Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the tendency of science learning result of VII students of SMP Taman Dewasa Jetis Yogyakarta in academic year 2016/2017 which study using STAD type cooperative learning model (achievement model achievement), direct learning model, and student learning motivation. The object of this study is the result of learning science IPA students. The type of this research is Quasi Eksperimen. The data was collected by using documentation technique to know the students 'initial ability, questionnaire technique to know the students' learning motivation, and the test technique to know the learning result of the science student. The test instrument is about multiple choice questions 30 questions, and positive and negative questionnaire instruments. The results obtained f= 1.596 with p = 0.140 and the result of learning achievement equal to 19,83, mean of the result of questionnaire equal to 74,22. Based on the average of learning outcomes and the results of questionnaires, then there is the influence of the use of STAD type cooperative learning model on the learning outcomes of science students of class VII in review of student learning motivation.

Abstract

This research is aimed to find out the influences of cooperative learning Students Teams Achievement Division (STAD) type towards science learning outcome at eight grade students of SMP N 2 Banguntapan Bantul in the academic year 2016/2017 reviewed from students activeness. This research used a Quasi-Experiment. The object of research that used is learning the outcome. Data collection technique was taken by gave a test, questionnaire, and documentation technique. The instrument of the test consists of 30 multiple choice questions and the questionnaire consisted of 20 statements. The result of research obtained Famount=4,407 through p=0,037 and the average of learning outcome amount 20,06 and the result of questionnaire amount 74,00. Based on the result of learning outcome and questionnaire, there were influences of the use of cooperative learning on the Students Teams Achievement Division (STAD) type towards science learning outcome at eight grade students reviewed from students activeness

Abstract

This study descriptively aims to determine the tendency of science learning achievement and the critical thinking skill of students who were thought using concept maps and direct instruction models. Comparatively to know the difference of science learning VII grade students of SMP Negeri 12 Yogyakarta were learned using concept map and direct instruction achievement model viewed from critical thinking skill. The research is a quasi experiment. The data were collected by documentation, test, and questionnaire. Comparatively, there is a significant difference of science learning achievement between learning using concept maps and direct instruction model. The average score of science learning achievement and critical thinking skills using concept maps is higher than the direct instruction model, so there is an effect of using concept maps on science learning achievement based on students critical thinking skills VII grade students of SMP Negeri 12 Yogyakarta.

Abstract

This study was aimed to find out the significant difference between the students learning outcomes of natural science that were taught using a cooperative learning method Teams Assisted Individualization (TAI) design and a conventional method in terms of student independence. This study was an experimental study. The subject of this study was the seven grade students of SMPN 1 Imogiri. From seven classes, two classes randomly taken as the sample groups. Data collection techniques were done through a test and a questionnaire. All data were analyzed by using a One-Way ANACOVA test. The result revealed that the mean value of the student's score that was taught using TAI was 22,563 and those that were taught using a conventional method was 18,069. In conclusion, the hypothesis of this study was accepted. There is a significant difference between the students learning outcomes that were taught using TAI and a conventional method in terms of student independence.

Abstract

This study is descriptively aimed to determine the tendency of science learning outcomes of students of grade VIII SMP Negeri 4 Wonosari academic year 2016/2017 through inquiry learning model and direct learning model in terms of student learning independence. Comparative to know the difference of science learning outcomes of students of class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Wonosari academic year 2016/2017 which learning using inquiry model of learning and direct learning model in terms of student learning independence. The type of this research is a Quasi experiment. Descriptive research results show that the tendency of science learning outcomes of students of grade VIII SMP Negeri 4 Wonosari academic year 2016/2017 whose learning using inquiry learning model included in the category very high and who use direct learning model included in the high category, student learning independence using model Inquiry learning is included in the high category, while learning independence using direct learning model is included in medium category. Comparatively, there is a very significant difference of science learning outcomes of students of grade VIII SMP Negeri 4 Wonosari academic year 2016/2017 which learning using inquiry learning model and direct learning model in terms of student learning independence.

Abstract

This research was aimed to improve motivation and evaluation of science for grade VIII E students through a type of cooperative learning model Inside Outside Circle at MTs Negeri Sleman Kota Yogyakarta. This research is Classroom Action Research that was collaboratively. The subject of this study is 33 students in class VIII E at MTs Negeri Sleman Kota Yogyakarta. Thr object of this study is teaching by using a type of cooperative learning model Inside Outside Circle, motivation, and students evaluation. The collecting data method used observation, documentation, questionnaire, and test. The result of this research showed that after implementing a type of cooperative learning model Inside Outside Circle, motivation and evaluation grade VIII E students became better and improved. This showed that by improvement of average percentage of learning motivation for each cycle, indicator average of motivation pra cycle is 66,84% improve become 75,08% in cycle I and 81,14% in cycle II. The average of evaluation in cycle I am 73 become 79 in cycle II. A lot of students can reach the KKM in cycle I am 17 students with 50% percentage. In the cycle, II become 71,8% one 23 students can reach KKM. Based on the result of the research, the writer gave advice for the science teacher to implement a type of cooperative learning model Inside Outside Circle as the innovation of teaching and cooperative learning model.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the problem-solving learning process so that it can improve students' science learning outcomes and critical thinking skills of students of grade VII SMP Negeri 4 Sewon Lesson Year 2016/2017. The research was conducted in SMP Negeri 4 Sewon with research object of class VII B SMP Negeri 4 Sewon. From the result of the research, it is found that there is an increase from cycles I to cycle II with 36,4% presentation to 97,0% while the result of student critical thinking skill presentation at cycle I 27,3% and at cycle II 51,5%. Based on the average of learning outcomes and questionnaires, there is an effect of using Problem Solving learning model from Cycle I to Cycle II.

Abstract

The objective of this study descriptively is to know the result of Science’s learning achievement from communication skill and comparatively to know the differences of learning achievement of Science subject between the teaching that uses TPS Model and Conventional Learning Model. The type of this research is a quasi-experiment. The data collection techniques use documentation, questionnaire, and test. Data analysis technique uses a descriptive analysis and Anacova. Descriptively, the result of the research shows that learning achievement used TPS was very high criteria and Conventional Model was in high criteria. The communication skill that used TPS was high criteria and Conventional Model was in high criteria. Comparatively, there was an influence of the use of TPS Model toward the learning achievement of science subject from communication skill.
