Abstract

This article discusses about the biography of Amin al-Khuli and his thought; literary interpretation of the Quran (TafsirSastrawi). He offers this method because the Quran is Arabic(‘arabiyyunmubin). Therefore, the understanding of the Quran can only be revealed by using literary interpretation (tafsirsastrawi). This method has two important studies: the study of the external Quran (dirasah mahawla al-Qur’an) and the study of the internal Quran (dirasah ma fi al-Qur’an)

Abstract

The attitude of seclusion from worldly life is absolute prerequisite for achieving a high spiritual experience. This is based on the fait that love of the excessive world will lead to contamination and destruction of spiritual originality on human psyche. It can notbe denied that being closer to God by understanding the Quran has implications for individual piety. Person who pursues or the life Sufism will have the experience of spirituality, with that attitude without any transformation into social life, then someone who lives the life of Sufism will be neglecting social life. The concept of Sufism taught by IbnQayyim Al-Jauziyah is that of health of soul.

Abstract

This article aims to discuss human concepts in the Quran. Allah SWT. call Human Beings in the Quran there are several terminologies such as basyar, insan, unas, insiy, imru, rajul or which contain the meaning of women such as imraah, nisa or niswah or in personality traits, such as al-atqa, al-abrar, or ulul albab, also as part of social groups such as al-asyqa, dzul-qurba, al-dhuafa who all contain instructions as human beings in their essence and humans in concrete forms. Humans are the most perfect creatures that Allah SWT has ever created. The purpose of creating humans is only to worship Allah SWT, and to become a caliph on earth.

Abstract

Trade always plays a vital role in the social and economic life of human beings of all tim, so that business interests will influence the behavior of all the individual, social, and any regional, national, and international. This studys is based on constituent concerns in view of the condition of trade problems both in the Islamic world in particular and the international community at large. The method used is the muqaran method to see the comparison between the opinion of al- Qurtubi and Quraish Shihab about tijarah  (trade) in the Quran so as to see visible differences or similarities, especially in terms of both methodology and interpretation. Therefore, the author of this study is expected to be able to analyze the opinion of al-Qurtubi and that of M. Quraish Shihab about tijarah (trade) and how hung of related to the principle of tijarah (trade) so as to formulate how to trade in accordance with the commandments of God and His Messenger. The equation of the two interpreters that they  equally say that the verses were revealed on issues discussed on tijarah (trade). In terms of methodology  they interpret the verse interpretation paragraph in accordance with the Quran, but the explanations are the different al-Qurtubi also use the narrations of the earlier scholars, historians and israiliyat narrators, and so forth, while Quraish Shihab explain these verses by including the views of previous scholars both from the clergy,  Sunni and Shiite ulama. Differences in interpretation between al-Qurtubi and Quraish Shihab verses above, al-Qurtubi said these verses describe tijarah (trade) over the fore with the legal aspects, it is seen as the interpretation that he did indeed use a style of interpretation fiqh , al-Qurtubi says that the origin of the fallacy is also known as the forgotten, forgot to get directions and to forget that which it is traded hints and error, so it is clear that al-Qurtubi put forward it directly to the trade laws of God that is with include guidance and misguidance. While the Quraish Shihab said that the trade should be established with a willingness between sellers and buyers, although compliance is nothing hidden in my heart, but the indicators and signs can be seen. Consent and granted or what is known in the customs of the handover are the forms that are used to demonstrate compliance.

Abstract

Abu Talibs faith in the realm of Islamic thought still has a very long debate. Some scholars have claimed that he is an infidel, while others have claimed that he was a believer. Abu Talib was not uncommon also mixed up in political issues at the time of the power held by Muawiya sought to discredit Ali and his family. In the Koran, there are many verses that are considered by some scholars that the verses 113-114, al-Qasas verse 56, Surah al-Anam verse 26, and other letters relating to the faith of Abu Talib. The study was written as a reflection of the authors interest in knowing more about the subject by focusing Ibn Kathirs interpretation of the study as a Sunni interpretation and interpretation Tabatabai as a homage to Shiite interpretation. The equation of these two interpreters is that Ibn Kathir explicitly says that these verses descend are addressed to Abu Talib (The Prophets Uncle), who tells of Abu Talibs refusal to recite the two sentences of the shahadah at the end of his life, and still holds to his former religion Religion Abdul Mutallib. So also with T{abat{aba’i who said that Abu Talib died in a state of no faith and still hold on to the religion of his ancestors. While the location of the differences between them is contained in the interpretation of the letter al-Anam Ibn Kathir says the verse goes down with regard to Abu Talib who defends the Prophet to carry out his dawah. T{abat{aba’i is different from Ibn Kathir in the explanation of his riwayah, namely the interpretation of Iyasi and Qumis commentary, he says from the line of Ahl Bait that Abu Talib is a believer based on his evidence and his sayings. Essentially these two interpretations are the same, the most notable distinction lies only in the flow they profess, Ibn Kathir as a Sunni interpreter, T{abat{aba’i as a Shiite interpreter.

Abstract

Study of humans is extremely unique. It is appropriate that humans are said to be the noblest beings. Judging from the process of creation and its function, it has shown humans as beings chosen by God. Humans have extraordinary advantages. That advantage is endowed with reason and potentials in human beings themselves. Humans can develop their talents and potential and are able to manage and manage the universe of Gods creation as a mandate. Even so, as a weak servant of humanity is not spared from sin and error because it is caused by human pride in using the potential that exists in man himself, as an example of the pharaoh because the potential that exists in him makes him arrogant in this earth and claiming to be God. So that Allah criticizes many people in many of his words contained in the Quran.

Abstract

Discourse on the concept of government is always being a lactual issue in Indonesia, especially in the lead up to regional elections or presidential elections. But essentially legislative elections cannot be ignored, each contestant in the general election competes to attract the votes of the people without regard to their spiritual competence. In this case, Alquran has formulated the basic concept of the government system. And this article tries to describe these basic concepts by using thematic and semantic approaches. By tracing various relevant terms, at least the Alquran uses awliya, khalifah, and ulil amri terms. These terms show leadership includes the executive and legislature. To be a leader in a government, at least professional competence and physical abilities are needed. The stability of a government depends absolutely on the ability of the leader to carry out his obligations. Although religious status is still disputed, but as long as it is not related to the divine aspect, the people must obey the leader even though many things are not liked by him

Abstract

This article aims to explore hermeneutical thinking of contemporary Muslim thinkers. They are Fazlur Rahman, Nasir Hamid Abu Zayd, Mohammad Arkoun, Khaled Abou el-Fadl. These thinkers were greatly influenced by Western hermeneutical thinkers such as F. Sheiermacher, Wilhelm Dilthey, Martin Heidegger, Rydolf Bultmann, Hans-George Gadamer, Betti, Jurgen Habermas and Paul Ricoeur. The motivation of Muslim thinkers to use the hermeunetic approach developed by Western thinkers to reconstruct the meaning of the Qur’an was because they saw the initial motivation for the birth of hermeunetics from Western thinkers was because they wanted to reconstruct the Bible. The Quran and allegory are the same as the scriptures. The aspect that most influences Muslim thinkers in Western hermeunetic thinking towards the Quranic hermeneutics that they argue is the importance of reviewing the socio-historical descent of the Qur’an in order to contextualize the Qur’an. Between humans and the Qur’an that has been made throughout history by various schools and religious authorities. With hermeneutics, the Quran wants to be returned to humanity as a powerful text for every situation, condition and age.

Abstract

The writing aims to study about the last causes of a nation’s collapse which is contained in surah Al-Fajr was used thematic interpretation approach. As for the discussion was focused in verses 6-13. There were three languages that collapsed and destroyed in surah Al-Fajr, they were ‘Ad, Tsamud and Fir’aun. These three nations were actually potraits of advanced nations and achieving high civilization, but their bad traits have delivered them to the detruction. These two bad traits were: the first was arrogance in the form of theological disobedience which include all of the denial of faith, blasphemy of religion and its symbols and treatise lie. The second, vandalism in the form of sosiological disobedience that include all of the destructive behavior such as intellectual brilliance, rebellion, persecution and criminalization of da’wah and tryrannical power.

Abstract

“Alquran is like a diamond shining over all the surface”. That is well-known quote from Muhammad Abdullah Darraz in illustrating Alquran. From that statement, it is able to be summarized that he had provided a new paradigm of Alquran through his work, Al-Naba’u Al-‘Azim, Nazratun Jadidah fi Alquran. This paper will focus on several views in his book including the meaning of Alquran, hadis al-qudsi, h}adis al-nabawi, wahyu al-nash, wahyu al-ma’na, ta’lim bi al-Ibtida’I, and ta’lim bi al-Iqrar or naskh Intiha’i. Furthermore, this paper will analyze the theory of hadis al-qudsi I h}adis al-nabawi and the consequences of classifiying Alquran, Hadis al-Qudsi, and Hadis al-Nabawi, including the role of the prophet in revelation methode. Based on Darraz’s view, Alquran is not able to be defined. The definition of Alquran which has been commonly known is only the efforts of traditional muslim scholars to approach the essential charachters of Alquran. The clearest differences among Alquran, hadis al-qudsi, and hadis al-nabawi are possible to be seen from three aspects. Those are, the way of revelation imparting (wahyu al-nash and wahyu al-ma’na), textual indication (nash syar’i), and revelation purpose (ta’abbud bi tilawatih and tahaddi (challenging). The principal philosophy of differentiating among Alquran, hadis al-qudsi, hadis al-nabawi is abridging the human to perform the religious obligation. The role of prophet Muhammad in revelation process is simply passive.
