Abstract

Abstract. Laboratory in school is very important in supporting the learning of chemistry, to prove the theory and concept of chemistry through practicum. Currently, there are still schools that rarely do practicum. Several factors caused it, namely the tools and materials needed were not yet available and teaching time was very limited due to the Covid 19 pandemic. To overcome these problems an interesting teaching aid was needed. One of the teaching aids that can be used by students is a valid and practical chemistry practicum kit. This research uses the type of 4-D development research (define, design, develop, desseminate). The results showed that the validation of the chemistry practicum kit for class XII science that had been designed met the very valid criteria with a percentage of 89.21% and the practicality results from student questionnaires were 86%. Keyword: Chemistry practicum kit, Validity, Practicality

Abstract

Learning media can be used in determining the success of students in learning where previously the learning media was still not used, and the learning process that took place in the classroom was still done manually or still using large printed books so that in fact the learning media was still lacking in use, the researchers wrote a thesis. this is entitled the development of newsletter learning media on elemental chemistry at MAS Lamno. This study aims (1) to determine the feasibility of learning media bulletin on elemental chemistry, (2) to determine student responses to learning media, (3) to determine student learning outcomes. This type of research is development (Research and Development / R & D) using the ADDIE development model through several stages, namely (1) analysis, (2) design, (3) development, (4) implementation, and (5) evaluation. the feasibility of the media was validated by 2 lecturers of chemistry education study program, namely media experts, material and language experts, the results of the development validation obtained an average percentage of 79.4% and for student responses and learning outcomes the data were taken from previous research, where data on student responses to newsletter learning media with an average value of 4.15 with a percentage of 82.92% is very good, while for the value of student learning outcomes the percentage is 76.47% and the student average score is 85.36% which is included in the very good category, then It can be concluded that the newsletter learning media on elemental chemistry can be used.

Abstract

Abstract. The problem behind this research is the unavailability of effective, efficient, and interesting teaching materials. Students’ interest in learning teaching materials used during the learning process at school only use book in the library sucs as textbooks and teachers also have not developed other teaching meterials that can attract students’ interest in learning so that students cannot study independently at home and students use more internet for learning and playing social media at home rather than studying based on this, the researchers conduted research on the Development Of Instagram Social Media-Based Learning Modules on the material for the development of the periodic table of elements and for class X SMA/MA students. Through learning modules based on social media instagram attention and Students’ interest in learning increases so that this also effects students scores for low to high. The type of research used in this research is research and development of R&D (research and development) and the research model used is the 4D model (define, design, develop dan disseminate). To find out the validity or practicality of a learning module, the validity and practicality of a product is tested. The result show that the validation of the instagram sosial media based learning module is very valid with a percentage of 95,4% and the practicality result are very practice with a percentage of 90% for students and 88,4% for teachers.Keywords: module, instagram social media, 4D model, validity, practicality

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertolak dari satu permasalahan yaitu berupa rendahnya hasil belajar peserta didik, salah satu penyebabnya bahan ajar yang digunakan disekolah berupa buku paket, modul dan LKS. Dimana modul dan LKS digunakan pada semester 1, sedangkan untuk semester 2 materi koloid, pendidik menggunakan buku paket. Sedangkan untuk model pembelajaran yang digunakan berupa model pembelajaran langsung dan sudah mengarah ke proses inkuiri. Dalam menggunakan model pembelajaran pendidik menginformasikan kurang konsistenya dalam proses pembelajaran, hal ini disebabkan belum adanya tuntunan yang dapat mengarahkan aktivitas peserta didik dalam pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, maka perlu adanya bahan ajar yang dapat digunakan pendidik dan peserta didik yaitu berupa Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) berbasis inkuiri dan metakognisi. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) berbasis inkuiri dan metakognisi pada materi koloid yang valid dan praktis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian pengembangan dengan tahapan yaitu: define, desain, develop, dan disseminate. Tahap define peneliti lakukan untuk mengetahui kondisi, masalah atau hambatan yang dihadapi di sekolah, kebutuhan peserta didik, analisis literatur, dan tujuan pembelajaran. Tahap desain ini, dilakukan untuk menyiapkan bahan ajar yang dikembangkan. Tahap developuntuk menghasilkan LKS berbasis inkuiri dan metakognisi yang valid dan direvisi berdasarkan masukan dari validator dan untuk melihat praktikalitas produk yang dikembangkan.  Tahap disseminate ini tidak peneliti laksanakan karena keterbatasan biaya dan waktu. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Lembar Kerja Siswa berbasis inkuiri dan metakognisi telah valid dan praktis. Hasil validitas adalah 82% dengan kategori sangat valid dan hasil praktikalitas melalui angket respon peserta didik memperoleh persentase 86,9% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Kata Kunci: LKS, Inkuiri, Metakognisi

Abstract

Abstract. This research is based on existing problems, namely the absence of teaching materials that can support the implementation of the practicum and plus the learning process carried out during the covid-19 pandemic is learning at home or also called online learning, where students are instructed to study at home with use cell phone. This causes students to have difficulty understanding some chemical concepts. The purpose of this research is to produce a chemistry practicum manual based on learning cycle 5E for class XI SMAN 1 X Koto Diatas that can be used by students in carrying out practical activities at school and at home. This study uses a type of development research using a 4-D development model. The results showed that the validity of this 5E learning cycle-based chemistry practicum manual obtained a percentage of 96.00% with very valid criteria and the practicality results of this 5E learning cycle-based chemistry practicum manual obtained a percentage of 86.60% with very practical criteria. With this, it can be concluded that the chemistry practicum manual based on the 5E learning cycle that is designed is valid and can be used in the process of implementing the practicum.Keywords: Practicum Manual, Learning Cycle 5E, Validity and Practicality

Abstract

Abstract. The main problem in this study is related to the lack of creativity of educators in using learning media, especially in the manufacture and development of media in the learning process. Where the media used by educators during the learning process does not attract students' interest in learning so that it affects the learning outcomes of these students. Thus, it is necessary to have a learning media that can be used by educators and students, namely in the form of learning media using STEM-based Lectora Inspire Software. The purpose of this study is to determine the learning media using STEM-based Lectora Inspire on valid and practical thermochemical material. The type of research used is research and development (Research and Development) with a 4D design model. This research consists of four stages, namely: define, design, development and disseminate stage. However, this research was only carried out until the development stage due to the limited time required Based on the results of the study, it was shown that the product in the form of learning media using STEM-based Lectora Inspire that was developed was valid and practical. The results of product validity obtained a percentage of 98.8% with very valid criteria, and the percentage of practicality through student response questionnaires obtained a percentage of 73.1% with practical criteria. Abstract

ABSTRACT The concepts of hydrolysis and buffer solutions have abstracts related to pH. This concept plays a role in the processes that occur in our bodies and in everyday life. Learning hydrolysis and solution materials requires experiments or practicum, the implementation of practicum is very dependent on the existence and completeness of the laboratory. With advances in technology in the field of ICT, there are many programs available that can be used to design ICT-based practicums (virtual labs). Virtual laboratory can overcome the limitations of laboratories, tools and materials, time and can save costs.This development research aims to determine the feasibility (theoretical and practical) of the developed virtual laboratory for hydrolysis material and buffer solutions. The virtual laboratory for hydrolysis and buffer solutions was developed using the Adobe Flash6 Professional program.This type of research is development research. The product developed is a virtual laboratory using the Adobe Flash6 Professional program for hydrolysis and Basic Chemistry II buffering materials in chemistry education study programs. This virtual laboratory development research uses the ADDIE model.The results of material validation and virtual laboratory media for hydrolysis and buffer solutions were 91% (very good) and 90% (very good).
