Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the religious character in the implementation of the Friday Program in SMA Negeri 2 Sungai Raya. This research uses a qualitative approach. The location of research in SMA Negeri 2 Sungai Raya. The results of the study showed that: implementing religious character of the Friday Program was not only read the Letter of Yasin, Asmaul Husna, Youth Tausiah, and prayer but through the process of carrying out activities accustomed, which in turn can lead to religious attitudes in students in everyday life. The manifestation of religious values that can be seen from theimplementation of the Reverberating Friday Program are among others (a) theemergence of religious insights in communicating and speaking in public, (b) observing the devout prayer in congregation at the mosque, carrying out the Dhuha prayer or sunnah prayer, dhikr after prayer, (c) the establishment of faith and devotion through participation in religious activities such as MABIT (night of religious and devotion), echoes of the Prophet's prayer, recitation, Commemoration of the new year AD, commemoration of the Prophet's Birthday, (d) always remembering Allah by dhikr after prayer, grave pilgrimage, takziah, natural tadabur, (e) having good morals are manifested in the behavior of visiting members who are sick, helping those who are struck down by calamities or disasters, establishing fraternity and friendship.

Abstract

The object of the authors of this Scientific paper study is based on the fact thatstudents' understanding of the Exposition Text material is still low. In fact, bymastering of Indonesian language in general, the students do not experiencedifficulties in learning other subjects. This observation was carried out in Januaryto May 2017, because in those months the students had finished the general testand were at the end of the semester so that the condition of the students could be observed from the beginning. The Advance Organizer teaching model is one of the models in the information processing family developed by David Ausubel (1963). From this writing, it can be concluded that the existence of motivation in Advance Organizing learning the ability of students towards Exposition Text material and learning outcomes will be optimal. The more precise the motivation provided, the more successful the lesson will be. With high motivation, the intensity of student learning efforts. It will be able to increase students' understanding of the Exposition Text material in the media through the advance organizer. Keywords: Improvement, Exposition Text Material, Mass Media, Advance Organizer

Abstract

This study aims at developing supplementary reading materials with local values of Sukadana for extensive reading activity designed for the ninth grades students of SMPN 1 Sukadana. Using research and development model adapted from Hyland (2003) and stages of materials development model adapted from Tomlinson (2012) as the bedrock of the study, supplementary reading materials containing four local stories is produced. The pictures and illustrations laid were able to assist the students in understanding the texts and also to attract them to read. The students are expected to use this product as additional materials for extensive reading activity since such materials are not available in their school library and in the market. In addition, teachers can implement Extensive Reading activity by utilizing this product since it can help the students to read more fluently and to expand their knowledge.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the ability of language teachers in creating lesson plans using academic supervision methods. Academic supervision is one of the principals' tasks in developing teachers through the supervisory function to solve educational problems, including problems faced by teachers simultaneously and not looking for teacher errors. The form of this research is the School Action Research (SAR), which uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. In this study consists of two cycles and carried out using academic supervision methods to improve the ability in creating lesson plans in Indonesian and English subjects. The data obtained are in the form of teacher observation sheets in teaching supervision activities. From the results of analysts it was found that the ability to create lesson plans for language teachers increased from cycle I and cycle II, namely, cycle I to Indonesian language teachers I (60%), Indonesian language teachers II (45%), English language teachers I (50%) and English teacher II (40%) and in cycle II there was an increase in Indonesian language teacher I (80%), Indonesian language teacher II (85%), English teacher I (90%) and English teacher II (75% ). The conclusion of this study is that academic supervision methods can improve the ability to create lesson plans in language teachers in Negeri 3 Matan Hilir Selatan.

Abstract

This study is aimed to describe cooperative learning assisted by teaching aids that can improve mathematical understanding of 8th grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Sukadana on cube and beam material. This type of research is classroom action research. The steps of cooperative learning assistedby teaching aids that can improve students' mathematical understanding of cube and beam material are: 1) Conveying goals and preparing students, in this phase the teacher gives apperception and conveys the learning objectives, 2) Presenting information, in this phase the teacher explores students'initial abilities and delivering lesson material 3) Organizing students into learning teams, in this phase the teacher organizes students into heterogeneous learning groups based on student grades and sexes 4) Helping teamwork and learning, in this phase the teacher guides students who have difficulty in completing their group assignments.5) Evaluating, in this phase the teacher gives an individual quiz question. 6) Giving recognition or appreciation, in this phase the teacher gives awards to the group that successfully completes the group task well. Students' understanding of cube and beam material after the application of cooperative learning assisted by teaching aids in this study increased from the"good" category to the "very good" category.

Abstract

This research will explain what teacher competence is and how efforts to improve teacher competency are seen from the role of the principal. Hopefully this article can be used as material for reflection for teachers and other parties with an interest in education. The principal's leadership task will succeed well if a principal understands the task to be carried out. Therefore the principal will appear in a process where he is able to direct, guide, influence and or master the thoughts, feelings or behavior of others. For success in achieving school goals requires professional headmaster's leadership, in which he understands his duties and obligations as a leader, as well as carrying out his role as a leader. In addition,the principal must establish a good cooperative relationship withsubordinates, so as to create a work atmosphere that makes subordinates feel safe, secure, and have a freedom in developing their ideas in order to achieve common goals that have been set.

Abstract

Human Resource Development is a key factor to achieve the progress of the country and nation. Creating quality human resources is not only in terms of intellectual intelligence, but more important is the religious intelligence. Religion teaches that there is damage on earth because of human actions. Achieving prosperity and peace for all mankind will be achieved and felt because of the balance of intellectual and religious intelligence, so that life peace is expected and avoid damage on earth. Pontianak City Government anticipates the realization of a balance of intellectual and religious intelligence throughthe establishment of the Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah program for public schoolstudents. The Pontianak City Government implements this program in collaboration with the Pontianak City Ministry of Religion and the Pontianak State Islamic Institute (IAIN). This policy was taken because of the lack of religious material for public school students in the national curriculum. Regional autonomy makes it possible for the Regional Head to stipulate Regional Regulations (Perda) related to strengthening religious education needed by the region in order to achieve the welfare of the community.

Abstract

The first stage in learning according to the standard process is learning planningthat is realized by the preparation of the Implementation Lesson Plan. In theframework of implementing the 2013 curriculum, teachers must prepare lessonplans by adjusting some components to the curriculum documents. There are some teachers who are confused when they have to formulate lesson plans because the subjects taught are different from their educational background, it has an impact on the failure of the learning process and also inhibits the improvement of the quality of the school itself. The problem solving that is applied in this research is to provide continuous guidance to the teacher in creating lesson plans. This study uses two rounds of action research. Each round consists of four stages: designing, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The targets of this study are all teachers at SDN 10 Nanga Tayap. The data obtained in the form of observations of teaching and learning activities. From the results of the analysis it was found that the ability of teachers in arranging lesson plans has increased from cycle I to cycle II, that is, cycle I in the range of 109, with quite good categories, and in the second cycle in the range of 152 with very good categories. The conclusion from this study is that the method of sustainable guidance can positively influence the ability of teachers in preparing lesson plans at SDN 10 Nanga Tayap.
