Jurnal Ilmu Ilmu Agribisnis: Journal of Agribusiness Science is published by the Department of Agribusiness, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung, in collaboration with PERHEPI, the Indonesian Agricultural Economist Association. The first printed Journal was published in 2013 and the online version started in May 2018 edition. The scopes include agribusiness, agricultural economics, agricultural development, rural sociology, agricultural extension, food security, and other subjects related to agriculture and society. This Journal is published four times a year, February, May, August, and November.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the procurement of raw material, added value, and the factors causing inactivity of 18 cassava chips agroindustries. This research was conducted in Way Jepara District, East Lampung Regency in May -July 2018. Respondents were active and non-active cassava chips agroindustries in Way Jepara District. Procurement of raw materials is analyzed using six-component method. The added value is analyzed use Hayami's method, and the cause of inactivity of the 18 cassava chips agroindustries is analyzed qualitatively. The results showed that the procurement of raw materials with six components, namely time, place, price, quantity, quality, and type of active agroindustry is appropriate, because it is in line with the expectations of each active agroindustry. Three active agroindustries have a positive added value (NT>0) can absorb labor, and can increase the income of the community around the agroindustry. The main factors causing the inactivity of 18 cassava chips agroindustries in Way Jepara District in production are less extensive product marketing coverage and low level of demand for the chips produced.Key words: added value, agroindustry, cassava, raw material

Abstract

The aims of this research are to analyze consumer?s preferences, satisfaction, and loyalty of banana and cassava chips at chips agroindustry centers in Bandar Lampung. The agro industries were chosen purposively. There were 70 respondents taken by using accidental sampling. Data were collected in May-June 2018 and analyzed descriptively by using Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and loyalty pyramid method (switcher buyer, habitual buyer, satisfied buyer, liking the brand buyer, and committed buyer). The results of this research showed that the attributes of banana and cassava chips which become the consumers preferences were low prices, good taste, crispy texture, pleasant scent, harder to get, and attractive packaging. The satisfaction levels of the consumers of banana and cassava chips were both classified as satisfying and loyal consumers.Keywords: banana, cassava, chips, consumers, satisfaction

Abstract

This research aims to analyze pineapple farming income, household income, and the prosperity grade of pineapple farmer?s household in Astomulyo Village. This research was purposively conducted in February-March 2019 at Astomulyo Village, Punggur Sub District, Central Lampung Regency by survey method. There are 63 respondents taken by Simple Random Sampling. The data was analyzed quantitative and qualitative by farming income method (R/C ratio), household income based on the criteria of BPS (2016), and the welfare level of farmer?s household based on the criteria of BPS (2014). The results showed that average income of pineapple farmers based on cash cost and total cost per hectare wasRp46.526.933,00/year and Rp29.502.072,00/year. Pineapple farming was beneficial because it gained acceptance ratio with cash cost and total cost more than one (R/C ratio) as 3.33 and 1.80. The household income of pineapple farmers was categorized as high income for it reached Rp4.000.000,00/month until Rp6.000.000,00/month. The most contributed income was derived from pineapple farming activities (66.49%), the others were from off farming (13.74%), non-pineapple on farming (12.39%), and nonfarming activities (7.37%). Based on BPS criteria, 50.79% pineapple farmers household in Astomulyo Village were categorized in not prosperous and 49.21% as prosperous farmers household.Key words: household income, pineapple, prosperity grade

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze consumption pattern, food security level, and factors that influence the consumption pattern of household fisherman marker. This research was conducted by survey method. Location of this research was determined purposively in Maja Village, Kalianda District, South Lampung Regency. The amount of research samples of 40 fisherman labor with the respondents in the research were the heads of household and housewives. The data was collected in April-May 2018. Data analysis method used was quantitative analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The consumption pattern was assessed by non-consecutively the Desirable Dietary Pattern (DDP) score based on the food recall of household consumption for 2x24 hours. The DDP score was calculated from the energy intake of each group of food consumed. The results showed that the number of types of food consumed by fisherman household was 10-13 kinds (62.5%) and the frequency of food consumed by fisherman household is rice. TheDesirable Dietary Pattern (DDP) score of fisherman household was 66.72. The level of food security of fisherman household in Maja Village based on the results of cross classification between the level of energy sufficiency and share of food expenditure could be divided in four categories. There were11 households (27.5%) food resistant, 21 households (52.5%) less food, 4 households (10.0%) vulnerable food, and 4 households (10.0%) food insecure. The factors that influenced household?s consumption patterns at Maja Village were maternal age and household income.Keywords: consumption patterns, fishing households, food security.

Abstract

This research aims to know the financial feasibility evaluation and profitability at PT. SPU and AF in Jati Agung Sub-district of South Lampung Regency. This research location was selected purposively. The data was collected in October - December 2018. The research method used was comparative study. This research compares between PT SPU with AF. The respondents include the owners of each layer farm. The data analysis method used was qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The data analysis using profit analysis, Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Net Present Value (NPV), Payback Period (PP), Gross Benefit Cost Ratio (Gross B/C), Net Benefit Cost Ratio (Net B/C).with interest rate of 9 percent. The result showed that PT SPU and AF was profitable and can con continue to be developed. Financially, the business is still viable because the NPV and Net B/C is higher than 1, and the value of IRR is higher than the interest rate. Keywords: agribusiness system, layer, profit

Abstract

This research aims to analyze marketing mix that consists of agroindustry?s owner and coffee powder consumer pespective, agroindustry risk, risk management of ISO 31000: 2009, and financial ratio of agroindustry. This research is a case study method at coffee powder agroindustry in Kotabumi City Sub-District, North Lampung Regency. Data of this research were collected in December 2018 until February 2019. The results show that marketing strategy of agroindustry has used the 7P marketing mix component, which the product, place, price, process, people,and physical evidence are good, while for the promotion component, it has not been used optimally. Agroindustry risk consisting of production risk, price risk, and income risk shows the low value of risk. Agroindustry has well applied Management Risk of ISO 31000: 2009 which is based on operational risk that consist of process risk, people risk, and incidental risk. Financial ratio consisting of current ratio, debt to equity ratio, total asset turn over, and net profit margin shows a bad financial performance in 3 years production.Key words: agroindustry, coffee powder, financial ratio, marketing mix, risk

Abstract

The aims of this research are to analyze the level of food security, the factors that affect the level of food security, and the efforts to increase the level of food security of fisherman household. The location of this research is chosen purposively in Sukajaya Lempasing Village, Teluk Pandan Subdistrict, Pesawaran Regency in which respondents are 51 fisherman households. The data of this research are primary data and secondary data,collected in February ? May2018 and analyzed by cross-classification between the share of food expenditure and availability in addition to food sufficiency level, ordinal logistic regression, and descriptive qualitative analysis. The results of the research showed thatthe majority of respondent classified as less food were68.63% of respondents.The rest respondents were classified as foods secure13.73%, vulnerable to food 5.88%, and food insecure11.76%. The affecting factors on the level of food security were formal education level of housewives and household food expenditure. The efforts to increase the level of food security by Government were through monitoring food availability and food reserves, developing food distribution and stabilize food prices, Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH), and Raskin.While the efforts by fisherman household themselves werefood loan (92.16%) andchanging dietary habit(7.84%). Abstract

The purposes of this research were to determine the performance of organic and anorganic farming systems in wetland rice cultivation, rice farmers? perception, the related factors to farmers' perception, the differences in rice farmers? perceptions, and the constraints faced in that applications in Pajaresuk and Pujodadi Village. The data collection was conducted in November - December 2017. The research method used was census. The number of organic and anorganic rice farmers sampled were 35 farmers. The data was analyzed by descriptive analysis, Spearman rank correlation and the Mann-Whitney test. The results of this research show that the performance of organic and anorganic rice farming were land processing, seeding, planting, pest and disease controlling, fertilizating, irrigating, and harvesting. The differences performance of organic and anorganic rice farming were in seeding, pests and diseases controlling, and fertilizing. The rice farmers' perception to organic farming systems was quite good. The related factors to farmers' perception were social interaction, community support, and farmers' interests. There were no significant differences between organic farmers? perceptions and the anorganic farmers? perceptions. The constraint faced in the application of organic farming system was the difficulty of maintenance in cultivation, while in the application of anorganic farming systemwas the high costs, but the selling price was relatively low.
