Abstract

This study aimed to determine the level of fisherman's participation in village development and the inhibiting factors of fisherman in participating in Malang Rapat Village, Bintan Regency, Riau Islands Province. This research was conducted in May-June using mixed research methods combining qualitative and quantitative research with a sequential exploratory research design, namely conducting qualitative research using a Likert scale first. By determining the sample that is 15% of the total population of 227 people. So the respondence is 34 people and the key informants are two people, namely the village head and head of BPD. Analysis of the data used is a qualitative descriptive analysis Likert scale with a gradation indicator of participation rate very high (4) high (3) moderate (2) and low (1). Then the sum of the scores for each answer will be divided by the number of respondents so that the average score for each question is obtained. The percentage of fisherman's participation in the development of Malang Rapat Village is by evaluating the three stages of participation, namely the planning stage by achieving an average score of 2.21 or with a percentage of 55.25% being in the high category, while at the implementation stage it reaches an average score of 2, 27 or with a percentage of 56.7% are in the high category, and at the supervision stage, an average score of 1.94 or a percentage of 48.5% is in the medium category. This is because the village of Malang Rapat has an effort to participate in every village activity by carrying out activities during the day when fishermen are not doing activities and establishing good communication with the community, especially fishermen. The inhibiting factor for fishermen in participating in every activity in village development is the awareness of the fishermen themselves in participating in activities.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the feasibility business of UMK Pengupasan Daging Rajungan. This research was in February-April 2021 in UMK Pengupasan Daging Rajungan Sei Ladi of Tanjungpinang city. The sampling method used is the purposive sampling method. The feasibility was analyzed using R/C ratio, B/C Ratio, BEP Volume, BEP Price, Payback Period, and NPV. Business development prospect in UMK Pengupasan Daging Rajungan will be identified using a SWOT analysis. The research result obtained profit for UMK Pengupasan Daging Rajungan, the R/C Ratio value is 2.45, B/C Ratio is 1,45, BEP Volume is 4.718.22 kg, BEP is Rp101.985, Payback Period is 1 year, 2 months 7 days, NPV is Rp5.713.143.210. UMK Pengupasan Daging Rajungan is profitable and feasible to be developed. Based on the identified SWOT analysis, UMK Pengupasan Daging Rajungan has 6 advantages in terms of capital, complete infrastructure, strategic location, carrying out fishing development, empowering marine products, and already having a business license. Weaknesses of UMK Pengupasan Daging Rajungan unstable crab supply and the absence of utilization of crab shell waste. Opportunities owned by UMK Pengupasan Daging Rajungan are a large market, the opportunity to expand their business, high market demand, and having regular customers. Meanwhile, the current threats are the lack of fishing gear, competitors, Pandemic Covid-19, and the used fishing gear that damages the crab habitats.

Abstract

The village of Malang Rapat is one of the areas with high enough fishery products, of course, it has enormous potential in developing fishery product processing businesses. In the village of Malang Rapat, there is a fishery product processing business, namely the Atomic Cracker Business. This study aims to analyze operating costs, income. This study aims to analyze operating costs, income, and breakeven points. The research method used is the description. Sampling was carried out by census, namely an Emi atomic cracker business. The types and sources of data used consist of primary data and secondary data. The results showed that the total cost of processing fishery products (Emi Atomic Crackers) in the village of Malang Rapat, Bintan Regency, was Rp357,559,100 per year. Was Rp357.559.100 per year. The income earned is Rp1.085.512.900 per year. Overall, the results of the calculation of fishery product processing business income (Emi Atomic Crackers) in the Village of Malang Rapat, Bintan Regency, generated considerable income during 2021 and could cover the costs incurred in the production process.

Abstract

One of the catches of fishermen from Kelong Village is Delah Fish (Caesio teres) one of the target fish species that have high economic value and this fish also meets the demand of the export market, delah fish has a fairly high market and export price, the purpose of research is to examine the economic value of fish. Delah (Caesio teres) to know the role of Delah Fish (Caesio teres) in absorbing labor and the contribution of Delah Fish (Caesio teres) to the income of fishermen's families in Kelong Village. This research was carried out from March to April 2021. This study used a survey method with primary data collection using direct fisherman interviews and secondary data consisting of documents. Determination of respondents is done by the census method, namely fishing fishermen who use longline fishing gear, and traps totaling 32 respondents, the census method is a method that takes one population group as a whole sample. The tools of this research are, a questionnaire, writing style, and calculator. The procedure of this research includes 2 procedures, namely preparation and implementation. The preparation stage consists of 3 activities, (1) survey of research sites, (2) research permit at the village office, (3) conducting interviews with village office informants, and (4) making research question guides (questionnaires). The results of this study obtained the economic value of delah fish resources in Kelong Village, the total economic value was Rp. 2,879,724,000/year, labor absorption of delah fish resources in Kelong Village was 41 people or 7.96%, the contribution to the average income fish fishermen, the income of delah fish fishermen is Rp. 16,500,000/year or 70%. Family members of delah fish fishermen who work are Rp. 7,068,750/year or 30%.

Abstract

Selayar Village is a coastal area with the majority of the population as fishermen who use anchovy kelong (Stolephorus sp.)The method used in this research is a survey method, with a total of 15 respondents who own kelong anchovy (Stolephorus sp.). The research was carried out for 2 months starting from April-May 2021 in Selayar Village, Lingga Regency. Data analysis uses cost, revenue, and income analysis. Based on the results of the analysis, the total annual average income of the anchovy kelong business in Selayar Village is Rp245.700.000. The total average cost per year is Rp21.822.322. The average wage for managers and laborers of anchovy kelong per year is Rp134.326.607. The average net income per year for the owner of the anchovy kelong is Rp89.551.071.
