Abstract

Swamedikasi menjadi alternatif yang diambil masyarakat untuk meningkatkan keterjangkauan pengobatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat sikap tenaga kefarmasian dalam pemberian informasi obat diapet pada swamedikasi diare yang bersifat deskriptif dengan metode observational partisipatif, sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 34 tenaga kefarmasian yaitu 9 apoteker, 8 tenaga teknis kefarmasian, 17 asisten tenaga kefarmasian. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa tenaga kefarmasian yang paling banyak dijumpai dan memberikan informasi pada saat pelaksanaan swamedikasi diare adalah asisten tenaga kefarmasian (50%) dan yang paling sedikit dijumpai dan memberikan informasi pada pelaksanaan swamedikasi diare adalah tenaga teknis kefarmasian (23,53%). Pemberian informasi yang paling banyak disampaikan oleh tenaga kefarmasian dalam pelaksanaan swamedikasi diare adalah dosis obat (93,53%) dan informasi yang paling sedikit disampaikan adalah efek samping obat (45,88%). Sikap tenaga kefarmasian dalam pemberian informasi obat secara keseluruhan cukup baik (60,27%). Swamedikasi diare yang dilakukan oleh seluruh tenaga kefarmasian diperoleh dengan penilaian baik untuk apoteker (61,54%), nilai untuk tenaga teknis kefarmasian baik (61,35%), dan asisten tenaga kefarmasian cukup baik (59,10%).

Abstract

Uji cemaran mikroba pada jamu keliling yang dijual di Kelurahan Simpang Baru Panam Pekanbaru telah dilakukan dengan metode MPN. Jamu keliling yang diambil sebagai sampel adalah jamu Beras Kencur dan jamu Kunyit Asam, karena kedua jenis jamu ini banyak dikonsumsi oleh masyarakat. Dari 10 sampel yang digunakan, 6 sampel yang positif terkontaminasi bakteri coliform dan e.coli dengan nilai MPN antara 10-240/100 ml. Kesimpulannya adalah 5 jamu beras kencur terkontaminasi dan 1 jamu kunyit asam tidak memenuhi standar SNI 7388 : 2009.

Abstract

Test contamination of E.coli and Coliform bacteria in soybean milk sold in Sukajadi Village area Sukajadi District Pekanbaru City. This study aims to determine the existence of contamination and the number of E. coli and coliform bacteria in soy milk milk sold in the stalls Sukajadi District Sukajadi District Pekanbaru City by using the method of ALT and MPN method. Soy milk samples were obtained from five stalls with different producers, namely Sample A, B, C, D and E. Based on the conclusions of the research results for quality requirements of soy milk according to SNI No 01-3830 of 1995 that soy milk sold in stalls of Sukajadi Village area Sukajadi District Pekanbaru City is polluted by bacteria. With MPN value for E.coli bacteria> 3 APM / 100ml, and for bacterium Coliform> 20 APM / 100ml. The results for ALT values ​​exceeded the threshold of 2 x 102 colonies / ml. Good soy milk is consumed at least three days after preparation.

Abstract

Has been performed Antibacterial Activity Test Ethyl Acetate fraction of Leaf senduduk (Melastoma affine D. Don) Origin Bengkalis Against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli bacteria using fractionation and diffusion method. The purpose of this study was to determine the antibacterial activity of ethyl acetate fraction of leaf senduduk (Melastoma affine D. Don) from Bengkalis on the growth of Staphyloccus aureus and Escherichia coli bacteria. The result of antibacterial activity test from fraction of ethyl acetate of leaf senduduk (Melastoma affine D. Don) to Staphylococcus aureus bacteria with concentration of 60%, 45%, 30% and 15% showed the result of resistance diameter respectively 20,00 mm, 18,73 mm, 17.21 mm and 15.21 mm are included in the strong category. While the result of antibacterial activity test from fraction of ethyl acetate of leaf (Melastoma affine D. Don) to Escherichia coli bacteria with concentration of 60%, 45%, 30% and 15% showed the result of resistance diameter respectively 18,61 mm, 17, 48 mm, 15.28 mm and 12.23 mm are included in the strong to moderate category. As a positive control is used apaper disc Ciprofloxacin 5 µg. This indicates that the fraction of ethyl acetate leaves of the has antibacterial activity.

Abstract

Experimental activity of antibacterial activity of ethanol extract of fruit of kemukus (Piper cubeba L.F) was done to find out the secondary metabolite and antibacterial activity of ethanol extract of fruit (Piper cubeba L.F) against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. The method used was agar diffusion method at concentrations of 80, 40, 20, and 10%. The results showed that the ethanol extract of the steamed fruit had an inhibitory diameter area of ​​8.6; 8.1; 7.5 and 7.3 are antibacterial in the weak category against Escherichia coli, whereas against Staphylococcus aureus has a diameter of the inhibitory area of ​​8.9, respectively; 8.7; 7.6 and 7.5 are antibacterial in the weak category.

Abstract

The research of formulation gel preparation combination tomato extract (Solanum lycopersicum L.) and benzophenone. The research to know that the combination of tomato extract and benzophenone can be formulated into gel preparation with variation concentration carbopol 940 0,5%, 1%, and 1,5% as gel base. Then gel was evaluated, include observation of organoleptic, homogeneity, pH, viscosity, spreadability, freeze thaw test, iritation test, and for the most stable formula was determined SPF value by measuring absorbance sample at wavelength 290–320 nm with interval 5 nm using UV-Vis spectrophotometry. Results of the research showed that gel preparation of second formula was the most stableof the three with a typical smell tomato, yellow color, semisolid consistence, homogeneous, pH 5.73 ± 0.05, viscosity 4533 ± 115.47 cPs, has good spreadability, not irritating, and has SPF value28.61 ± 0.01.

Abstract

Bilimbi fruit (Averrhoa bilimbi L) has a antibacterial activity. Ethanol extract of bilimbi fruit is a potentially clear up acne which is caused bybacterium Propionibacterium acnes. This research is conducted to determine the effect of HPMC of bilimbi fruit ethanol extract gel on physicalnature and the activity of P. acnes. Bilimbi fruit liquid extract is obtained using maceration method with ethanol 80%. It is evaporated, the liquidextract becomes condensed. This research use three variants each contains 5,0%; 7,0%; and 9,0% of basic of HPMC. The test of organoleptic,homogenity, pH, and gel physical nature that embody adhesion test, scatter test, viscosity test are conducted on the gel. Antibacterial activity test wasconducted using diffusion method (secara sumuran). The antibacterial activity was measured by the size of its diameter of inhibitory zone which wasform in the media. The result data of physical nature of gel is analyzed by linear correlation of regression. Meanwhile, the result data of antibacterialactivity test was analyzed by statistical test using the method of ANOVA. The result of this research shows that when the level of HPMC isincreasing, its adhesion and its viscosity is getting tighter. Analytical result statistically shows that the antibacterial activity of the gel has the sameinhibitory zone with extract and peroxide benzoyl.
