Abstract

Diffusion innovation is a form of solution to the problem of poverty that occurs in various regions, one of which is in Koto Mesjid Village, Riau Province. By utilizing natural and human resources, innovations for cultivating freshwater fish using the catfish species have begun to be developed. Innovation diffusion activities in order to get out of underdevelopment and poverty are carried out with maximum effort from various parties involved such as innovators, local government, the community and investors. Cultivation, which was initially only a form of fulfilling food for the local community, has moved to cultivation as a form of effort to increase the economic level of the community, developing the creative economy more broadly. The diffusion innovation process outlined in the catfish cultivation program in Koto Mesjid Village needs to be analyzed further. So it can be discovered how the diffusion of innovations that are developed can bring local communities out of backwardness and poverty. The research method used in this journal article is a qualitative method. In this method, field observations and interviews were carried out with several related parties. The results of this research found that there were five stages of the innovation diffusion process carried out in the catfish cultivation program in Koto Mesjid Village. Starting from the knowledge stage by providing information about cultivation programs to the community. Persuasion is where the community considers the innovation program with its role as adopter. The decision stage is where the community decides to accept the catfish cultivation innovation program. Then, implementation is at this stage where the community carries out these cultivation activities. The last one is confirmation, namely the implementation of an evaluation of cultivation activities and the community is also given the option to stop or continue the cultivation program.

Abstract

Employment issues remain a significant challenge under the current government. The lack of job opportunities forces people to take any available work to meet their daily needs, aligning with Scott's subsistence theory, which describes survival efforts to fulfill life necessities. Consequently, many turn to the informal sector as a survival strategy due to the lack of alternatives. This phenomenon is evident in Sindangjawa Village, where agricultural labor is highly demanded. Despite insufficient wages for agricultural workers, they do not shift to other sectors. This study aims to identify the factors influencing Sindangjawa Village residents to work as farm laborers and to examine the wages provided. Using descriptive qualitative research methods, data were collected through interviews and documentation. The study provides an overview of the conditions and symptoms observed in the field. The findings reveal that the primary factors driving Sindangjawa Village residents to choose agricultural labor are low education levels and inadequate transportation. The average education level in the village is junior high school (SMP), making it difficult for residents to compete for other jobs. Additionally, limited public transportation hinders access to urban areas. The seasonal nature of agricultural work is a significant challenge, as farm workers only earn during the planting and harvest seasons. In between these periods, finding work becomes difficult, making it hard for agricultural workers to meet their daily needs

Abstract

The presence of a dhikr assembly as a forum for education for the community certainly has a positive impact in overcoming low human resources. One of them is the Sa'adatuddarain dhikr assembly in Cikeduk Village, Cirebon Regency, this is because the majority of people in Cikeduk Village who are over 50 years old have an average education of only up to elementary school (primary school), moreover they do not have an educational background in Islamic boarding schools. So the presence of the Sa'adatuddarain dhikr council tries to be a forum for non-formal education for the Cikeduk people regarding religion and social matters. The aim of this research is to determine the role of dhikr councils in religious and social education for the community. This research includes field research (Field research) using a qualitative approach. The data sources used are primary data sources and secondary data sources. The data collection technique uses observation, interviews, and documentation using technical triangulation to validate the data. Then data analysis which includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research indicate that the role of the Sa'adatuddarain dhikr assembly in religious and social education for the Cikeduk community has been successfully implemented. This can be seen from the success of the congregation when applying the knowledge they have gained from the assembly, including in the field of monotheism such as glorifying Allah SWT and carrying out prayers on time, then in the field of fiqh such as carrying out prayers in accordance with the nature of the Prophet Muhammad's prayers, and in the field of Sufism such as implementing asceticism in daily life and increasing dhikr. Apart from the religious side, there is also a social side which includes commendable morals, a harmonious family and building relationships between congregations. And the characteristic of this assembly is that it acts as an economic mentor by presenting monthly social gatherings in which there are emergency fund savings and business capital loans for the congregation.
