Abstract

The aim of this study was to identify the descriptive trends of natural science learning outcomes of eighth-grade students SMP N 3 Kasihan Bantul academic year 2016/2017 which guided by inquiry learning approach and expository. Comparatively to determine the differences in natural science learning outcomes of eighth-grade students of SMP N 3 Kasihan Bantul academic year 2016/2017 between learning by using guided inquiry approach and expository. The research used Quasi-Experimental research type. Descriptively the results of the research showed that the trends of natural science learning outcomes eighth-grade students of SMP N 3 Kasihan Bantul academic year 2016/2017 which guided inquiry learning approach including very high category, while the use of expository learning models including in the high category. Comparatively, there were significant differences in natural science learning outcomes of eighth-grade students of SMP N 3 Kasihan Bantul academic year 2016/2017 between guided inquiry learning approach and expository. It Meant the were any influences of guided inquiry approach to natural science learning outcomes eighth-grade students of SMP N 3 Kasihan Bantul academic year 2016/2017.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to know the differences of the science study results of the 7th grade student of Taman Dewasa Ibu Pawiyatan Yogyakarta Junior High School on school year 2016/2017 among the uses of problem based learning with the conventional method that evaluated by the critical way of thinking of the students. The study is Quasi Experiment. The data are gathered with documented method, observation and test. The data analysis technic that used is Anacova test. The average of the science study results and the students’ critical way of thinking is higher than the conventional method. It means that there is an influence of the study problem based learning among the science study results of the 7th grade student of Taman Dewasa Ibu Pawiyatan Yogyakarta Junior High School on School Year 2016/2017 that evaluated by students’ critical way of thinking.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know tendency facilities, environment, and result learning of IPA. In a correlative to know relationship facilities, environment, and result learning of IPA, both do together and alone. This research is correlative descriptive especially ex-post facto. Data collecting technique used questionnaire, documentation, and test. Data analyzing technique used double regression analysis, two predictors and then partial correlation. Prerequisite experiment analysis includes normality experiment of propagation and linearity relationship. The sample is all of the population and used population study technique. It can be shown the tendency of facilities and environment of learning is in the high category. The tendency of learning result of IPA is in the very high category. Correlatively is found value of Fcount = 48,922 > with p= 0,05. It means that there is a positive relationship that very significant between facilities and environments learning and result of learning IPA grade of VIII SMP Taman Dewasa in all Kecamatan Umbulharjo Yogyakarta 2015/2016, both do together and alone. Effective contribution from two predictors is 67.14%, learning facilities are 15.95% and learning environment is 51.19%.

Abstract

This research has descriptively aimed to determine the tendency of natural science result study using Group Investigation learning model and conventional learning model. Comparatively aims to determine differences in natural science result study on both the learning model. The data analysis technique using t-test but previously performed analysis prerequisite test including normality test distribution and homogeneity of variance test. The result of descriptive research showed that the tendency on natural science result study Group Investigation learning model included the very high category, and the use of conventional learning model included the high category. The analysis shows that there are very significant differences in natural science result study on both the learning model. The average of natural science result study using Group Investigation learning model is higher than conventional learning model, so it can be concluded that the effect of Group Investigation learning model on natural science result study.

Abstract

This research aims to know the existence of influence applying STM to class VIII SMP Trisula Salam Magelang student learning outcomes in the subject chemistry material. This population research is all class VIII, SMP Trisula Salam. Sampling technique used is population research. Research conducted by giving treatment in the form of applying of method study STM approach continued with post-test. Pursuant to result of research, obtained by mean assess post-test experiment class 100 and control class 80. Value of post-test experiment class and control class have the normal distribution and have same variants, while difference test two means of  t_count =2,725 with p=0,009. The result learning outcomes of experiment class is better than control class. Pursuant to result of research can be concluded that there is an influence of the method with STM approach to student learning outcomes of class VIII SMP Trisula Salam Magelang at the subject chemistry material.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the learning process IPA through the use of the science props, so as to enhance the creativity and learning outcomes of science students of class VIII MTs.YAPPI Jetis Saptosari Gunungkidul the academic year 2016 / 2017. This type of research is the Classroom Action Research (CAR). The results showed that after learning through of the science props, creativity and learning outcomes IPA increased. This can be demonstrated by an increase in average based on the percentage of students’ creativity observation sheet for each cycle, in the first cycle 21,67%  and the second cycle 62,50%. Based on the results of tests of learning with the science props seen before by the action and after getting action. Improving students learning occurs on the average value of the capability is 56,68 increased to 74,42 at the end of the first cycle and increased again to 86,83 at the end of the second cycle. It can be concluded that learning IPA through the use of the science props can improve creativity and students learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to develop device learning according to a model learning media comic of teaching materials in subchapter mechanical systems man and its relation to health in the class viii junior high schools 3 Sarolangun. The kind of research is research development referring to the model of development borg and gall. Subject research used as a subject pilot were students class VIII junior high schools 3 Sarolangun. Steps research is: analysis products to be developed, product development early, validation the people of and revision products, pilot the field limited and revision products, trial on center court and the final product. Media developed tested its feasibility with the validation by the matter and media experts before undergone a try. An instrument used to collect data is chief. The results of the study showed that validation the people of material obtain the average score 4.10 included in 23.501 very good. The results of validation media experts have the average score 3.9 included in category good.The results of response students to media learning comic obtain the average score the percentage value of 93,04 included in category good.

Abstract

This study aims to determine differences in the results of science learning grade VII students between the learning using TPS and direct learning in terms of students' scientific attitudes. The population is all students of class VII of SMP Negeri 5 Banguntapan Bantul with the sample is class VII C and VII D taken by random sampling. Data collection techniques using test techniques and questionnaire techniques. Data analysis technique used one path ladder analysis. The results showed that there is a very significant difference of science learning outcomes of students of class VII SMP Negeri 5 Banguntapan Bantul 2016/2017 academic year between using the model of TPS learning and direct learning model viewed from the scientific attitude of students so that the model of learning Think Pair Share more effective in improving The results of science learning compared with Direct Instruction learning model in terms of students' scientific attitude.
