali Mandar district lack of discipline were the internal and external factors. The internal factors were lack of competence of teacher’s personal, lack of good time management, and ignorance of time; whereas, the external factors were transportation,family, office demand, and leadership style of the principal, and (iii) the functions of leadership of the principal of SMKN Labuang to discipline teachers’ work were implementing the functions of instructive, delegative, consultative, participative leadership, and controlling function; however, the leadership function which generally implemented was instructive function.Manusia merupakan makhluk sosial yang diciptakan untuk berinteraksi

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the implementation of Management Information Systems (MIS)-based Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Website In South Sulawesi province that includes: managing input data, process data management, output management / information, as well as the factors supporting and inhibiting the Management Information Systems (MIS) Based Website at the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs in South Sulawesi. The results showed that the Management Information Systems (MIS) based Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Website In South Sulawesi province in terms of data management to information as a public disclosure has been made, but not optimally, the management of data processing has been applied, but its realization is not maximized, output management / information has been accomplished, but not maximum, as well as supporting and inhibiting factors not fully in line with expectations.

Abstract

The regulation of the Ministry of National Education Number 22 year 2006 concerning content standard stated that the local content is an integral part of the structure of curriculum at the level of elementary and secondary education. Based on the fact that Indonesia is a unity state which consist of a variety of distric with various geographical condition, natural sources, and its people (human resources) with different history backgrounds and culture. The development of local content curriculum in public vocational School in Majene distric focuses on the internal and external supports, thedecision of the types lokal content, and the supporting and inhibiting fktors in the development process of local content curriculum, so this study aims at analyzing the development, the determination as well as the supporting and inhibiting factor on the implementation of local content curriculum in public vocation schools in Majene district.The study is a descriptive research which reveals the problem solving of the main problems based on the data and obtained documents. The study was conducted in in public vocation schools in Majene district. The focus of the study was the development of department as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors on the implementation of local content curriculum in public vocation schools in Majene district. The instruments used in the study were interview and observation. Data were collected using observation technique, interview techniques, documentation technique, analyzing data arrangement, and classification of data. Data processing was conducted to test the hypothesis which had been formulated. Descriptive analysis was conducted to discover the description of data based on each variable to draw conclusions.The results of the study reveal that the development process of local content curriculum in public vocation schools in Majene district was not approriate with the technical procedure of the development of local content curriculum for vocational school 2010. In determining the types of subjects which contain the local content, the Vocational Schools in Majene generally decided directly without appropriate procedure, but it was based on the needs and the interest of the schools. The inhibiting factors was lack of participation from the people and parents in giving some thoughs in education. Moreover, lack of fasility and infrastructure, lack of evaluation on curriculum, teachers, competence which not appropriate to the subject matter made the objective of the study unachievable.

Abstract

Learning is an integral part of the educational process. A good or quality learning process determines the realization of educational goals. The objectives of this research are: To investigate the implementation of learning management that focuses on four problems: (1) learning planning, (2) learning strategies, (3) evaluation of learning, and (4) supporting factors and obstacles in learning at Tolitoli SDN 4. The results showed: (a) Learning management was carried out through four stages: planning stage, strategy stage, evaluation stage and supporting and inhibiting factors. In each stage. The main stage of the implementation is oriented to the quality of learning in an inspiring, fun, challenging, motivating students to actively participate, as well as providing sufficient space for initiative, creativity, and independence, (b) Efforts made by the teacher to improve the quality of learning, (c) Supporting factors for the management of learning quality improvement are: parental support for learning facilities and the principal's leadership model, (d) As for what is problematic among others, the assumption that learning is difficult and student motivation is lacking.

Abstract

The study aims to examining, school climat, student discipline toward learning achievement in classes XI Students at Public Vocational School (SMKN) 1 Jeneponto. This type of the study  a descriptive research, which categorized as quantitative research. The quantitative is meant to test hypotheses and operation of variable. The variables consists of three variables : namely school climate (X1) students discipline (X2), as independent variable, and student achievement as the dependent variable.The population of the study was grade XI at SMKN Jeneponto academic year 2011/2012 whit the total number 420 students. The samples were selected by using simple random sampling which obtained  126 students. Data were  collected trough  questionnaire and  documentation. Data were then analyzed by employing descriptive statistic and  inferential statistics. The results of the study reveal that school climate is categorized as medium, students’ discipline of grade XI at SMK 1 Jeneponto is categorized as high, the and students’ learning achievement is categorized as fair. Other than  school climate, student  discipline gives influence toward students learning, achievement both individually and collaboratively.

Abstract

Teacher performance in school organizations is basically determined by the ability and willingness of teachers to participate in supporting the teaching and learning process. This factor is the potential of teachers to be able to carry out their tasks to support the needs of educational facilities in schools. The purpose of this study was to determine teacher learning planning at SMA Negeri 1 Malua, Enrekang Regency. The location of this research is at SMA Negeri 1 Malua, Enrekang Regency. The main data sources in this study are the Principal, Physics Teacher and Students. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The collected data was then analyzed with qualitative descriptive methods, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The results showed that the Planning of Teacher Learning in SMA Negeri 1 Malua, Enrekang Regency which included formulating objectives, choosing the priority of the material to be taught, choosing and using methods, selecting and using existing learning resources, choosing and using learning media that had run according to the rules.

Abstract

Supervision Functions of the principals in improving elementary school teachers’ performance in bontoala subdistrict of Makassar. The study aimed at describing the steps on the implementation of supervision in terms of supervision plan, supervision implementation, and follow-up supervision as well as the principal in improving teachers` performance. The study employed qualitative research method. The study was conducted at SDN Baraya 2 Makassar and SDN laying 1 Makassar in Bontoala subdistrict in Makassar. Data were collected through interview, observation, and documentation. Data were analyzed by conducting data collection, data reduction, data display, and data verification by conclusion drawing. The result of the study revealed that the supervision functions of the principals at SDN Baraya 2 Makassar and SDN Layang 1 Makassar which consisted of supervision plan, supervision implementatation, and follow-up supervision as well as the efforts conducted in improving teachers’ performanc had not been implemented maximally based on supervision competence dimension of the principals.
