The SOSIOHUMANIKA journal has been organized and published by Minda Masagi Press, a publishing house owned by ASPENSI (the Association of Indonesian Scholars of History Education) in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. The SOSIOHUMANIKA journal is published every May and November. The SOSIOHUMANIKA journal is devoted, but not limited to, Social Sciences education, Humanities education, and any new development and advancement in the field of Humanities and Social Sciences education. Abstract

ABSTRACT: Education is a main factor for shaping of the strong nation, self-sufficient, independent, and dignified. By making education a major component, the strength of a nation, namely the Human Resources (HR), will be on top of other components. Meanwhile, the teacher is an educator and producer who scored the strength of human resources through the school institutions, both formal and non-formal, ranging from early childhood education to higher education levels, as well as spearhead for educational success. Teacher professional certification program in Indonesia, which gives the teachers’ financial increased impact, should in line with the quality and quantity of teacher performance productivity. Therefore, the model of IPED (Integrated Performance Educators Development) becomes an alternative model to measure the level of success of professional teachers in Indonesia. Results of this model is to find the IPPKG (“Indeks Prestasi Produktivitas Kinerja Guru” or Achievement Index of Teacher Performance Productivity), in which if the grade is above 0.7, then the teacher is said to be worth as a professional teacher. Conversely, if the grade of IPPKG is below 0.7, then the teacher is said to be less viable as a professional teacher; and, therefore, should improve the quality and quantity of productivity performance in order to be productive and professional teachers.KEY WORD: Model of IPED, achievement index of teacher performance productivity, teacher certification program, work productivity, professional teachers, and the feasibility of a professional teacher. RESUME: “Pengembangan Model IPED sebagai Upaya untuk Meningkatkan Produktivitas Kinerja bagi Guru-guru Tersertifikasi di Indonesia”. Pendidikan merupakan faktor utama untuk membentuk bangsa yang kuat, berdikari, mandiri, dan bermartabat. Dengan menjadikan pendidikan sebagai komponen utama, maka kekuatan suatu bangsa, yaitu Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM), akan berada di atas komponen lainnya. Sementara itu, guru merupakan pendidik dan produsen yang mencetak kekuatan SDM melalui lembaga sekolah, baik formal maupun non-formal, mulai dari tingkat pendidikan usia dini sampai tingkat pendidikan tinggi, serta menjadi ujung tombak bagi keberhasilan pendidikan. Program sertifikasi profesional guru di Indonesia, yang memberikan dampak peningkatan finansial guru, seharusnya sejalan dengan kualitas dan kuantitas produktivitas kinerja guru. Karena itu, model IPED (“Integrated Performance Educators Development” atau Pengembangan Pendidik Berkinerja Terintegrasi) menjadi sebuah model alternatif untuk mengukur tingkat keberhasilan guru yang profesional di Indonesia. Hasil dari model ini adalah untuk mencari IPPKG (Indeks Prestasi Produktivitas Kinerja Guru), yang mana jika nilainya di atas 0.7, maka guru tersebut dikatakan layak sebagai guru profesional. Sebaliknya, jika nilai IPPKG di bawah 0.7, maka guru tersebut dikatakan kurang layak sebagai guru profesional; dan, karenanya, harus meningkatkan kualitas dan kuantitas produktivitas kinerjanya agar menjadi guru yang produktif dan profesional.KATA KUNCI: Model IPED, indeks prestasi produktivitas kinerja guru, program sertifikasi guru, produktivitas kerja, guru profesional, dan kelayakan guru profesional.About the Author: Dr. M. Abstract

ABSTRACT: The research is aimed at studying heterogeneity in Torajan ritual speech through the process of entextualization. The research shows that in the event of speaking by a single speaker, there occurs the process of the decontextualized text segments from other genres of prose narrative, such as historical narratives, myths, legends, and poetic argumentation, which is then recontextualized in the present performance. The method used is participant observation. The field notes are analyzed from domain, taxonomic, componential, and thematic analysis. The techniques used are recording, videotaping, and field notes. The research has two findings: ethnographic and academic. Ethnographically, it is found that the Torajan ritual speech spoken by a single speaker, the “tomina”, is actually heterogeneous. Theoretically, it shows that homogeneity in language is tenable only if evaluation is based on grammar. However, this research is able to show the heterogeneity in Torajan ritual speech. The sources of the texts are “retteng”, poetic argumentation, and the myth of “Tulang Didi”. The values of the three forms of life, such as human beings, animals, and plants, are found. From this appear, the harmonious relations between human and God, human and human, human and animals, and human and plants. These values may contribute to the nation’s character building.KEY WORD: Heterogeneity, metalinguistic awareness, entextualization, ritual speech, nation’s character building, and Toraja people. RESUME: “Heterogenitas dalam Tuturan Ritual Toraja: Kesadaran Metabahasa dan Pembangunan Karakter Bangsa”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari heterogenitas dalam tuturan ritual di Toraja lewat proses entekstualisasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam peristiwa tutur yang dilakukan oleh seorang penutur terjadi proses dekontekstualisasi segmen teks dari jenis-jenis narasi prosa, seperti narasi historis, mitos, legenda, dan argumentasi puitik yang direkontekstualisasikan ke dalam performansi sekarang. Metode yang dipakai adalah observasi partisipan. Hasil catatan lapangan dianalisis dari sudut domain, taksonomik, komponensial, dan tematis. Teknik penelitian yang dipakai adalah rekaman, video, dan catatan lapangan. Ada dua hasil penelitian: etnografi dan akademik. Secara etnografis, tuturan ritual Toraja yang dituturkan oleh satu orang, “tomina”, sebenarnya heterogen. Secara teoretis, diketengahkan bahwa homogenitas dalam bahasa hanya bisa dipertahankan kalau dilihat dari sudut tata bahasa. Namun, penelitian memperlihatkan heterogenitas dalam tuturan ritual Toraja. Sumber-sumber teks adalah “retteng”, argumen puitik, dan ceritera Tulang Didi. Ditemukan nilai-nilai tiga pucuk kehidupan, seperti manusia, hewan, dan tanaman. Nilai-nilai ini memperlihatkan relasi antara manusia dengan Yang Kuasa, manusia dan manusia, manusia dan hewan, serta manusia dengan tanaman. Abstract

RESUME: Permasalahan pengemis adalah fenomena umum yang terjadi dalam kawasan perkotaan di berbagai belahan dunia. Fenomena ini juga terjadi di Kota Banda Aceh, Indonesia. Peningkatan jumlah pengemis telah menjadi masalah sosial yang belum terselesaikan di Kota Banda Aceh. Fenomena ini semakin merisaukan, karena adanya pemanfaatan anak untuk menjalankan aktivitas mengemis, meskipun anak-anak tersebut seharusnya sedang mengenyam pendidikan di sekolah. Tujuan kajian yang dijalankan ini adalah untuk mengetahui penyebab anak memilih menjadi pengemis, melihat kondisi pendidikan anak pengemis, dan usaha orang tua pengemis untuk memberikan pendidikan untuk anak mereka. Sebuah studi kasus telah dijalankan dengan menggunakan instrumen observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Triangulasi data telah dijalankan untuk meningkatkan validitas dan reliabilitas kajian. Pemilihan responden dilakukan secara purposif. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa antara sebab-sebab anak menjalankan kegiatan mengemis adalah membantu ekonomi keluarga dan/atau karena menjadi anak yatim. Penemuan kajian mendapati bahwa sebahagian responden masih menempuh pendidikan di SD (Sekolah Dasar), manakala sebahagian responden lain telah berhenti sekolah selepas lulus SD. Kajian ini juga menemukan bahwa umumnya orang tua pengemis menginginkan anaknya mengemis sambil bersekolah. Orang tua juga belum memberikan pendidikan yang berkualitas untuk anak, meskipun mereka memiliki penghasilan yang memadai dari hasil mengemis.KATA KUNCI: Anak pengemis, keluarga pengemis, alasan mengemis, kondisi pendidikan, upaya orang tua, dan pendidikan yang tidak berkualitas. ABSTRACT: “Education for Beggar Children: A Case Study on Beggar Family in the City of Banda Aceh”. The problem of beggars is a common phenomenon that occurs in urban areas in various parts of the world. This phenomenon also occurs in Banda Aceh, Indonesia. The increasing number of beggars has become a social issue in the city of Banda Aceh. This phenomenon has become more worrying, because of the use of children for begging, whereas the children should be educated in the schools. The objectives of this study is to identify the children’s reason and motivation for begging, their educational condition, and the effort of parents toward their children’s education. The study was conducted by using a case study method, including observations, interviews, and document analysis as the instruments. Data triangulation was made to ensure the validity and reliability of the data. Purposive sampling was used to select the respondents. The findings showed that the main reasons why children were begging is to increase the familiy’s financial situation, and/or because they are left fatherless without a main source of income. Some of the respondents were school dropouts, while the other respondents continued their studying in primary school. The result also conveyed that the majority of parents want their children to beg and obtain their education at the same time. Abstract

This journal, with ISSN 1979-0112, was firstly published on May 20, 2008 in the context to commemorate One Millenium of National Awakening Day in Indonesian. The SOSIOHUMANIKA journal is published twice a year i.e. every May and November. For period 2013 to 2018, the SOSIOHUMANIKA journal has been accredited by Ditjendikti Kemdikbud RI (Directorate-General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia). Since issue of May 2014 to date, the SOSIOHUMANIKA journal has jointly been organized by the Lecturers of LP2M UNHAS (Research Institute and Community Service, Hasanuddin University) in Makassar, South Sulawesi and the Lecturers of PPs UNIPA (Postgraduate Program, University of PGRI Adibuana) in Surabaya, East Java; and published by Minda Masagi Press as a publisher owned by ASPENSI (the Association of Indonesian Scholars of History Education) in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia.

Abstract

RESUME: Hasil penelitian internasional menyatakan bahwa lebih dari 50% siswa Indonesia berkemampuan rendah dalam menulis. Berbagai penelitian juga dilakukan untuk menemukan penyebab rendahnya kemampuan menulis siswa Indonesia. Berdasarkan analisis tingkat kesulitan menulis, yang paling banyak dialami oleh peserta didik SD (Sekolah Dasar) adalah menulis ekspresif. Permasalahan yang muncul adalah bagaimana merancang PAKEM (Pembelajaran yang Aktif, Kreatif, Efektif, dan Menyenangkan) melalui teknik “Menjadi Wartawan Junior” mampu meningkatkan keterampilan menulis? Penelitian ini akan menghasilkan produk berupa model pembelajaran keterampilan menulis di SD. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut digunakan desain penelitian eksperimen. Ada dua fokus dalam eksperimen ini, yaitu fokus penentuan desain dan fokus uji coba. Data penelitian ini berupa data kuantitatif, yakni nilai pra-tes dan pasca-tes serta hasil observasi para akademisi dan praktisi sebagai hasil uji coba pembelajaran. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SDN (Sekolah Dasar Negeri) Padasuka 1 dan 2, yang berada di Jalan Wangunsari, Lembang, Kabupaten Bandung Barat, Jawa Barat, Indonesia. Berdasarkan analisis proses belajar-mengajar dapat dilihat beberapa dampak positif bagi para siswa, di antaranya peningkatan yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan menulis laporan antara siswa yang belajar dengan menggunakan teknik “Menjadi Wartawan Junior”. KATA KUNCI: Keterampilan menulis, model pembelajaran aktif, kreatif, efektif, dan menyenangkan, menjadi wartawan junior, serta kemampuan menulis laporan. ABSTRACT: “Enhancing Writing Ability by Using PAKEM Model Through a Technique ‘Becoming a Junior Journalist’ in Primary School”. International research stated that more than 50% of Indonesian students were categorized to be low in writing ability. Much researchs have ever been conducted for finding out the causes of Indonesian students low in writing ability. One analysis on the level of difficulty in writing that was most experienced by primary school students was expressive writing. The problem raised from this issue was how to create the PAKEM (active, creative, effective, and fun learning) to improve writing skill through a technique “Becoming Junior Journalist”? This study was expected to be resulted in a product in the form of writing learning model in primary school. In order to attain that goal, this study used experimental design. There were two focuses in the experiment, including decision on the design and piloting. The data of the study were quantitative data, encompassing pre-tests and post-tests scores as well as observation results of the piloting. This research was conducted in SDN (Public Primary School) Padasuka 1 and 2 in Jalan Wangunsari, Lembang, West Bandung Regency, West Java, Indonesia. Based on the analysis of learning process, there were some positive impacts occurred in students among others were significant improvement on the ability of writing a report by using the technique of “Becoming Junior Journalist”.
