Abstract

Film as a medium of mass communication  succeeds in forming public percep­ tions through the construction of reality, build various phenomena through signs and structures of meaning. Film Jodhaa-Akbar is onof those films that one part of it tells of the power of an empire that had triumphed.  The phenome­ non of leadership is always interesting  when a source in contact with the study of politics and power issues. Through semiology Charles Peirce, this research study seeks to build leadership through the presentation of a film. Peirce di­ rects the concept of semiotics toward pragmatism. This research method using a qualitative approach. The studyfowzd that thi:'Ye is a scene that clearly shozus the shape of act s of leadership, such as decision-making illvolving  many advi­ sors among lenders, employee error executing a personal palace, to the totality ( (the Sultan of developing education.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is on the activities of students of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universit y of Bengkulu on social media,especially activity that leads to acts of c yber-bull ying. Furthermore, to ex plore the level of literacy of stud ents Oil legislation Interaction and Electronic Transactions (U U ITE ) governing ethics in social media. This study used a qualitative research approach. So that the data collecting technique is interview and observation as well as questionnaires o pen. lJZ formant s in this study were stud ent s of the Faculty of Social and Political S ciwces, University of Bengkulu who actively use social media. The results sl w<t•ed that the activity of stud ent s on social media uery much and epery student has a social media account for more than three accounts. Generally, the studwts explained that the post status activity in social medir. does not .1lways contai11 c yl1er bullying, lmt students are not denied ever did as 1.uell . Generall y, the l evel of literacy of stud ents at UU ITE is ver y low it is pnrved they do not know even do not understand the law.

Abstract

Teenager aged 10-19 years is the digital native generation and thetj are connected with the virtual world almost every time. Online activities they do, among others, are connected through social media, search for information on various websites, downloading music, watching movies via YouTube, read the news, play on-line games, and etc. Teens' on-line activity behind it has a variety of risks and should be examined together with any kind of on-line risks experienced by adolescents as a first step in order to minimize the negative effects that rcould occur. This article contains a study of the conceptualization of on-line risk, scope and classification of on-line risk; featuring a wide range of research011 the influence of social environment on the risk of on-line teens; and attempts to deal with the risk of negative media that hit young people through new media literacy education. Media literacy curriculum that already exist.>hould be adapted to the characteristics of new media. At its core, the new media literacy should include: (1) media literacy; (2) d igital technologtj literacy; (3) civil and social respol?sibility; and ( 4) imagination and creativih;.

Abstract

This survey  research is expected to describe the Pay TV indt!Stry, its custom­ er profile in Jakarta in the form of audience segmentation and the programs required and enthused by viewers. The research method was sun.'ey zeith sam­ ple of 2000 television owners  as respondents. The sanzpli11g  method in this1·esearch was Multistage Random Sampling from 5 (jive) out of6 OK/ Jakarta province area, excluding Thousand Islands Regency. Data collecting technique used was interview. There were only 228 respondents from 2000 samples wlztl subscribed Pa y TV The research result described the telei>isioll I'ieteer profile i11Jakarta through segmentation  based on age, gender alld social en,nomytatu . An interesting  finding was the capability of Pay TV companies· marketing 11s factors to acquire more subscribers with a total percentage of 32.5%.  Tile mostinteresting  program category depends on Pay TV subscriber is entertainment.Motion western pictures became the most favorite program, follo<eed by other countries' animation or cartoon category. Pay TV category in jakarta is domi­ llated by Satellite Pay TV.

Abstract

Groupthink phenomenon in the context of political communication in the scope of the legislative group in the Indonesian parliament where members of multipar pol heteroge11eous background, but often resulted in cont roversial decisionsand unpopular. The paradigm of this research is postpositivis with a qualitativeapproach. Methods used in this research is a case study.
