Abstract

Data security in modern computing, particularly in IoT and edge environments, demanded lightweight cryptographic solutions due to resource constraints. Classical cryptographic algorithms, such as the Affine Cipher and Vigenere Cipher, were attractive for their simplicity and low computational overhead but suffer from vulnerabilities to modern attacks, including brute force and frequency analysis. This study aimed to optimize these algorithms by increasing key length and applying polyalphabetic variations, enhancing their resilience to attacks while maintaining efficiency. Experimental resulted demonstrate significant improvements in resistance to decryption attempts, with optimized algorithms proving highly resilient even under constrained environments. Despite minor increased in computational resources, the algorithms remain efficient and practical for IoT applications. These findings underscored the potential of optimized classical cryptography as a secure yet resource-efficient alternative for modern computing systems, bridging the gap between robust security and operational feasibility. Future research could explore hybrid algorithms combining classical and modern techniques.

Abstract

The algorithm in a program describes the flow or sequence of the program. A good program must have a good algorithm, where an algorithm is said to be good, one of which is the best use of time in processing the program. A sorting algorithm is an algorithm that carries out the sorting process in the program. Some existing sorting programs include bubble sort, insert sort and selection sort. In this research, the processing time of the three algorithms will be compared in sorting 100-10,000 random data both ascending and descending which are arranged in 15 combinations of data sequences. The sorting process is carried out using the C++ programming language. From the test results it was found that for fully random data the bubble sort algorithm performs the longest sorting process and the selection sort algorithm performs the process with the fastest average time and for almost sorted data the bubble sort algorithm performs the longest sorting process and the insert sort algorithm performs the process with the fastest average time

Abstract

Chemical laboratory wastewater contains hazardous compounds such as carcinogenic, toxic, and difficult-to-degrade substances, which can have a negative impact on the environment and human health. Therefore, the wastewater needs to be treated first before being discharged into the environment through the Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) system. This research aims to develop and evaluate a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)-based automatic wastewater quality monitoring system, focusing on two main parameters, namely pH value and turbidity. The system utilizes a pH sensor (SKU: SEN0161) and a turbidity sensor (SEN0189), whose measurement results are displayed in real-time through a Human Machine Interface (HMI). The main contribution of this research is the implementation of a PLC-based automatic monitoring system integrated with environmental sensors and HMI, which has been proven to replace manual laboratory testing more efficiently. The test results showed that the pH value of the treated wastewater was 6.00, in accordance with the quality standards of Permen LHK No. 68 of 2016 (range 6-9). The turbidity value was recorded at 27 NTU, close to the threshold set by Permenkes No. 32 Year 2017, which is a maximum of 25 NTU. Although the turbidity result slightly exceeds the threshold, the system still provides accurate and fast detection. A comparison with laboratory results showed that the PLC-based system provided results that were not significantly different quantitatively but more efficient in terms of response time and continuous monitoring. The system has the potential to be widely applied in laboratory wastewater management, which requires continuous and automated monitoring.

Abstract

Dokumen akademik seperti ijazah dan sertifikat kerap menjadi sasaran pemalsuan, yang dapat menurunkan kredibilitas institusi pendidikan. Penelitian ini mengembangkan sistem validasi dan arsip berkas berbasis teknologi blockchain untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Metode yang digunakan meliputi studi literatur, perancangan sistem dengan pendekatan arsitektur blockchain dan smart contract, serta implementasi integrasi dengan InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) untuk penyimpanan berkas digital. Diagram alir proses dimulai dari verifikasi akun melalui dompet digital (misalnya MetaMask), pengunggahan dokumen ke IPFS untuk menghasilkan Content Identifier (CID), pencatatan CID beserta metadata pada smart contract, hingga verifikasi transaksi melalui BlockExplorer. Pengujian dilakukan melalui dua skenario: (1) uji fungsionalitas penerbitan dokumen oleh akun yang memiliki hak akses dan (2) uji kontrol keamanan yang menolak submisi dari akun tidak berwenang. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu menjaga integritas data, menolak akses yang tidak sah, dan menyediakan validasi dokumen secara transparan.

Abstract

Speech processing has become a significant study domain within signal processing, artificial intelligence, and human-computer interaction. This work does a bibliometric analysis to ascertain research trends, notable problems, and prospective directions in voice processing. We assess significant research outputs, including publication growth, influential authors, renowned journals, and collaboration networks during the last two decades, using data sourced from credible scientific sources such as Scopus and Web of Science. The results underscore notable progress in automated voice recognition, speaker identification, and speech synthesis, while simultaneously confronting ongoing issues associated with multilingual datasets, noise resilience, and resource efficiency. Moreover, new technologies, such deep learning and neural architecture search, are recognized as catalysts for future developments. This bibliometric study seeks to provide scholars and practitioners with a thorough overview of the existing environment and strategic insights for the advancement of the voice processing domain.
