Abstract

This study aims to find out: (1) the influence of the use of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on the mathematical communication skill; (2) the influence of the use of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on the mathematical problem-solving skill. This study was conducted on class VIII. The research design is pre-post quasi experimental design. Samples were selected using the cluster random sampling technique. The employed instrument in this study was an essay test. The obtained data were then analyzed using independent samples t-test and simple linear regression. The results indicated that (1) the average score of students' mathematical communication skills taught by problem-based learning models was higher than those taught by conventional methods; (2) the average score of students' mathematical problem-solving abilities taught by problem-based learning models is higher than students taught by conventional methods

Abstract

In the learning process it is very important to try to get students to think creatively in solving problems and engaging actively. This research is an experiment in the form of design pretest postest control group design. The subjects in this study were two classes of 62 grade VIII junior high school students. The instruments used are tests of creative reasoning skills and mathematical problem solving in the form of 5 essay questions and learning interest questionnaires. Analyze data using Gain test, Chi Square test and Contingency Coefficient. The results found that improved creative reasoning skills as well as the mathematical problem-solving abilities of students with Treffinger  learning were superior to regular learning. In addition, it was also found that the higher the student's learning interest the higher their creative reasoning skills and mathematical problem solving skills. Other findings include associations between students' learning interests, mathematical creative reasoning skills and students' mathematical problem-solving skills classified as moderate.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the TANDUR learning model assisted by GeoGebra on mathematics learning outcomes in terms of student learning independence which is a quasi-experimental research. The number of respondents in this study were 71 students. Collecting data on learning independence is collected through a questionnaire, and data on mathematics learning outcomes are collected through tests of mathematics learning outcomes in the cognitive domain. Data analysis was performed using two-way analysis of variance (ANAVA) with the help of SPSS, at a significance level of 5%. The results show that the learning outcomes of students who use the TANDUR learning model assisted by GeoGebra are better than the learning outcomes of students who use conventional learning models, student learning outcomes using the TANDUR learning model assisted by GeoGebra are better than using conventional learning models in students who have learning independence high, and the learning outcomes of students who use conventional learning models are better than students who use the GeoGebra-assisted TANDUR learning model for students who have low learning independence.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyse the independence of students learning on the flat analytic geometry of the Covid-19. This research was conducted on students in the second semester with 72 resopondents consisting of 15 males and 52 females. Data retrieval is carried out using a self-sufficiency study poll as many as 20 items of statements that have been compiled based on learning independence indicators. The scale used in this study was the Likert scale. Data analysis to know the independence of learning students used descriptive analytical techniques with the ideal criteria namely the ideal mean and the ideal deviation standard. Based on data analysis obtained by the results of independence of learning with indicators: a self- confident is good enough (31.75%), the activeness is quite good (37.50%), discipline is good (52.10%), and responsibility is good (64.57%).
