Abstract

Corneal perforation may be associated with prolapse of ocular tissue. We present a rare case reportan11 months-old female presented prolapsed of right eye. She was earlier diagnosedwithright corneal ulcer anddescemetocele. Physicalexamination revealed perforatedcornea.On ultrasound examination showedvitreous hazzinessand membranous opacity assumed due to inflammation. Based on examinationswe suspectedmalignancy process and performed enucleation withautogenous Dermis Fat Graft (DFG) which harvested onthigh region.Histopathology examination revealed chronic inflammation process.Hence, determining the causative factors of the prolapsed eye is the key for better management and prognosis.

Abstract

Kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat terhadap kesehatan pangan, membuat banyak terjadi kasus kontaminasi bahan pangan oleh mikroba. Salah satu mikroba yang mencemari bahan pangan adalah kapang. Penelitian ini bertujuanuntukmengidentifikasi dan menghitung jumlah kapang penyebab pembusukan pada kulit buah apel pascapanen di daerah Batu, Malang. Kapang adalah jamur multiseluler yang memiliki hifa yang menjadi ciri khas pembeda dengan khamir. Selain itu, kapang juga dapat menghasilkan mikotoksin yang berbahaya bagi kesehatan manusia. Sampel diambil secara acak dari perkebunan apel di daerah Batu. Identifikasi menggunakan metode Mounting Block dan media Saboroud Dextrose Agar (SDA), dan penghitungan jumlah kapang menggunakan metode Angka Kapang Khamir Cawan Tuang. Identifikasi mengguanakan mikroskop dengan perbesaran 400x, diamati berdasarkan morfologi hifa, konidia dan konidiofornya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya Aspergillus niger pada kulit buah apelsebanyak 5×101sampai 7×101. Kapang jenis inipaling mudah dijumpai padabuah-buahan. Selain pada buah-buahan, Aspergillus niger juga bisa diisolasi dari tanah, udara, dan serasah daun. Perlakuan buah apel pascapanen dan waktu penyimpanan berpengaruh pada jumlah kapang yang tumbuh. Batas cemaran mikroba untuk buah apel (kategori buah kering) pada jenis cemaran mikroba kapang adalah <5 x 101.

Abstract

We present a rare case report, Waardenberg syndrome type I, and ocular abnormalities related to the disease. A Boy, 11 months, presented with blue and hole in inferior iris. Patien also controlled to pediatric and ENT departement according his global developmental delayed, and unresponsiveness to sound stimulus since birth. Patient presented with distophia cantrorum, bilateral iris coloboma, brilliant blue iris, and retinal coloboma. Others systemic condition were skin hypopigmentation, bilateral sensorineural hearing lost, and global developmental delay equal to 6 months old baby. According to manifestations, this supporting diagnosis for Waardenberg syndrome type I. The management consists in treating the symptoms accordingly.  Careful follow up and work up is important to improve patient quality of life

Abstract

Report a clinical presentation of patient with rhematogenous retinal detachment by viterectomy and high myopia with C3F8 gas tamponade. A 20-year-old female came into the outpatient clinic with blurry vision on the right eye as her chief complaint. It had been happening since 1 month ago. In examination, we found result of visual acuity RE 1/300 and LE 1/60 correction Sferis-16.00 5/7.5, anterior segment in a normal range. In posterior segment evaluation, there were RE detachment on 3-11 o’clock position and hole on 6 and 8 o’clock position. Then we performed vitrectomy and  C3F8 gas tamponade. The first day after surgery, we found IOP 19,6 mmHg and Von Herrick III. Then after the second day, we found a pain on the right eye, TIO 47.3 mmHg, Von Herrick 0 and opaque lens. Then we performed iridectomy and intravitreal gas aspiration. After it were done, we found IOP 17.3 mmHg and Von Herrick 0. In anterior segment OCT evaluation, we found a narrow angle anterior segment. Then we planned to do a cataract extraction with using viscoelastic to perform the anterior chamber.Malignant glaucoma can occur in cases after vitrectomy action due to aqueous misdirection and emphasis on gas expansion on tamponade. Cataract extraction and gas aspiration can help open the anterior chamber and the intraocular pressure returns to normal

Abstract

Water sources are grouped into several groups which are: sea water, surface water, and groundwater. According to the science of health, each person requires drinking water as much as 2.5 to 3 liters per day including the water in food. This research is descriptive research to find out the quality of the water wells in the area Wonoayu Sidoarjo. To find out if there are any impurities bacteria Escherichiacoliin well water. To find out the numbers of the bacteria Escherichia coliand APM on a water well. The results of the sudy of APM well water near the toilet in Wonoayu, Sidoarjo water quality is not recommended bacteriologically in this area. Whereas maximum levels of Escherichiacolipermitted for drinking water according to is 0 or is free from pathogenic microorganisms that originated in feces, while 50% of water samples in the area of  Wonoayu contains coliform. Coliform bacteria in great numbers along with the feces will pollute the environment with 5 positive samples results contain Escherichia coliand 5 negative samples of Escherichia coli.

Abstract

Kolesterol merupakan senyawa lemak yang lunak, seperti lilin yang diproduksi oleh hati dan sisanya diperoleh dari makanan. Hiperkolesterolemia adalah kadar kolesterol yang melebihi batas normal dalam darah atau >200mg/dl(nilai normal 40-130 mg/dl). Biji labu kuning (Cucurbita moschata) dan kunyit putih (Curcuma mangga Val.) merupakan tanaman yang mudah didapatkan di Indonesia.Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui pengaruh kombinasi serbuk biji labu kuning (Cucurbita moschata) dan rebusan kunyit putih (Curcuma mangga Val.) dalam menurunkan kadar kolesterol darah pada mencit. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan studi eksperimental yaitu denganmenggunakan  30 ekor mencit yang dibagi menjadi 3 kelompokyaitu kontrol normal(kandang 1)dengan pemberian pakan ayam cp 511, kontrol positif (kandang 2) dengan pemberian jeroan ayamdan kontrol terapi(kandang 3)dengan pemberian BILAKUPU.Hasil penelitian menunjukkanadanya perbedaan antara kelompok kontrol positif dengan kelompok kontrol terapi yang ditunjukkan dengan uji statistik yaitu uji Paired T-Test menunjukkan hasil signifikansi 0,000 (p < 0,05) yang menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi BILAKUPU dapat menurunkan kadar kolesterol darah secara bermakna.
