Abstract

This study aims to provide an overview of nurses' caring in carrying out critical nursing care for Covid-19 patients installed with Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) in the ICU using the Care, Core, Cure Lydia Hall nursing theory. This type of research is qualitative research with a case study approach. The results showed that nursing problems that occurred in patients after ECMO installation included airway disorders, gas exchange disorders, bleeding risks, and the risk of impaired skin integrity due to decreased tissue perfusion. In conclusion, Lydia Hall's nursing theory is dominated by the Cure aspect because the installation of ECMO is a very complex medical procedure and involves teams from various disciplines. Hence, the implementation of the Cure aspect is a collaborative act of nurses. Care and Core aspects also have an essential role in caring for nurses, namely by conducting therapeutic interactions and facilitating patients to get family support so that patients have the spirit to recover and do not experience stress that can affect hemodynamic conditions. Abstract

This study aims to improve the ability to evaluate the results of reforming agents in implementing the Case Reflection Discussion program. The method used is a pilot study method using a problem-solving approach—the results of the problem identification need to be optimized for the implementation of CRD. Problem-solving begins with the preparation of guidelines and SOPs on CRD. The performance of CRD was piloted in 4 rooms; the results of the progress evaluation obtained after participating in CRD were nurses stated that CRD helped increase knowledge, critical thinking skills, spurring work according to standards and as a solution in solving problems in service. In conclusion, the implementation of CRD requires support from hospital management in the form of structuring the system and providing motivation and facilities. The performance of CRD needs to be supported and carried out through tiered supervision from the team leader, head of the room to the head of the nursing field. Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors of knowledge, pocket money, and the role of the media on the occurrence of KEK. This research method is an observational analytic study using a cross-sectional design (cross-sectional). The result of the analysis is that knowledge affects KEK with a T count of 4.134 and a significance value of 0.000. The role of the media does not affect the incidence of KEK, with a calculated T value of 0.166 and a significance of 0.868. In conclusion, pocket money affects KEK with a T count of 2.431 and a significance value of 0.016. With good knowledge and supported by students' financial conditions, students can determine a good diet and make their upper arm circumference exceed 23.5. Abstract

This study aims to see how the effect of complementary therapy on the quality of life of survivors of advanced breast cancer. The research method used is a scoping review where the author uses four databases, namely Google Scholar, Pubmed, Proquest, and Science direct, from 2013 to 2021. The type of research sought uses cross-sectional and retrospective observational. The results showed that alternative, complementary therapies often used by breast cancer survivors were herbs, spiritual therapy, vitamin and mineral supplements, mind-body manipulative practices, and exercise. However, five articles state that there is no association between the use of CAM on the quality of life of breast cancer survivors. However, seven other articles said that there was a positive effect of CAM on the quality of life of breast cancer survivors.
