Abstract

Hotel selection is influenced by the objectives and the needs of visitors. Strategic location and comfortable atmosphere are also a consideration. Lack of information about the hotel became one of the problems for the visitors to determine the desired hotel when they come to a city. This research attempts to develop a decision support system that will help to make decision in hotel selection that involve number of parameters such as distance to the destination of visits, cost, facilities, and hotel class. As a case study in this research is the hotels selection in city area of Palembang, South Sumatra. Decision support system that developed in this research used mathematical method with Fuzzy Association to determine the score. The results, concluded that the decision support system developed can be used to assist hotel selection process. Keywords: Decision Support System, Hotel Selection, Fuzzy

Abstract

Growing data processing technology, this has resulted in the implementation of computerized systems in all fields. All parts of the organization or company has implemented various applications to meet their needs. Applications are applied separately raises its own problems which need the same data. So that data exchange becomes an alternative solution. Data security requirements on the database exchange process are become new problems in the process. To ensure data security on the exchange process, the encryption method is the best way. With the implementation of encryption on data that is exchanged, then the data is guaranteed safe and can only be read by those who need it. Applications that use different databases require a standard format so that all applications can read it. This format is XML. Abstract

Automation and Digital Library System at Bina Darma University has been used since 2006 until now, but from the initial study was conducted using this system to get different responses from users. Automation system greatly assist the process of administrative activities in the library of the Bina Darma University. But if the performance of this system has been accepted by all users? Therefore, it is necessary to do research on the issue. By using the model of Human Organization Technology in this study is in getting the results of more than 80% said strongly agree with the performance of automation systems and between the variables of Human, Organization and Technology together no correlation to the performance of the automation system. Abstract

Web service was the new paradigm in implementation the distributed system went through web that used the basis of XML technology, XML is a markup languange which represents document that is exchanged via internet. With exact structure and definition, XML can be used for representation and communication of distributed relational database. This research focusses on database representation and synchronization between relational databases. Bina Darma University has of Education Office is spread and separated by distance which will make the distribution of data in terms of student is not very effective and efficient. Online distribution also does not help because it has to moved from one site to another to retrieve the data. This study aims to build a web services technology that is capable to integrating the data in the Bina Darma University. With take advantage of XML, the integration of data from Bina Darma university which have different databases can be done. Keywords: Web Services, Data Integration, XML

Abstract

This research was done at the University of Bina Darma Palembang. The purpose of this research is to help Bina Darma University in control valuation for lecturer’s performance . Training and Valuation Lecturer’s Performance Systems (KIDO) is expected to provide a sense of satisfaction and improve lecturer’s loyalty. UPMT Team (Integrated Quality Assurance Unit) had difficulty in assessing lecturer’s performance because the data processing software is now less effective or are still many deficiencies, such as the report generated only for that time period, the report generated only for the lecturer, report must be archived back into Microsoft Excel, the value of lecturer’s performance (KIDO) from the previous period can not be seen, etc.. So the authors make the analysis and design to overcome these problems. Analysis and design of information systems using object-oriented method with the tools (the tool), Unified Modeling Language (UML). Abstract

SPK capital loan assistance to small and medium businesses are made by weighted product method (WPM). The criteria that are used in decision support system based on regulations in department of industry and trade. This criteria also had quantitive value. Five criteria which are used in this assesment are production, marketing, management of human resources, financial and investment feasibility. Each criteria have sub. There are four steps that are used to calculate the rank of each UMKM using weighted product model (WPM). First, calculate the value of weights for each sub criteria. Second, calculate the value of preference of each alternatives. Third, calculate the relative preference of each alternative. And the last, calculate the total score of each UMKM by multplying the value of the vector V with a percent value for each criteria. Keywords: Capital Loan, WPM, Rank Value

Abstract

The use of structured methodologies is needed to accelerate the repair process, helping reduce costs and improve efficiency. Monte Carlo simulation and Six Sigma methodologies can be used to analyze the risks associated with the total cost of the project. Monte Carlo simulation is applied to understand the variability in total costs resulting from the probabilistic cost item. With the range of variation of the Six Sigma methodology of project costs can be reduced by operating on input factors with the greatest impact on total costs. In this paper we will discuss how Monte Carlo simulation can be used in Six Sigma methods to analyze project costs. The results obtained can identify the elements of the risk of high costs, the difference between the estimates of each cost component and the average cost is obtained.
