Jurnal Ilmu Ilmu Agribisnis: Journal of Agribusiness Science is published by the Department of Agribusiness, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung, in collaboration with PERHEPI, the Indonesian Agricultural Economist Association. The first printed Journal was published in 2013 and the online version started in May 2018 edition. The scopes include agribusiness, agricultural economics, agricultural development, rural sociology, agricultural extension, food security, and other subjects related to agriculture and society. This Journal is published four times a year, February, May, August, and November.

Abstract

This study aims to assess: (1) financial feasibility of sengon agribusiness of people, (2) sensitivity of financial feasibility, (3) prospects for the development of sengon agribusiness of people. This research was conducted in the Kedaung and Sumber Agung village, Kemiling Subdistrict, Bandar Lampung City were selected purposively. Respondents taken a census of 16 people who are farmers of sengon people. The first aim was analyzed using several criteria for measuring investment feasibility. The second aim was analyzed using sensitivity analysis with possibility of decline in production sengon of 11.15%, decrease in selling prices of timber sengon of 17.24%, and increase in production costs by 30%. The third aim assessed by quantitative descriptive and qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that: (1) farm sengon is financially feasible to cultivated indicated by the value of NPV Rp97.068.096,99, IRR of 76.96% is greater than the interest rate used is 19.25%, Gross B/C 4.26, Net B/C of 4.81 and PP for 5 years 8 months of age economical business for 6 years, (2) sengon farming is still feasible to decrease production by 11, 15%, decrease in selling prices of timber sengon by 17.24%, and the increase in production costs by 30%, (3) prospects for the development of highly prospective of sengon agribusiness of people or good to be developed. Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the farmers’ perception level on performance of extension workers in organic paddy development, the factors related to farmers’ perception on the performance, and the difference of perceptions between organic paddy farmers’ and nonorganic paddy farmers’ in performance of extension workers in organic paddy development in Pagelaran Subdistrict, Pringsewu district.  This research was conducted in Pagelaran Village and Gemah Ripah Village in Pagelaran subdistrict, Pringsewu District.  Respondents were 48 farmers’ consisting of all 24 organic paddy farmers’s and 24 nonorganic paddy farmers’ which taken randomly.  Data were analyzed using Rank Spearman and Mann Whitney. Result showed that farmers’ perception on extension workers performance in organic paddy development was included in medium classification. Factors with real related to farmers’ perception toward performance of extension in organic paddy development were their age, knowledge, duration as a farmer and social interactions. There was no difference between organic paddy farmers’perception and nonorganic paddy farmers’ perception toward performance of extension in organic paddy development.  Both organic paddy farmers’ and nonorganic paddy farmers’ gave a good enough valuation towards performance of extension in organic paddy development. Abstract

This study aims to determine : 1) The factors affecting the farmer’s decision become farmers group members, 2) The income of members and non-members of goat farmers group, 3) The welfare level of members and non-members of goat farmers group.  This study was conducted in Sungai Langka Village, Gedung Tataan Sub-district, Pesawaran Regency used by survey method.  Respondents were 18 farmers group members and 45 farmers group non-members.  Data collection was carried out in Juli-August 2014.  The data analysis methods were done by qualitative descriptive and quantitative were used by Logit models, income of tabulation, and welfare analysis based on BPS’s criteria (2012).  The results showed that 1) The income and sell price of goat farmers gave possitive effect against of the farmer’s decision become farmers group members, but their experiences gave negative effect, 2) There was differences of the farmer’s average income of goat farming. The income of farmers group members was higher than farmers group non-members, 3) The farmers group members and non-members classified as rich household. Abstract

This study aims to analyze:(1) the implementation process of funds distribution in PUAP Program at Gapoktan Bangun Rejo, Central Lampung, (2) the percentage of capital repayment level of PUAP, (3) the factors that affect credit refund level of PUAP. This research was conducted at Bangun Rejo, Central Lampung based on purposive. Amount of sample were 79 respondents whichconsists of 41people with current loan repayment and 38 people with non-current loan repayment. The first and second purpose were analyzed by using descriptively while and the third were analyzed by using logit method. The result showed  that(1) implementation process of funds distribution in PUAP Program for the member of farmers group at Gapoktan Tanjung Pandan or Cimarias have the same requirements and mechanisms, and the differences between them were amount of interest rate, sanctions and letter of borrowing stemped 6000,(2) overall, credit refund level of PUAP at Tanjung Pandan in every step revolving  has fluent loan quality with the percentage of 100%. While credit refund level at Cimarias has loan quality in specific concern with the percentage of 72.6% at first step and 51.66% at second step, this credit refund level also has the jammed loan quality 27.4% at first step and 48.33% at second step, (3) the factors that affected the level of group capital repayment  of PUAP were the level of education, age, family income and the knowledge of  PUAP. Abstract

The purposes of this research are to investigate the demand of powdered milk at the household level, to know what factors that influence the demand, to analyze satisfaction level and to know the influencing factors of household consumer satisfaction on consuming powdered milk in Bandar Lampung.  This research was conducted by purposive survey method in traditional, modern, and minimarket in Bandar Lampung.  The samples of this research were 80 people that taken by accidental sampling method.  Data collection was conducted from August until November 2014.  The demand level and its influencing factors were analyzed by using Cobb Douglass function, satisfaction of consuming powdered milk was measured by costumer satisfaction index (CSI), where as the factors that influenced household consumer satisfaction was analyzed by logistic regression analysis.  The result of this research showed that demand of powdered milk which consumed by household consumer was 670 g/ month.  The factor that influenced powdered milk demand was powdered milk cost, liquid milk cost, and income level.  There were 61 consumers felt satisfy with powdered milk performance.  Factors that influence consumer satisfaction level was powdered milk cost and buying location. Abstract

The objective of this research were to : (1) identify goat’s milk production and income, and (2) analyze marketing system efficiency of goat’s milk. Location of this research was in Sungai Langka Village Gedung Tataan District Pesawaran Regency was purposively selected,  37 breeders and 3 broker as marketing agency for the sample. Sampling method for breeders used census method, while sampling method for marketing agency used snowball method. Data are drawn in July-December 2014. This research used descriptive qualitative and quantitative for the data analysis. The results of this research showed that : (1) average of production  for goat’s milk  in location’s research is still below the potential.  Income is already profitable, and (2) marketing system of goat’s milk in location’s research was inefficient. Abstract

This research aims to determine the availability of processed snacks in elementary school in Bandar Lampung, students’ decision maker to consume the processed snacks and their consumption behavior, and analyze the differentiation of the students in consuming processed snacks, based on gender and nutritional status. This research is done in Kartika II-5 Elementary school and Rawa Laut 1 Elementary School.  The research data is collected from November 2014-March 2015 by survey method.  The research samples are 57 elementary school student of grade 4 and 13 food merchants.  The data is analyzed by descriptive analysis and Mann Whitney test.  The result showed that the availabilty of the processed snacks based on  nutrition contens  was not available enough.  There were30 kinds processed snacks in Kartika II-5 Elementary School and 15 kinds in Rawa Laut 1 Elementary School, that were available as the main meal and snack food.  The processed snacks made of carbohydrates source as majority of the raw materials, such as rice, flour, tapioca flour, corn and cassava.  The decision maker in consuming processed snacks was the student itself.  The processed snacks that were consumed by the students were mie instan, cireng, siomai, pempek and bakso tusuk.  Iinstant noodle was the most favorite food consumed by the students.  The average consumption frequency of each processed snacks were 3-6 times/month and the eating average per month of instant noodle, “cireng”, “siomai”, “pempek” and “bakso tusuk” were 440.70 grams; 324.21 grams; 1,056.14 grams; 466.67 grams and 137.54 grams respectively.  There was significant difference between the consumption of “siomai” by male and female students.  Male students tended to consume siomai 1,715 times more, than female students.
